第十四章

On Those Who Kill Their Wives.

论杀死自己妻子的人

[1] If Venus is in a house of Mars or in the terms of that same Mars, and Mars, placed in a house of Venus or in the terms of that same Venus, aspects by an opposite aspect the Moon, full in light and placed in his signs or in his terms, husbands kill their wives with their own hands; if Mars is in the angles [lacuna] makes them perish by the sword. But if in a woman's nativity Mars, placed in his own house or in his own degrees, has been found in the Midheaven and has aspected Venus by an opposite aspect, husbands will perish slain by their wives; but they bring this about without the testimony of Jupiter.

〔一〕倘若金星在火星的庙里或在这同一颗火星的界里，而落在金星的庙里或在这同一颗金星的界里的火星，以对冲照着光满而落在它的星座或它的界里的月亮，丈夫会亲手杀死妻子；倘若火星在诸角〔此处原文有缺〕使她们死于刀剑。但倘若在女人的本命盘里，落在自己的庙里或自己的度数里的火星落在中天，又以对冲照着金星，丈夫会被妻子杀死；但它们是在没有木星见证时才造成这些的。

[2] If the place of the wife, partilely found, that is, by the method we showed in the preceding book, has been found in a sign of Jupiter, the man will be separated from all the allurements of lust. But if Jupiter himself has seen this same place placed in a sign of Jupiter, or if he has been found in that very place, the grace of chastity grows stronger still. But if it is in a house of Saturn, it will make them lustful. But if Saturn has seen this place, he renders men severe toward their wives.

〔二〕倘若精确求得的妻子之宫，即用我们在前一卷所示的方法求得的，落在木星的星座，这个男人会远离一切情欲的诱惑。但倘若木星本身看见这个落在木星星座的同一个位置，或者它就在那个位置上，贞洁的恩宠还会更加强烈。但倘若它在土星的一个庙里，就会使他们好色。但倘若土星看见这个位置，就使男人对妻子严厉。

[3] If it has been found in a sign of Mars, and Mars or Jupiter aspects this same place, or one of them is in the place itself and the other aspects it, it will make men always love their wives with faithful affection. But if this place has been found in a sign of Mercury, and Mercury sees the place itself or is placed there, it will make passive lovers; the Sun will make them regal, the Moon pleasing and lovable.

〔三〕倘若它落在火星的星座，而火星或木星照着这同一个位置，或者其中一颗就在这个位置上、另一颗照着它，会使男人总是以忠实的情意爱妻子。但倘若这个位置落在水星的星座，而水星看见这个位置本身或落在那里，会造就被动的爱者；太阳会使他们有王者气度，月亮会使他们讨人喜欢、可爱。

[4] If the Moon has been found with Mars in a house of Mars, and Saturn aspects them by a square or an opposite aspect, it will make men half-men, without a wife, without children, consumptive. If Jupiter has been found with Venus in the Descendant, men will willingly have intercourse with older women, and women with old men. But if they have been found so in the Ascendant, men will more willingly have intercourse with younger women, and women with young men.

〔四〕倘若月亮与火星同在火星的一个庙里，而土星以四分或对冲照着它们，会使人成为半男之人，没有妻子，没有子女，患肺痨。倘若木星与金星同在下降点，男人会乐意与比自己年长的女人交合，女人则与老人交合。但倘若它们这样落在上升点，男人会更乐意与比自己年轻的女人交合，女人则与少年交合。

On Lovers of Boys.

论爱恋少年的人

[1] Mercury and Mars, placed partilely in the Ascendant, make lovers of boys; yet they cause this lust to grow stronger if they have been placed in the houses of others. And also if Venus has been placed in a house of Mercury, while Mercury is badly placed in the nativity, they always drive men by a perverse love to lying with boys. But that it may be understood more clearly: when Venus is in a house of Mercury, namely if Mercury is in the lower Midheaven, or in the Descendant, or in the 8th place from the Ascendant, or in the 6th, or in the 12th, or in the succedent of the Ascendant, or in its falls, that is, in the places in which it is depressed, then it fulfills what we have said.

