On the Condemned.

论被判罪的人

[1] If the place of necessity has been found in the house of Mercury, while the Moon has been found in the house of Saturn or of Mars, and Mars or Saturn aspects Mercury by a square or an opposite aspect, or they have been placed with it in some angle, or if they are in the succedents or in the epicataphoras of the angles, or if they have been placed in the Ascendant or in the place of Fortune or in the place of necessity, they cause men to be condemned in some manner or other.

〔一〕倘若必然之宫落在水星的庙里，而月亮落在土星或火星的庙里，火星或土星以四分或对冲照着水星，或与它同在某个角，或者它们落在诸角的续宫或埃皮卡塔福拉，或落在上升点、幸运之宫或必然之宫，它们会使人以这样那样的方式被判罪。

[2] But if the place of necessity has been found in the house of Mercury or in the house of the Moon, or in the house of Mars or in the house of Saturn, and that place is itself placed partilely in some angle of the nativity, and one of all these planets of which we have made mention has been found in the succedents or in the epicataphoras, they will in like manner cause men to be condemned. And the condemnations are to the mines, to public works, to exile, and to the gladiatorial school.

[3] And also if the place of necessity has been found in the houses of those planets we have named, and some of them are in the succedents or in the epicataphoras, while others are in the angles, they cause the peril of a just condemnation to be imposed. But if, with all these arranged as we have said, Jupiter, placed in the Midheaven, meets the malefic planets with a favorable aspect, it will mitigate the perils of all condemnations. For then, after a certain space of time, freed from the aforesaid condemnations, they will be restored by the judgment of the emperor both to their ranks and to their fatherland. But if the testimony of Jupiter has been denied to all these, they will cause those justly condemned to be subjected to a severe punishment.

[4] If the lord of the sign in which the place of necessity has been found, placed in the house of Mars or of Saturn or in the house of Mercury, is in the Ascendant or placed in the place of necessity, it will bring about condemnation. And also if the place of necessity itself, together with its lord, has been placed in the aforesaid places, it will bring about condemnation.

〔四〕倘若必然之宫所在星座的主星，落在火星或土星的庙里或水星的庙里，而又在上升点或落在必然之宫，它会招致判罪。又倘若必然之宫本身连同它的主星落在前述的位置，也会招致判罪。

[5] If the place of necessity has been found in the house of Mercury, and Mercury is placed in some angle, while Mars and Saturn are in the succedents of the angles or placed in the epicataphoras, they will bring about condemnation. But if, with all these arranged as we have said, the Moon has been found either in the angles or in the succedents or in the epicataphoras of the angles, the condemned will die by a violent death.

〔五〕倘若必然之宫落在水星的庙里，而水星落在某个角，火星与土星在诸角的续宫或落在埃皮卡塔福拉，它们会招致判罪。但倘若这一切如我们所说排列，而月亮落在诸角，或在诸角的续宫或埃皮卡塔福拉，被判罪的人会横死。

[6] If the place of necessity has likewise been found in the house of Mercury, and Mercury, placed in the house of Saturn, has been found either in the succedents or in the epicataphoras of the angles, with Mars and Saturn placed partilely in the angles and Jupiter removed from them, the sentence of a just condemnation will be pronounced, and with the assent of all.

〔六〕倘若必然之宫同样落在水星的庙里，而落在土星之庙的水星在诸角的续宫或埃皮卡塔福拉，火星与土星精确到度地落在诸角，木星又远离它们，就会宣告公正判罪的判决，而且众人都赞同。

[7] If the place of necessity has fallen in the place of Fortune, or the lord of the place of Fortune has been found in the place of necessity, or the lord of the place of necessity has been placed in the place of Fortune, they will cause the sentence of a just condemnation to be passed.

〔七〕倘若必然之宫落在幸运之宫，或幸运之宫的主星落在必然之宫，或必然之宫的主星落在幸运之宫，它们会使人受到公正判罪的判决。

On Eunuchs and Hermaphrodites.

论阉人与两性人

[1] If the Sun and the Moon have been found in feminine signs, either placed together or set in different places, and Venus, placed in a feminine sign, is in some angle, while the Moon and Mars have been placed partilely in any angle whatever, they will make either eunuchs or hermaphrodites. But if the Sun and the Moon, in the same manner we have described, have been placed in masculine signs, and if Venus is placed in a masculine sign, and this is the nativity of a woman, women will be born who, girded with a manly spirit, desire to have intercourse with women in the manner of men.

