第二十五章

LIBRA.

天秤

[1] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 1st degree of Libra will be beautiful in body and adorned with the lovable grace of charm. But if Saturn is in this degree, he will be unharmed in his whole body. In the 2nd degree of Libra there are very many stars, of which some are masculine, others feminine. Whoever have the Ascendant in the masculine stars will be noble hymn-singers, to whom the secrets of the gods are entrusted. But those who have it in the feminine stars will be cinaedi, always conspicuous for the grace of their urbanity.

〔一〕凡上升点在天秤第一度的人，会身体美好，装点着可爱的风韵之美。但倘若土星在这一度，他会全身无损。在天秤的第二度有极多的星，其中有些是阳性的，有些是阴性的。凡上升点在阳性诸星里的人，会成为高贵的颂歌歌者，被托付众神的秘密。但上升点在阴性诸星里的人，会成为娈宠，总以优雅的风度而显眼。

[2] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 3rd degree of Libra will be just and long-lived priests. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 4th degree of Libra will be a singer to the cithara, a musician, adorned with sweet-sounding tones. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 5th degree of Libra will be rich and wealthy, but such as are always engaged in lawsuits. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 6th degree of Libra will be rich, handling great offices of trade.

〔二〕凡上升点在天秤第三度的人，会成为公正而长寿的祭司。凡上升点在天秤第四度的人，会成为弹基塔拉琴的歌者、乐师，装点着悦耳的音调。凡上升点在天秤第五度的人，会富有而殷实，却总卷在讼案里。凡上升点在天秤第六度的人，会富有，经手贸易的大宗事务。

[3] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 7th degree of Libra, with Mars placed in that very degree, die a cruel death captured by pirates, or are torn apart by great beasts. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 8th degree of Libra will be a bath attendant and drudge. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 9th degree of Libra will be a dice-player conspicuous for his popular notoriety. This degree, moreover, also makes men exceedingly skilled in letters.

〔三〕凡上升点在天秤第七度的人，火星就在那一度，会被海盗俘获而惨死，或被巨兽撕裂。凡上升点在天秤第八度的人，会成为浴室侍者与杂役。凡上升点在天秤第九度的人，会成为以在民间声名狼藉而显眼的赌徒。此外，这一度也造就极精通文学的人。

[4] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 10th degree of Libra will be a cinaedus assailed by public infamy. But if this is the nativity of a woman, she will be prostituted to the passive desires of lusts. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 11th degree of Libra will die a dropsical death. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 12th degree of Libra will be engaged in lawsuits, known to all. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 13th degree of Libra will be religious and just, one to whom public trials are entrusted and whom the king always loves with a friendly affection. But he will die by his own death at an advanced age.

〔四〕凡上升点在天秤第十度的人，会成为受公众污名侵袭的娈宠。但倘若这是女人的本命，她会在被动的情欲中卖身。凡上升点在天秤第十一度的人，会死于水肿。凡上升点在天秤第十二度的人，会卷在讼案里，为众人所知。凡上升点在天秤第十三度的人，会敬神而公正，被托付公共审判，国王总以友爱之情爱他。但他会在高龄自然而死。

[5] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 14th degree of Libra will be a sculptor, and one who completes the images of the gods with a wonderful splendor of craftsmanship. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 15th degree of Libra will be a queen without children, short-lived; she will die by a violent death. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 16th degree of Libra will be a merchant, but one who always imports foreign wares.

〔五〕凡上升点在天秤第十四度的人，会成为雕塑家，以奇妙的工艺光彩完成众神的像。凡上升点在天秤第十五度的人，会成为没有子女的王后，短命；她会横死。凡上升点在天秤第十六度的人，会成为商人，却总是进口外邦的货物。

[6] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 17th degree of Libra, namely in the northern part, if the Moon, well placed, is moving with full light toward the benefics, it will make men of letters, scribes of kings, or men to whom the office of dictating is committed, conspicuous for the great honor of nobility. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 18th degree of Libra will be raised upon a cross by order of the emperor, or tortured in the presence of the emperor, or hanged by imperial order, but only when Mars has been found in that very degree.

〔六〕凡上升点在天秤第十七度、即在北边部分的人，倘若落得好的月亮带着满光行向吉星，会造就文人、国王的书记，或被托付口授文书之职的人，以高贵的极大荣誉而显眼。凡上升点在天秤第十八度的人，会奉皇帝之命被举上十字架，或在皇帝面前受刑，或奉皇命被绞死，但只在火星就落在那一度的时候。

[7] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 19th degree of Libra will be captured in a sudden attack of enemies. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 20th degree of Libra, namely in the northern part, will be physicians conspicuous for the famous nobility of their art. But if Mars has been found in that very degree, they will have occupations concerning measures and weights, but they will die without children. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 21st degree of Libra will be geometers, short-lived.