〔一〕水星与火星精确到度地落在上升点，会造就爱恋少年的人；不过倘若它们落在别的星的庙里，会使这种情欲更加强烈。又倘若金星落在水星的一个庙里，而水星在本命盘里落得不好，它们总以一种颠倒的爱驱使人与少年同寝。但为了让人理解得更清楚：当金星在水星的一个庙里时，即倘若水星在天底，或在下降点，或在从上升点起的第八宫，或第六宫，或第十二宫，或上升点的续宫，或在它的落即它所低落的位置，那时它就实现我们所说的事。

[2] If the place of the spouse, partilely computed, has fallen in a house of Mercury, while Mercury, placed in an angle, is in a masculine sign, it will make lovers of boys, but such as never desire intercourse with women, not even in longing. And also if Mars and Mercury have exchanged their domiciles, namely so that Mars is in the house of Mercury and Mercury in that of Mars, they will make lovers of boys, especially if, so placed, they have been situated in a place cast down from the Ascendant. They do this same thing also if they are together in a house of Mars.

〔二〕倘若精确求得的配偶之宫落在水星的一个庙里，而水星落在某个角，在阳性星座，就会造就爱恋少年的人，而且是那种从不想望与女人交合、连在渴望中也不想望的人。又倘若火星与水星互换了它们的庙，即火星在水星的庙、水星在火星的庙，它们会造就爱恋少年的人，尤其是倘若这样落定时，它们落在从上升点算起低陷的宫位。倘若它们同在火星的一个庙里，也会做这同一件事。

[3] And also if Mercury is in a house of Mars, and Mars aspects it by either a square or an opposite aspect, it renders them lovers of boys. Likewise Mars, if it is in a house of Mercury and Mercury aspects it by a square or an opposite aspect, decrees this vice of lust with similar power. And also if the Moon has been found in a house of Mercury or in the terms of Mercury, and Mercury in the house of the Moon, it will make lovers of boys.

〔三〕又倘若水星在火星的一个庙里，而火星以四分或对冲照着它，就使人成为爱恋少年的人。同样，火星倘若在水星的一个庙里，而水星以四分或对冲照着它，也以相似的力量判定这种情欲的恶习。又倘若月亮落在水星的一个庙里或水星的界里，而水星在月亮的庙里，会造就爱恋少年的人。

How You May Find How Many Wives a Man Marries.

怎样求出一个人娶几个妻子

[1] If Venus has been found in the Midheaven, and the Moon aspects her by a trine aspect, and she also has the testimonies of the other planets, it decrees one wife. But if she has been found in any other place, count from Venus herself up to the sign in which the place of the spouse is partilely found, and however many signs there are from Venus up to the sign of the spouse, that many wives are decreed. So too in feminine nativities you will find it concerning husbands. But let others approve this method; it is not approved by us.

〔一〕倘若金星落在中天，而月亮以三分照着她，她又有其他行星的见证，就判给一个妻子。但倘若她落在任何别的位置，就从金星本身数到精确求得的配偶之宫所在的那个星座，从金星到配偶的星座有多少个星座，就判给多少个妻子。在女人的本命盘里，关于丈夫你也会这样发现。但这个方法让别人去赞同吧；我们是不赞同的。

On Those Who Marry Public Prostitutes, or Who Commit Adultery with Such Women.

论娶公开的娼妓为妻的人，或与这类女人通奸的人

[2] If Venus has been found with Mars in the 6th place from the Ascendant, it will make both adulterous men and adulterous women. But if, placed in a house of Saturn, they are joined with Saturn himself in the same sign in partile association, namely in the 6th place from the Ascendant, in the nativity of women they make public prostitutes, but in the nativities of men this is decreed: that they either have prostitutes as wives, or are joined with public catamites by an impure desire of lust.

〔二〕倘若金星与火星同在从上升点起的第六宫，会造就通奸的男人与通奸的女人。但倘若它们落在土星的一个庙里，又在同一个星座以精确到度的结伴与土星本身相结，即在从上升点起的第六宫，在女人的本命盘里会造就公开的娼妓，在男人的本命盘里则判定这样的事：他们或者以娼妓为妻，或者以不洁的情欲与公开的娈宠交结。

How You May Find When a Man Obtains Marriage.

怎样求出一个人何时得到婚姻

[3] If you have found the place of the spouse partilely, and the lord of that sign has been found in the same sign, the marriage is decreed when the first years of that sign have been completed. But if the lord of the sign is so placed that it aspects the place of the spouse, that is, its own sign, by no aspect, and another planet is placed in that sign, then the marriage is decreed when the first times of that planet which has been found in the same sign, that is, in the place of the spouse, have been completed. But if no planet has been placed in that sign, a wife is decreed after the ascension of that sign.