〔一〕倘若太阳与月亮落在阴性星座，或同在一处，或分在不同的位置，而落在阴性星座的金星在某个角，月亮与火星又精确到度地落在无论哪一个角，它们会造就阉人或两性人。但倘若太阳与月亮以我们所说的同样方式落在阳性星座，金星也落在阳性星座，而这是女人的本命，就会生下这样的女人：她们带着男子的心气，想要像男人那样与女人交合。

[2] If Venus has been found in the house of Mercury, and Mercury in that of Venus, or if they have done this same thing in their terms, while the Moon is placed in Virgo, or in Capricorn, or in Taurus, or in Leo, and the other, masculine, planets are in feminine signs and the feminine ones in masculine signs, two-formed persons and hermaphrodites will be born.

〔二〕倘若金星落在水星的庙里，水星落在金星的庙里，或者它们在界里做同样的事，而月亮落在处女、摩羯、金牛或狮子，其余阳性的行星在阴性星座，阴性的行星在阳性星座，就会生下双形之人与两性人。

On the Impure.

[3] If Mercury and Venus are placed together in the 19th degree of Aries, they make men impure in the mouth. And also if Venus and the Moon have held the 30th degree of any sign whatever, and aspect each other through a square and opposition, they will cause these same vices to be practiced secretly. But if the lords of those signs in which the Moon and Venus occupy the 30th degree have aspected these same signs by any aspect, they will practice these same vices publicly, without any concern for shame.

〔三〕倘若水星与金星同在白羊的第十九度，它们会使人口中不洁。又倘若金星与月亮占着无论哪一个星座的第三十度，并以四分与对冲彼此相照，它们会使人暗中行这同样的恶习。但倘若月亮与金星所占第三十度的那些星座的主星，以任何相位照着这些星座，他们会公开行这同样的恶习，全不顾羞耻。

On the Barren and on Cinaedi.

论不育者与娈宠

[4] If Mars and Venus, placed in morning rising, have been set together in a masculine sign, they make women viragos and barren. But in the nativities of men, if they have been placed together in feminine signs in evening rising, and Saturn has aspected them by any aspect, they will make cinaedi who serve in the chants of the temples. But if this conjunction of the planets is in Aries or in Capricorn, these same vices of lust are decreed. And also if [probably: Saturn or Mars] [lacuna] has aspected Venus by an opposite or a square aspect, and the testimony of Jupiter is denied to them all, in the nativities of women declare that procuresses will be born [text uncertain], but in the nativities of men say that they will be castrated galli and cinaedi.

〔四〕倘若处于晨升的火星与金星同在一个阳性星座，它们会使女人成为女丈夫而且不育。但在男人的本命里，倘若它们处于昏升而同在阴性星座，土星以任何相位照着它们，就会造就在神庙的颂唱中侍奉的娈宠。但倘若行星的这次合相在白羊或摩羯，所判定的也是这同样的情欲之恶。又倘若〔推测：土星或火星〕〔此处原文有缺〕以对冲或四分照着金星，而木星的见证对它们全都欠缺，在女人的本命里要宣告会生下鸨母〔原文疑有讹误〕，在男人的本命里则要说他们会成为被阉割的加利祭司与娈宠。

[5] If the Moon aspects Saturn by an opposite aspect, while Mars is so placed that it sees these from a square and Venus from opposition, and all these four are in exchanged houses, they make women barren and viragos, and males cinaedi. And also if Saturn, placed with the Moon in one sign, has been set in the same degree of the sign, it will make cinaedi.

〔五〕倘若月亮以对冲照着土星，火星落得从四分看见它们，金星从对冲看见它们，而这四颗全都在互换的庙里，它们会使女人不育并成为女丈夫，使男人成为娈宠。又倘若土星与月亮同在一个星座，而落在该星座的同一度，它会造就娈宠。

[6] The Moon too and Venus, placed in the same degree, make cinaedi; Venus too and the Sun, placed in the 8th place from the Ascendant, make cinaedi. And also if Mercury and Venus are placed in the houses of the malefic planets, while Mars and Saturn are in the house of Venus, they bring about this same thing in like manner.

〔六〕月亮与金星落在同一度，也造就娈宠；金星与太阳落在从上升点起的第八宫，也造就娈宠。又倘若水星与金星落在凶星的庙里，而火星与土星在金星的庙里，它们同样造成这事。

[7] But I shall show briefly how you may gather this by an exact reckoning. Count from the Moon to Venus, and the same amount from the Ascendant. If the number falls in a feminine sign, and the Moon is placed in a feminine sign from the 25th to the 30th degree, you will find males to be cinaedi, but such as practice this vice secretly, and females in like manner to be prostitutes.

