PISCES.

双鱼

[1] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 1st degree of Pisces will be a government informer, well composed, having the means of life from royal resources. But he will obtain children from the debauching of sisters or of kinswomen [text uncertain]. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 2nd degree of Pisces will be of a harsh spirit, suspicious, jealous. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 3rd degree of Pisces will be entangled in the impure vices of lusts and polluted by the squalor of harlotry, one whose life is always assailed by public infamy.

〔一〕凡上升点在双鱼第一度的人，会成为政府的密探，举止端整，从王家的资财中得到生活之资。但他会从勾引姊妹或亲族之女中得到子女〔原文疑有讹误〕。凡上升点在双鱼第二度的人，会心性刻薄、多疑、善妒。凡上升点在双鱼第三度的人，会陷在情欲的不洁恶习里，被卖淫的污秽所玷污，他的一生总受公众污名的侵袭。

[2] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 4th degree of Pisces will be a cinaedus of effeminate habits. But if it is a woman, she will prostitute her chastity by a passive traffic in lusts. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 5th degree of Pisces, if Mercury and Venus are joined to it by any aspect whatever, will be rich, noble, long-lived, having the means of life from some art. He will make his way into the king's favor, and, advanced to a good old age, he will die well, leaving children as survivors.

〔二〕凡上升点在双鱼第四度的人，会成为习性柔靡的娈宠。倘若是女人，她会以被动的情欲买卖出卖贞洁。凡上升点在双鱼第五度的人，倘若水星与金星以无论什么相位与它相结，会富有、高贵、长寿，从某种技艺得到生活之资。他会打通门路得到国王的恩宠，年至善寿，死得安好，留下子女。

[3] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 6th degree of Pisces will die destroyed by beasts. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 7th degree of Pisces, if Mars has been found in that very degree, will be torn by beasts, or in water by a fish, and so will die. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 8th degree of Pisces [lacuna] whoever are born with Venus and Mercury present will be religious, just, long-lived, and handling the duties of letters. They will be royal scribes, known to kings; they will die leaving children as survivors.

〔三〕凡上升点在双鱼第六度的人，会被野兽毁灭而死。凡上升点在双鱼第七度的人，倘若火星就落在那一度，会被野兽撕裂，或在水中被鱼所伤，这样死去。凡上升点在双鱼第八度的人〔此处原文有缺〕凡有金星与水星在场而出生的人，会敬神、公正、长寿，执掌文书的职务。他们会成为王家的书记，为国王所知；他们死时会留下子女。

[4] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 10th degree of Pisces, if the Moon is well placed and Venus is placed in the degree of the Ascendant, will be great, powerful, known to all, joined to kings, traversing much land, sailing the great sea; he will be set over Liburnian galleys. Naval command will be committed to him; he will be superior in battle and a victor; he will have the greatest favor of love; he will be just and religious, but always unrestrained regarding intercourse with women, bestowing great things and obtaining everything. But he will die either by the anger of the king or by his hatred. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 11th degree of Pisces will lose his life [text uncertain] to beasts in desert places, or in wet places, or at any rate will perish without children by a violent death in his first period of life.

〔四〕凡上升点在双鱼第十度的人，倘若月亮落得好，金星又落在上升点的那一度，会伟大、有权势、为众人所知，与国王相连，行遍许多土地，航行大海；他会被派去统领利布尔尼亚战船。海军统帅之职会托付给他；他会在战斗中居上而得胜；他会得到爱的极大恩宠；他会公正而敬神，但在与女人交合上总是不知节制，施予大事，求得一切。但他会死于国王的愤怒或憎恨。凡上升点在双鱼第十一度的人，会在荒漠之地被野兽所害而丧命〔原文疑有讹误〕，或在潮湿之地，或至少在人生的第一个时期无子而横死。

[5] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 12th degree of Pisces will be a frenzied fisherman, and will die in his first period of life. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 13th degree of Pisces, with Venus and Jupiter present, will be rich and noble, and have life and the substance of life from some art. But if Mercury is joined to it by any aspect whatever, he will be a merchant, a dealer in drugs, rich and fortunate; he will die leaving children as survivors.