〔七〕凡上升点在天秤第十九度的人，会在敌人的突袭中被俘。凡上升点在天秤第二十度、即在北边部分的人，会成为以技艺的显赫高贵而显眼的医生。但倘若火星就在那一度，他们会有关于度量与衡器的营生，却会无子而死。凡上升点在天秤第二十一度的人，会成为几何学家，短命。

[8] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 22nd degree of Libra, if Mars has been found in that very degree, die a cruel death, slipping from a height or thrown headlong. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 23rd degree of Libra will be either a king or a queen. But, leaving many survivors behind, he will die by the sword. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 24th degree of Libra will be merchants who import foreign wares in ships. But if Mars is in that very degree, or is at its setting, they will die captured by pirates.

〔八〕凡上升点在天秤第二十二度的人，倘若火星就在那一度，会从高处滑落或被头朝下抛下，惨死。凡上升点在天秤第二十三度的人，会成为国王或王后。但他留下许多遗属，会死于剑下。凡上升点在天秤第二十四度的人，会成为以船进口外邦货物的商人。但倘若火星就在那一度，或在它的降落处，他们会被海盗俘获而死。

[9] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 25th degree of Libra will be an ironsmith, or one who handles metal goods. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 26th degree of Libra will be a weaver, but one whose mind is often shaken by the ailment of insanity. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 27th degree of Libra will be a dealer in drugs or a seller of incense. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 28th degree of Libra will be rich priests.

〔九〕凡上升点在天秤第二十五度的人，会成为铁匠，或经营金属器物的人。凡上升点在天秤第二十六度的人，会成为织工，但他的心常被疯癫之病摇撼。凡上升点在天秤第二十七度的人，会成为药材商或乳香商。凡上升点在天秤第二十八度的人，会成为富有的祭司。

[10] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 29th degree of Libra will be religious, just, benevolent, adorned with every goodness. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 30th degree of Libra will be liars, wordy, puffed up with an abundance of speech. But if the benefic planets have been placed there, they will be great physicians, travelers, dying a violent death. Whoever have the Ascendant in Bootes will be diviners, astrologers skilled in the Chaldaean art.

〔十〕凡上升点在天秤第二十九度的人，会敬神、公正、仁慈，装点着一切善。凡上升点在天秤第三十度的人，会成为说谎者，多话，因言辞的丰沛而自满。但倘若吉星落在那里，他们会成为伟大的医生、旅行者，横死。凡上升点在牧夫座的人，会成为占卜者，精通迦勒底之术的星占家。

SCORPIO.

天蝎

[1] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 1st degree of Scorpio will be an enchanter who soothes hidden pains by the power of words. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 2nd degree of Scorpio will be base, often polluted by the squalor of harlotry. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 3rd degree of Scorpio will be dwarfs, hunchbacked, ridiculous. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 4th degree of Scorpio will be dwarfs assigned to the amusements of kings or emperors.

〔一〕凡上升点在天蝎第一度的人，会成为以言辞之力平息隐痛的咒语师。凡上升点在天蝎第二度的人，会卑贱，常被卖淫的污秽所玷污。凡上升点在天蝎第三度的人，会成为侏儒，驼背，可笑。凡上升点在天蝎第四度的人，会成为被派给国王或皇帝取乐的侏儒。

[2] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 5th degree of Scorpio, with the Moon well placed, will be noble, just, religious, adorned with an illustrious partnership of marriage connections. They will have very many children. But they will have their substance of life from teaching or from interpretations. They will be scribes of the king, handling the duties of letters. The faithful friendship of kings will ennoble them. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 6th degree of Scorpio will be rich priests, having many children. But they will frequently die from the indignation of kings.

〔二〕凡上升点在天蝎第五度的人，月亮落得好，会高贵、公正、敬神，装点着显赫的婚姻结亲。他们会有极多的子女。但他们会从教学或从解释得到生活之资。他们会成为国王的书记，执掌文书之职。国王忠实的友谊会使他们高贵。凡上升点在天蝎第六度的人，会成为富有的祭司，有许多子女。但他们常会死于国王的义愤。

[3] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 7th degree of Scorpio will die by beasts. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 8th degree of Scorpio will be craftsmen. But these will die struck either by an asp or by a viper. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 9th degree of Scorpio will be a gardener, always devoted to the cultivation of gardens. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 10th degree of Scorpio will die in his first period of life. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 11th degree of Scorpio will be an inspired priest, giving responses to those who inquire.