〔七〕但我要简要地说明，你怎样以精确的计算求得这一点。从月亮数到金星，再从上升点数出同样的数。倘若这个数落在阴性星座，而月亮落在阴性星座第二十五度到第三十度之间，你会发现男人是娈宠，但是暗中行这恶习的，女人同样是娼妓。

[8] But when the preceding number is present, count from Venus to the Moon, and the same amount from the Ascendant, and if the number falls in a feminine sign, say that the men have been exposed in these lusts. You will declare this same thing for women as well. And if, with the two numbers placed as we have said, the Moon and Venus, placed in feminine signs, are situated in the last degrees of the signs, and the preceding numbers have been found in feminine signs, they bring about these infamies with public disgrace.

〔八〕但前面那个数有了之后，再从金星数到月亮，也从上升点数出同样的数；倘若这个数落在阴性星座，要说这些男人在这些情欲中已经暴露。对女人你也要宣告同样的事。又倘若两个数如我们所说落定，而落在阴性星座的月亮与金星位于星座的最后几度，前面那两个数又都落在阴性星座，它们会使这些丑事伴着公开的耻辱。

[9] But if Venus is not with the Moon, but, placed in evening rising and set in the last degrees of a feminine sign, has aspected the Moon, placed in the last degrees of a sign, by a square aspect, it will make males cinaedi and women prostitutes, but such as always practice these lusts secretly. But if from the preceding number you have found feminine signs, and, these being as we have said, Saturn, placed in a feminine sign, has aspected the Moon or Venus by a square aspect, it will make cinaedi who are deformed and poor.

〔九〕但倘若金星不与月亮同在，而是处于昏升、位于阴性星座的最后几度，以四分照着位于星座最后几度的月亮，它会使男人成为娈宠、女人成为娼妓，但他们总是暗中行这些情欲。但倘若你由前面的数求得阴性星座，而这些如我们所说，落在阴性星座的土星以四分照着月亮或金星，它会造就丑陋而贫穷的娈宠。

[10] But if, with all arranged as we have said, Mars has been found with Saturn, it will make castrated galli. But if, with these arranged as we have said, and both numbers gathered by an exact reckoning, Venus, placed in the last degrees, aspects Saturn and Mars, it will make fortunate cinaedi, to whom the offices of the temples are entrusted, or it will cause noble women to be entangled in the vices of prostitutes.

〔十〕但倘若这一切如我们所说排列，而火星与土星同在，它会造就被阉割的加利祭司。但倘若这些如我们所说排列，两个数都以精确的计算求得，而位于最后几度的金星照着土星与火星，它会造就幸运的娈宠，被托付神庙的职事；或者使贵族女子陷入娼妓的恶习。

[11] If Mars, Mercury, Venus, and the Moon are either together in tropical signs or aspect one another by a square aspect, they make prostitutes, but their pursuits change according to the variety of the signs. For if they are in feminine signs, as we have said, they make prostitutes, but if in masculine ones, viragos.

〔十一〕倘若火星、水星、金星与月亮或同在回归星座，或以四分彼此相照，它们会造就娼妓，但她们所从事的随星座的不同而变化。因为倘若它们如我们所说在阴性星座，会造就娼妓；倘若在阳性星座，则造就女丈夫。

[12] If the Moon has been found with Mars and Venus in the Ascendant, and the Sun is placed in the 12th place from the Ascendant, while Saturn aspects the Ascendant by a square or an opposite aspect, it will make castrated galli and cinaedi, but only if the testimony of Jupiter is lacking to them all. If Venus and Saturn are either together or have aspected each other by a square aspect, or are hidden by the rays of the Sun, and the Moon is placed in feminine signs, with the Ascendant placed in a feminine sign, they make secret cinaedi.

〔十二〕倘若月亮与火星、金星同在上升点，太阳落在从上升点起的第十二宫，而土星以四分或对冲照着上升点，它会造就被阉割的加利祭司与娈宠，但只限于木星的见证对它们全都欠缺的时候。倘若金星与土星或同在一处，或以四分彼此相照，或被太阳的光线遮住，而月亮落在阴性星座，上升点也落在阴性星座，它们会造就暗中的娈宠。

[13] But if Saturn and Venus have been placed in morning rising, they cause men to be publicly exposed in this stain of lusts. But if Mars, placed in evening rising, has aspected them by a square or an opposite aspect, it will make public cinaedi. But if, with all these arranged as we have said, Mars has been found in the angles, it will make castrated galli. But if it is a feminine nativity, and all these planets have been placed, as we have said, in masculine signs, they make a lustful virago.