〔五〕凡上升点在双鱼第十二度的人，会成为狂乱的渔夫，并在人生的第一个时期死去。凡上升点在双鱼第十三度的人，有金星与木星在场，会富有而高贵，从某种技艺得到生命与生活之资。但倘若水星以无论什么相位与它相结，他会成为商人、药材商，富有而幸运；他死时会留下子女。

[6] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 14th degree of Pisces, the greatest marks of rank will be conferred on them. They will die in watery or wet places, or by pirates. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 15th degree of Pisces, with Mars present, will travel through the deserts of the earth and sail through unknown seas. They will be tormented and will always have their life on ships. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 16th degree of Pisces will be rich, long-lived, first among his kin.

[7] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 17th degree of Pisces will sing songs with a sweet melody. But if Mars has been found in that very degree, they will hang themselves with a noose. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 18th degree of Pisces will be bold, taking much food, sickly. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 19th degree of Pisces will be an orator and advocate, adorned with an abundance of learned speech. But if a benefic planet has lent testimony, he will be in the royal palace, commanding much by the modesty and gravity of his character, always adorned with an honorable manner of life.

〔七〕凡上升点在双鱼第十七度的人，会以甜美的旋律唱歌。但倘若火星就落在那一度，他们会以绳套自缢。凡上升点在双鱼第十八度的人，会大胆，吃得多，多病。凡上升点在双鱼第十九度的人，会成为演说家与辩护人，装点着丰沛的博学言辞。但倘若一颗吉星给了见证，他会在王宫里，以品格的谦和与庄重号令许多事，总装点着体面的生活方式。

[8] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 20th degree of Pisces die strangled in their first period of life. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 21st degree of Pisces will be toiling fishermen gathering sponges, and they die in their first period of life. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 22nd degree of Pisces will wander through many expanses of land and through many nations. But if Mars has borne testimony, they will be captives from their first period of life.

〔八〕凡上升点在双鱼第二十度的人，会在人生的第一个时期被扼死。凡上升点在双鱼第二十一度的人，会成为采集海绵的劳苦渔夫，在人生的第一个时期死去。凡上升点在双鱼第二十二度的人，会漂泊过许多地域、许多民族。但倘若火星作了见证，他们从人生的第一个时期起就会做俘虏。

[9] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 23rd degree of Pisces will be a fowler, having his substance of life from birds. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 24th degree of Pisces will die at sea. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 25th degree of Pisces will be a goldsmith, an engraver, a painter. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 26th degree of Pisces, with Mars and Saturn bearing testimony, will be bath attendants, drudges, seamen, unfortunate, dying a violent death, and men to whom the duties of operating machinery are entrusted.

〔九〕凡上升点在双鱼第二十三度的人，会成为捕鸟人，从鸟得到生活之资。凡上升点在双鱼第二十四度的人，会死在海上。凡上升点在双鱼第二十五度的人，会成为金匠、雕刻匠、画师。凡上升点在双鱼第二十六度的人，有火星与土星作见证，会成为浴室侍者、杂役、海员，不幸而横死，是被托付操作机械之职的人。

[10] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 27th degree of Pisces will be a fugitive wandering through many lands. But he will die pricked by a thorn. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 28th degree of Pisces, if Mars has been found in that very degree, will die torn by beasts in wet or watery places. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 29th degree of Pisces, if Jupiter and Venus have been placed in that very degree and the Moon is well placed, will be noble, rich, fortunate throughout his whole life. He will pass away by his own death.

〔十〕凡上升点在双鱼第二十七度的人，会成为漂泊许多地方的逃亡者。但他会被荆棘刺伤而死。凡上升点在双鱼第二十八度的人，倘若火星就落在那一度，会在潮湿或多水之地被野兽撕裂而死。凡上升点在双鱼第二十九度的人，倘若木星与金星就落在那一度，月亮又落得好，会高贵、富有，一生幸运。他会自然而终。

[11] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 30th degree of Pisces will have his life at sea; he will always be entangled in toilsome occupations. But if Mars is joined by any aspect whatever, he will be a Marsian, a magician, dying a violent death. But whoever have the Ascendant in the very end of the tail, that is, on the line which divides Pisces and Aries, with Mars placed on the same line, will be apocopi, cut off in their virile parts.