〔三〕凡上升点在天蝎第七度的人，会死于野兽。凡上升点在天蝎第八度的人，会成为工匠。但这些人会被眼镜蛇或蝰蛇咬死。凡上升点在天蝎第九度的人，会成为园丁，总热衷于园圃的耕作。凡上升点在天蝎第十度的人，会在人生的第一个时期死去。凡上升点在天蝎第十一度的人，会成为有神灵附体的祭司，向求问的人给出答语。

[4] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 12th degree of Scorpio will be a slave of the temples or assigned to the services of the sacred rites. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 13th degree of Scorpio, with the Moon placed in some angle, will be judges carrying off famous marks of rank, judging on the sentences of other judges, having the greatest power of life and death.

〔四〕凡上升点在天蝎第十二度的人，会成为神庙的奴仆，或被派去侍奉神圣的仪礼。凡上升点在天蝎第十三度的人，月亮落在某个角，会成为取得显赫官阶标记的法官，审断其他法官的判决，握有生杀的最大权力。

[5] But this power is decreed for them from the 30th or the 35th year. And these will both obtain wives and raise children. They will have climacterics and perils in the 27th, the 42nd, and the 58th year; and if these perils come to pass, they will die in the 66th year. But they will be with some defect; they will die either by the sword or by iron, or in water, or suddenly. Whoever have the Ascendant in the 14th degree of Scorpio [lacuna]

[6] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 16th degree of Scorpio will be bakers. But if the Moon is in any sign of a bright star, they will be judges with a great power of licence. But if Mars has been found in the cast-down places, it will make executioners, but their own necks will be cut off by the sword. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 17th degree of Scorpio will be a goldsmith, a gilder, a gold-leaf beater.

〔六〕凡上升点在天蝎第十六度的人，会成为面包师。但倘若月亮在任何一个有明亮之星的星座，他们会成为有极大许可之权的法官。但倘若火星落在低陷的宫位，会造就刽子手，但他们自己的脖子会被剑砍断。凡上升点在天蝎第十七度的人，会成为金匠、镀金匠、打金箔的。

[7] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 18th degree of Scorpio will die torn by beasts. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 19th degree of Scorpio, with the Moon well placed, will be adorned with a great power of happiness; he will have the greatest power of life and death. But if Jupiter has aspected the Ascendant by any aspect whatever, his power will be so great that it is compared to royal rule. But in public affairs he will be excessively negligent. He will die having offended the emperor.

〔七〕凡上升点在天蝎第十八度的人，会被野兽撕裂而死。凡上升点在天蝎第十九度的人，月亮落得好，会装点着幸福的极大权力；他会握有生杀的最大权力。但倘若木星以无论什么相位照着上升点，他的权力会大到可比王权。但在公务上他会过分疏忽。他会冒犯皇帝而死。

[8] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 20th degree of Scorpio will be a powerful general, a warrior, who leads an army with success. He will win countless victories, one whose valor and glory are compared to royal rule. Elated by an excessive increase of happiness, he will deal in rebellious thoughts of attempting the throne. He will be bold and rash, leaving children as survivors. He will die by fire or having offended the king.

〔八〕凡上升点在天蝎第二十度的人，会成为有权势的将军、战士，带领军队获胜。他会赢得无数胜利，他的勇武与荣耀可比王权。因幸福的过度增长而得意，他会怀着觊觎王位的叛逆念头。他会大胆而鲁莽，留下子女。他会死于火，或因冒犯国王而死。

[9] Whoever has the Ascendant in the 21st degree of Scorpio, in the first right foot of Scorpio, will be a fisherman, but one who gathers sea sponges. Whoever has the Ascendant in the second foot will die by some beast or by a four-footed animal. Those who have the Ascendant in the third foot will be gardeners. Those who have the Ascendant in the fourth foot will be cinaedi, and women harlots of prostituted chastity.

〔九〕凡上升点在天蝎第二十一度、在天蝎右边第一只足的人，会成为渔夫，但却是采集海中海绵的。上升点在第二只足的人，会死于某种野兽或某种四足兽。上升点在第三只足的人，会成为园丁。上升点在第四只足的人，会成为娈宠，女人则成为出卖贞洁的淫妇。

[10] Whoever, in the 22nd degree of Scorpio, has the Ascendant in the first left foot will be a gardener; in the second, he will die by beasts; in the third, they will be barbers; in the fourth, he will be killed by pirates or will die by beasts in wet places. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 23rd degree of Scorpio, if the Moon, Venus, and Mars are placed in that very degree, will be powerful, rich, long-lived, one for whom increases of happiness are decreed at an advanced age. And he will rejoice in a numerous offspring of children.