〔十三〕但倘若土星与金星处于晨升，它们会使人在这情欲的污点里公开暴露。但倘若处于昏升的火星以四分或对冲照着它们，会造就公开的娈宠。但倘若这一切如我们所说排列，而火星落在诸角，会造就被阉割的加利祭司。但倘若是女人的本命，而这些行星全都如我们所说落在阳性星座，它们会造就淫荡的女丈夫。

[14] In general, indeed, if the Moon, the Sun, and the Ascendant are in Capricorn, or in Aries, or in Taurus, or in Leo, in such a way that they are in the face of these signs or in the back, they decree the impurities of all lusts with an extreme effeminacy of the body. In every nativity, if the Moon has been found in the tail of Leo, it will make cinaedi who serve the drums of the Mother of the Gods. But if she has been found in the face of Leo, or in the face of Capricorn, or in the face of Aries, or in the face of Taurus, she hurls both women and men headlong into all the vices of impurity.

〔十四〕大体说来，倘若月亮、太阳与上升点在摩羯、白羊、金牛或狮子，而且是在这些星座的脸部或背部，它们会判定一切情欲的不洁，加上身体极度的柔靡。在任何本命里，倘若月亮落在狮子的尾部，会造就为众神之母击鼓侍奉的娈宠。但倘若她落在狮子的脸部、摩羯的脸部、白羊的脸部或金牛的脸部，她会把女人与男人都头朝下抛进一切不洁的恶习里。

[15] But if Saturn and Venus, placed together, namely in the 7th place of the nativity, have aspected the Moon, placed in these signs, by a square aspect, they make cinaedi. But if Mars has joined itself to these by any aspect, they render them public cinaedi. Also, if Mars and Saturn have aspected Venus, placed in Taurus, or in Leo, or in Virgo, or in Capricorn, by any aspect, they will in like manner make cinaedi.

〔十五〕但倘若土星与金星同在，即在本命的第七宫，以四分照着落在这些星座的月亮，它们会造就娈宠。但倘若火星以任何相位与它们相结，会使他们成为公开的娈宠。又倘若火星与土星以任何相位照着落在金牛、狮子、处女或摩羯的金星，它们同样会造就娈宠。

[16] If in a night nativity the Moon has been found in the 12th or in the 6th place from the Ascendant, or in a day nativity the Sun has been placed in these same places, and the Moon in the night nativity is in the terms of Venus, or the Sun in the day nativity is placed in the terms of Venus, while Venus, placed in the 7th place from the Ascendant or in the lower Midheaven, is in her own terms, cinaedi are born. But if Mars has aspected these, arranged as we have said, by a square or an opposite aspect, it will make castrated galli. In all cases, however, look for the testimony of Jupiter; for if it is present, these vices are in some measure either mitigated or concealed.

〔十六〕倘若在夜间本命盘里月亮落在从上升点起的第十二宫或第六宫，或在白天本命盘里太阳落在这同样的宫位，而夜间本命盘的月亮在金星之界，或白天本命盘的太阳在金星之界，同时落在从上升点起第七宫或天底的金星在自己的界里，就会生下娈宠。但倘若火星以四分或对冲照着如我们所说排列的这些，会造就被阉割的加利祭司。但在一切情形下，都要找木星的见证；因为倘若它在，这些恶习会在某种程度上减轻，或被掩盖。

On Eunuchs.

论阉人

[17] If the Moon has been found in barren signs, and Saturn is placed partilely with her, and Venus has aspected them by any aspect, while Saturn is in the terms of Venus and Venus in the terms of Saturn, and Jupiter does not aspect the Moon by any aspect, they will become eunuchs. But if the Moon is with Saturn in earthy signs as we have said, while Venus has exchanged terms with Saturn, and the testimony of Jupiter is likewise absent, they will become eunuchs, but such as have intercourse with women.

〔十七〕倘若月亮落在不育星座，土星精确到度地与她同在，金星以任何相位照着它们，同时土星在金星之界、金星在土星之界，而木星不以任何相位照着月亮，他们会成为阉人。但倘若月亮如我们所说与土星同在土象星座，金星与土星互换了界，木星的见证同样缺席，他们会成为阉人，但却是与女人交合的那种。

On Tracking Down Cinaedi.

论追查娈宠

[18] Now I shall make known to you exactly the place of lusts, so that you may find the vices of all lusts by true reckonings. Count from the Moon to Saturn, and however great a number of signs has been found, count that much again from the Ascendant, and in whatever sign the last number comes, that sign shows you the place of vices and lusts.