〔十一〕凡上升点在双鱼第三十度的人，会在海上过活；他总会缠在劳苦的营生里。但倘若火星以无论什么相位相结，他会成为马尔西人、术士，横死。但凡上升点在尾巴的最末端、即在分开双鱼与白羊的那条线上，又有火星落在同一条线上的人，会成为阿波科坡伊，即被割去男根的人。

[12] In the northern Fish rise the Stag and the Hare, in the southern Cetus, that is, the sea-monster. Whoever, then, has the Ascendant in the horns of the Stag, if Mars has been found in that very degree, will be a master of arms; he will lead armies, fight abroad, and die in battle. Whoever have the Ascendant in the mouth of the Stag will be Marsians who track down and seize serpents, dying a violent death. Whoever have the Ascendant in the feet of the Stag, wandering a great deal, will die by a violent death.

〔十二〕在北鱼中升起鹿座与兔座，在南鱼中升起刻托斯，即海怪。那么，凡上升点在鹿角的人，倘若火星就落在那一度，会成为兵器教官；他会统领军队，在外作战，战死。凡上升点在鹿嘴的人，会成为追踪捕捉蛇的马尔西人，横死。凡上升点在鹿足的人，会四处漂泊，横死。

[13] Whoever have the Ascendant in the Hare will be skilled helmsmen. Whoever have the Ascendant in the tail of Cetus, if Mars has been found in that very degree, will die torn by beasts. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 2nd degree of Cetus, with Venus and Mercury present, will be subject to the powerful, and, advancing from there, will obtain increases of life. Others will be slaves coming to great rank by the honorable and liberal merit of their servitude. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 3rd degree of Cetus will sail and travel around very many lands. But if Mars has been found in that very degree, they will die by pirates.

〔十三〕凡上升点在兔座的人，会成为熟练的舵手。凡上升点在刻托斯尾部的人，倘若火星就落在那一度，会被野兽撕裂而死。凡上升点在刻托斯第二度的人，有金星与水星在场，会受制于有权势的人，并由此前进，得到生活的增长。另一些人会是奴隶，凭他们奴役中体面而大方的功绩达到高位。凡上升点在刻托斯第三度的人，会航海，周游极多的地方。但倘若火星就落在那一度，他们会死于海盗。

In Which Degrees of the Signs the Bright Stars Are.

明亮诸星在星座的哪些度数

[1] We said in the sixth book that in very many signs there are bright stars, gleaming with the royal majesty of light. I shall therefore take care to set out what the Ascendant decrees in those degrees in which bright stars are found (what we said about the Moon in the sixth book).

〔一〕我们在第六卷说过，在极多的星座里有明亮的星，以光的王者威严闪耀。所以我要留心陈述，在那些找得到明亮之星的度数里，上升点判定什么（我们在第六卷关于月亮所说的）。

[2] In the 11th degree of Aries a bright star is shown. Whoever, then, has the Ascendant in this star, with Jupiter present or joined by a trine aspect, will be a great and powerful general, a friend of kings, possessing much and great land, lifted up by an honorable testimony of fame. But he will die by his own death.

〔二〕在白羊的第十一度显出一颗明亮的星。那么，凡上升点在这颗星上，有木星在场或以三分相结的人，会成为伟大而有权势的将军，国王的朋友，拥有许多广大的土地，被名声的体面见证抬高。但他会自然而死。

[3] In the horns of Taurus, in its 30th degree, there is a bright star. Whoever, then, has the Ascendant in the very horns of Taurus will be a king or a general. But whoever has the Ascendant in the right horn will be a great prince, and one to whom naval and land command is committed, terrible, hard-working, freeing many cities from the sieges of wars. He will be born an only child and will be without children. Inscriptions, statues and likenesses are publicly decreed to him, but afterwards, having offended kings, he will die. But in which star of Taurus these same things are decreed, or the Moon decrees these same things, the sixth book has already shown you.