〔十〕在天蝎第二十二度，上升点在左边第一只足的人，会成为园丁；在第二只足，他会死于野兽；在第三只足，他们会成为理发匠；在第四只足，他会被海盗杀死，或在潮湿之地死于野兽。凡上升点在天蝎第二十三度的人，倘若月亮、金星与火星就落在那一度，会有权势、富有、长寿，是在高龄被判定幸福增长的人。他也会以众多的子女后代而欢喜。

[11] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 24th degree of Scorpio will, at the prompting of avaricious greed and the madness of parricidal fury, kill their brothers, but they too will themselves die by a violent death. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 25th degree of Scorpio, if Mars has been found in that very degree, or joined through opposition or through square, will be burned by fire.

〔十一〕凡上升点在天蝎第二十四度的人，在贪婪的催促与弑亲狂怒的驱使下，会杀死他们的兄弟，但他们自己也会横死。凡上升点在天蝎第二十五度的人，倘若火星就在那一度，或以对冲或四分相结，会被火烧。

[12] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 26th degree of Scorpio will be orators, advocates, physicians, but such as the talent of their profession ennobles. With the testimony of the benefic planets an embassy of their fatherland will be entrusted to them. But these will die having offended the king. Whoever has the Ascendant in the 27th degree of Scorpio, with Venus and Jupiter present, will be rich, just, lovable, long-lived, overtaken by the love of many women. And with the advance of age increases of happiness will come to him. He will obtain in his fatherland the greatest increases of glory and rank.

〔十二〕凡上升点在天蝎第二十六度的人，会成为演说家、辩护人、医生，却是职业的才能使之高贵的。有吉星的见证，祖国的出使之任会托付给他们。但这些人会冒犯国王而死。凡上升点在天蝎第二十七度的人，有金星与木星在场，会富有、公正、可爱、长寿，为许多女人的爱所追。随着年岁的增长，幸福的增长也会来到他。他会在祖国获得荣耀与官阶的最大增长。

[13] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 28th degree of Scorpio will be squint-eyed, men whose distorted eyes a good grace of charm adorns. They will indeed be negligent. But if Mars is in that very degree, they will suffer an outpouring of blood. Some will be elephantiac, some frenzied. But if the Moon, full in light, is moving toward Mars, [lacuna] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 29th degree of Scorpio will be wise advocates. But if a benefic planet has been found in that very degree, they will be sent as envoys to the emperor, and will accomplish everything that has been entrusted to them in the embassy. They will obtain rewards, but they will have a defect in the necessary parts of the body.

〔十三〕凡上升点在天蝎第二十八度的人，会斜眼，但良好的风韵之美装点着他们歪斜的眼睛。他们确实会疏懒。但倘若火星就在那一度，他们会遭受血的倾泻。有的会患象皮病，有的会狂乱。但倘若满光的月亮行向火星，〔此处原文有缺〕凡上升点在天蝎第二十九度的人，会成为明智的辩护人。但倘若一颗吉星就落在那一度，他们会被派作使节去见皇帝，完成出使中托付给他们的一切。他们会得到奖赏，但身体的必需部位会有缺损。

[14] Whoever have the Ascendant in the 30th degree of Scorpio will be Marsians, poisoners selling poisons for the killing of men, so that by this pursuit they kill many. They will indeed be liars, wicked, malicious. But if Mars has been found in that very degree, they will be hunters, but dying a violent death. Next to Scorpio lie, on the right side, Ophiuchus and the Fox, on the left the Cynocephalus and the Altar. Those who are born in Ophiuchus will be bold and inspired, knowing the future by a presaging impulse of divinity.

〔十四〕凡上升点在天蝎第三十度的人，会成为马尔西人，是贩卖毒药以杀人的投毒者，以致靠这营生杀死许多人。他们确实会说谎、邪恶、恶毒。但倘若火星就在那一度，他们会成为猎人，却横死。紧挨天蝎，在右侧有蛇夫座与狐狸座，在左侧有犬首狒狒座与祭坛座。生在蛇夫座的人，会大胆而有神灵附体，以神性的预示冲动知晓未来。

[15] Those who are born in the Fox will be crafty, fraudulent, swindlers, very shrewd, having the means of life [lacuna] seeking them from the cultivation of the earth. But if Saturn has been found in that very place, they will be guardians of tombs. And these will die through treachery. Those who are born in the Cynocephalus will be frenzied, sickly, without children, short-lived. Those who are born in the Altar will be priests having the means of life from sacrifices, but perjured and perishing by an evil death.

〔十五〕生在狐狸座的人，会狡猾、欺诈、行骗，极其精明，有生活之资〔此处原文有缺〕从耕种土地中求得。但倘若土星就在那个位置，他们会成为坟墓的看守。这些人会死于奸计。生在犬首狒狒座的人，会狂乱、多病、无子、短命。生在祭坛座的人，会成为靠祭牲得生活之资的祭司，却发伪誓，以恶死而亡。