〔三〕倘若你已精确地求出配偶之宫，而那个星座的主星就落在同一个星座，婚姻就判定在那个星座的最初几年满了之后。但倘若那个星座的主星这样落定，以致它不以任何相位照着配偶之宫即它自己的星座，而另有一颗行星落在那个星座，那么婚姻就判定在落在同一个星座即配偶之宫里的那颗行星的最初时段满了之后。但倘若没有行星落在那个星座，妻子就判定在那个星座的上升时间之后。

[4] But there is also another, subtler method, composed by a partile reckoning: compute the substance of all the planets, and make the whole number into one sum, and, beginning from the sign in which the place of the spouse has been found partilely, divide this same sum among the other signs, so that you give 30 degrees to every sign; and in whatever sign the last number has come, when Jupiter has come to that sign, then the marriage is decreed.

〔四〕但还有另一个更精细的方法，是以精确的计算组成的：计算一切行星的数量，把全部数目合成一个总和，从精确求得的配偶之宫所在的那个星座开始，把这同一个总和分给其余的星座，每个星座给三十度；最后的数来到哪个星座，当木星来到那个星座时，就判定婚姻。

[5] What I mean is this; for since it has been said somewhat obscurely, I will make this same thing known to you again more clearly. Count 19 for the Sun, 25 for the Moon, 30 for Saturn, 12 for Jupiter, 15 for Mars, 8 for Venus, 20 for Mercury; this whole computation makes 129. Beginning from the sign in which the place of the spouse has been found partilely, divide this whole number among all the following signs, and give 30 to each; and in whatever sign the last number has come, when Jupiter has come to this sign after its second circuit, then a stable marriage is decreed; for if anyone has obtained one before this, either he dissolves the marriage by divorce, or it is parted without fruit by some death, or at least up to this time they disagree in various quarrels.

〔五〕我所说的是这样；因为这说得有些晦涩，我再把这同一件事更清楚地告诉你。太阳算十九，月亮二十五，土星三十，木星十二，火星十五，金星八，水星二十；这全部的计算得一百二十九。从精确求得的配偶之宫所在的那个星座开始，把这整个数目分给后面的一切星座，每座给三十；最后的数来到哪个星座，当木星在它的第二周之后来到这个星座时，那时才判定稳定的婚姻；因为倘若有人在此之前得到婚姻，他或者以离婚解除婚姻，或者婚姻因某人之死而无果地分开，或者至少直到这个时候，他们在种种争吵中不和。

On Those Who Bury Their Wives.

论埋葬自己妻子的人

[1] If Mars, Venus, and Jupiter have been found in the Descendant, that is, in the 7th place from the Ascendant, and the lord of the sign in which they are placed has been found in the Midheaven, the husband destroys his wife. And also if Mars alone has been found in the Descendant, and Venus in the Midheaven, while the Moon is either in the Ascendant full in light or in the lower Midheaven, the wife will die killed by the hands of her husband.

〔一〕倘若火星、金星与木星落在下降点，即从上升点起的第七宫，而它们所在星座的主星落在中天，丈夫会毁掉妻子。又倘若只有火星落在下降点，金星在中天，而月亮或光满在上升点、或在天底，妻子会被丈夫亲手杀死。

[2] If in a man's nativity, with Jupiter and Mars placed in any place, the lords of the signs in which Mars and Jupiter are placed are also so placed that one is in the Descendant of the nativity and the other in the lower Midheaven, the death of the wife is likewise decreed. But if Venus has been found in the lower Midheaven, and Jupiter in the Descendant of the nativity, this same thing is prepared. But if, with Venus placed in the Descendant, the lord of the sign in which Venus is placed has been found in the lower Midheaven, this same thing is decreed.

〔二〕倘若在男人的本命盘里，木星与火星无论落在什么位置，而火星与木星所在星座的主星这样落定，以致一颗在本命的下降点、另一颗在天底，同样判定妻子之死。但倘若金星落在天底，而木星在本命的下降点，也预备了这同一件事。但倘若金星落在下降点时，金星所在星座的主星落在天底，也判定这同一件事。

[3] If Venus and Jupiter have been found in the 7th place from the Ascendant, while the lord of that sign is either in the lower Midheaven or placed together with them in the Descendant, the death of the wife is decreed. But if, with these so arranged, the Sun, Saturn, and Mars are placed either in the 6th or in the 8th place from the Ascendant, the wife will perish killed by the hands of her husband.

〔三〕倘若金星与木星落在从上升点起的第七宫，而那个星座的主星或在天底、或与它们同在下降点，就判定妻子之死。但倘若这些这样排列，而太阳、土星与火星落在从上升点起的第六宫或第八宫，妻子会被丈夫亲手杀死。