〔十八〕现在我要准确地向你说明诸欲之宫，好让你以真实的计算找出一切情欲的恶习。从月亮数到土星，求得多少个星座，就从上升点再数出同样多，最后的数落在哪一个星座，那个星座就向你显示恶习与情欲之宫。

[19] If, then, the sign in which the place of lust has partilely fallen is feminine, and a malefic planet has aspected this same place by either a square or an opposite aspect, while Venus is placed in some angle, cinaedi will be born, but secret ones. But if the place of lusts, gathered by an exact reckoning, has been found in the cast-down places from the Ascendant, in a feminine sign, it will make men polluted by every stain of impurity. But if, with this place set as we have said, the Moon is either in the first degrees of Pisces, or of Capricorn, or of Leo, or in the last degrees of Taurus, it will cause men to be entangled in the impure vices of lusts.

〔十九〕那么，倘若情欲之宫精确落入的星座是阴性的，一颗凶星以四分或对冲照着这同一个宫，而金星落在某个角，就会生下娈宠，但是暗中的。但倘若以精确的计算求得的诸欲之宫，落在从上升点算起低陷的宫位，又在阴性星座，它会使人被一切不洁的污点所玷污。但倘若这个宫如我们所说落定，而月亮或在双鱼、摩羯、狮子的最初几度，或在金牛的最后几度，它会使人陷入情欲的不洁恶习。

[20] But if, with the place of lusts placed in the cast-down places and struck by the testimonies of the malefic planets, the Sun and the Moon have been found in the cast-down places from the Ascendant, either in the signs of the malefic planets or in their own depressions, they make public cinaedi, entangled in the impure vices of all lusts. And these grow stronger if the place of lust is in Capricorn, or in Aries, or in Taurus.

〔二十〕但倘若诸欲之宫落在低陷的宫位，又受凶星见证的打击，而太阳与月亮落在从上升点算起低陷的宫位，或在凶星的星座，或在自己的低落之处，它们会造就公开的娈宠，陷在一切情欲的不洁恶习里。倘若情欲之宫在摩羯、白羊或金牛，这些会更加强烈。

[21] If Venus has been found to be lady of the nativity, and, holding the dominion, is placed together with Mars, namely in a feminine sign and in the cast-down places from the Ascendant, while Saturn, placed in a masculine sign and set in its own signs or in its own degrees, has aspected the Ascendant from a trine and [lacuna] from a square, and the Moon is placed in the cast-down places, cinaedi will be born. If the Moon, Venus, Mars, and Saturn are placed in feminine signs, namely in the cast-down places from the Ascendant, and are either placed together or in square, they make public cinaedi. But if one of all these is well placed, it will make men who practice these vices secretly.

〔二十一〕倘若金星被发现是本命之女主，掌着主权，与火星同在，即在阴性星座、在从上升点算起低陷的宫位，而落在阳性星座、位于自己的星座或自己的度数的土星，从三分照着上升点，从四分照着〔此处原文有缺〕，月亮又落在低陷的宫位，就会生下娈宠。倘若月亮、金星、火星与土星落在阴性星座，即在从上升点算起低陷的宫位，或同在一处，或成四分，它们会造就公开的娈宠。但倘若这一切之中有一颗落得好，会造就暗中行这些恶习的人。

[22] If Venus and Saturn, placed in a feminine sign, are set in the 7th place from the Ascendant, while the Sun, Jupiter, the Moon, and Mars are placed in the cast-down places from the Ascendant, they make cinaedi without any doubt. But if, with all these placed as we have said, Jupiter alone has been placed in the first angles, they make cinaedi indeed, but placed in the greatest glory of honors, and men to whom the offices of royal duties are entrusted. But if, with all these placed as we have said, the Moon has been found in the first angles, it will make rich cinaedi.

〔二十二〕倘若落在阴性星座的金星与土星位于从上升点起的第七宫，而太阳、木星、月亮与火星落在从上升点算起低陷的宫位，它们无疑会造就娈宠。但倘若这一切如我们所说落定，唯独木星落在第一等之角，它们造就的固然是娈宠，却身居极大的荣耀，是被托付王家职务的人。但倘若这一切如我们所说落定，而月亮落在第一等之角，会造就富有的娈宠。

[23] Venus and Mars, placed in tropical signs, if they have aspected each other by a square or an opposite aspect, namely in feminine signs, make cinaedi, but such as are secretly entangled in these vices. But if, placed in a station, without the testimony of Jupiter, they have occupied these signs we have named, they make women harlots and prostitutes, and men public cinaedi.

〔二十三〕金星与火星落在回归星座，倘若以四分或对冲彼此相照，即在阴性星座，会造就娈宠，但却是暗中陷在这些恶习里的。但倘若它们处于留，没有木星的见证，占着我们所说的这些星座，会使女人成为淫妇与娼妓，使男人成为公开的娈宠。