[4] In the 2nd degree of Leo a clear star is found. Whoever has the Ascendant in this star will be a powerful king, possessing a double kingdom; but as often as Saturn and Mars come to this same star, so often are the greatest wars stirred up for him.

〔四〕在狮子的第二度找到一颗清亮的星。凡上升点在这颗星上的人，会成为有权势的国王，拥有双重王国；但每当土星与火星来到这同一颗星，就每次都为他挑起极大的战争。

[5] In the 13th degree of Scorpio there is a clear star. If the Moon, found in this star, has partilely occupied the Ascendant, whoever are born in it will be powerful and great, having the power of life and death, and men to whom the greatest part of the empire is committed.

〔五〕在天蝎的第十三度有一颗清亮的星。倘若落在这颗星上的月亮精确到度地占着上升点，凡生在其中的人会有权势而伟大，握有生杀之权，是被托付帝国最大部分的人。

[6] In the 19th degree of Scorpio there is likewise a clear star. If, then, the Moon is well placed, if the Ascendant is in this degree, he will be powerful. But if Jupiter is joined by a favorable aspect, he will be next to the king, possessing divine honors, outstanding and good, but negligent. Death will come to him from the indignation of the king.

〔六〕在天蝎的第十九度同样有一颗清亮的星。那么，倘若月亮落得好，倘若上升点在这一度，他会有权势。但倘若木星以顺遂的相位相结，他会近于国王，享有神圣的尊荣，出众而善良，却疏懒。死亡会从国王的义愤来到他身上。

[7] In the 22nd degree of Sagittarius there are clear stars. Whoever has the Ascendant in these very stars, with Jupiter placed in that same sign, will be great and powerful, possessing much land; he will lead an army of foot and horse; and naval command too will be entrusted to him. He will be victor in all battles; he will subjugate barbarians. Some cities he will restore, others he will overthrow. He will have a wife who has a defect in the necessary parts of the body. He will have children who survive him, but he will die in battle.

〔七〕在射手的第二十二度有几颗清亮的星。凡上升点就在这几颗星上、木星又落在同一个星座的人，会伟大而有权势，拥有许多土地；他会统领步兵与骑兵之军；海军统帅之职也会托付给他。他会在一切战斗中得胜；他会降服蛮族。有些城市他会恢复，另一些他会推翻。他会有一位在身体必需部位有缺损的妻子。他会有活过他的子女，但他会战死。

[8] In the 3rd degree of Capricorn there is a bright star. If Mars has been found in that sign, and the Moon is well placed, whoever is born in it will be great and powerful, having the greatest power of life and death. But he will be cruel, and one who rejoices in many slaughters; he will lead an army, and will be ingenious, great, bold, and will die in war.

〔八〕在摩羯的第三度有一颗明亮的星。倘若火星落在那个星座，月亮又落得好，凡生在其中的人会伟大而有权势，握有生杀的最大权力。但他会残忍，是以多次杀戮为乐的人；他会统领军队，机巧、伟大、大胆，并会死于战争。

[9] In the 1st degree of Aquarius there is a bright star. Whoever, then, has the Ascendant there, with Jupiter and Saturn joined by a favorable aspect, and the Moon well placed, will be a great king, glorious, religious, just, long-lived, but one on whom the greatest command of power is conferred as his age advances.

〔九〕在宝瓶的第一度有一颗明亮的星。那么，凡上升点在那里，木星与土星以顺遂的相位相结，月亮又落得好的人，会成为伟大的国王，荣耀、敬神、公正、长寿，却是随着年岁增长被授予权力最大统辖的人。

[10] In the 10th degree of Pisces there is a bright star, namely in the southern Fish. If, then, Venus has been found with the Ascendant in that very star, and the Moon is well placed, whoever is born in it will be great, powerful, known to the king; he will traverse many lands and sail the great sea. Command of Liburnian galleys and of the fleet will be committed to him. He will be victor in battles, he will be loved by all; he will be just and religious, indeed prone to intercourse with women, bestowing much and obtaining still more. He will die by the anger or the hatred of the king.
