MARS.

火星

[1] When the lordship of the decennium, that is, of 10 years and 9 months, has come to Mars, this whole time too is divided by it on the same principles. But in this case too, as with Saturn and Jupiter, you must examine everything on a like principle: sign, degree, condition, place, testimonies, so that you may be able to find everything by clear inquiries. When, then, Mars has become lord of the times, it retains 15 months of its decennium for itself. In these 15 months it decrees very great activities according to the substance of the nativity, but with greater turmoil, so that in these very activities, whatever they may be, various perils of dangers arise, especially if it is lord of the nativity, and if it is a day nativity.

〔一〕当十年期即十年又九个月的主权来到火星，这整个时期也由它以同样的道理分配。但在这里也像对土星和木星一样，你必须以相似的道理考察一切：星座、度数、状况、宫位、见证，好让你能以清楚的探究找出一切。所以，当火星成了时主，它为自己保留它十年期中的十五个月。在这十五个月里，它按本命的实质判定极大的活动，但带着较大的纷扰，以致在这些活动本身之中，无论是什么活动，都生出种种危险，尤其是倘若它是本命主星，又是白天的本命盘。

[2] If Mars has become lord of the times, it assigns 30 months out of its decennium to Saturn. When, then, Saturn has received the time assigned to it by Mars, it lays the sluggish weight of slowness on all dealings, so that all business is always dulled by slowness, and it makes the time ineffectual, sordid, squalid, and cut off from all activities.

〔二〕倘若火星成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给土星三十个月。所以，当土星接受了火星分给它的时期，它在一切交往上加上迟缓的沉重分量，以致一切事务总因迟缓而迟钝，它使这段时期无效、卑污、肮脏，与一切活动隔绝。

[3] If Mars has become lord of the times, it assigns 12 months out of its decennium to Jupiter. When, then, Jupiter has received the time assigned to it by Mars, it decrees all the advantages of prosperity, and will always make business be completed with a favorable outcome. It also bestows profits and all the duties of business, and renders rest to the toiling, health to the sick, security to the anxious, return to the wandering, an end to those at law, and abundance to those placed in straits.

〔三〕倘若火星成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给木星十二个月。所以，当木星接受了火星分给它的时期，它就判定顺遂的一切好处，总会使事务以顺遂的结局完成。它还赐予赢利与事务的一切职分，使劳苦的人得到休息，生病的人得到健康，忧虑的人得到安全，漂泊的人得以归来，打官司的人得到了结，困窘的人得到丰足。

[4] If Mars has become lord of the times, it assigns 19 months out of its decennium to the Sun. When, then, the Sun has received the time assigned to it by Mars, it decrees the greatest perils of dangers from constant calamity, and always throws the whole order of life into confusion by wretched change, and stirs up disturbances and contrives seditions, and decrees pains of the eyes with a very long continuance of illness. It also shakes the whole of life with the greatest dangers and the greatest onsets of losses, and the dangers will be unavoidable, unless the good testimony of Jupiter has withstood them all.

〔四〕倘若火星成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给太阳十九个月。所以，当太阳接受了火星分给它的时期，它就从不断的灾祸中判定危险的最大险境，总以悲惨的变化扰乱生活的整个次序，激起骚乱，谋划叛乱，判定眼睛的疼痛，疾病拖得很久。它还以最大的危险与最大的损失侵袭震动整个生活，这些危险是避不开的，除非木星良好的见证抵挡了这一切。

[5] If Mars has become lord of the times, it assigns 8 months out of its decennium to Venus. When, then, Venus has received the time assigned to it by Mars, it makes a favorable time indeed, and one separated from every peril of dangers, but in these very months a hidden infamy is always brought on from intercourse with many women [text uncertain]. But if in the nativity they were in square to each other, they then cause adulteries to be committed; but with the testimony of Jupiter they conceal this crime, with that of Mercury and the Sun they make it public, with wretched peril to life.

[6] If Mars has become lord of the times, it assigns 20 months out of its decennium to Mercury. When, then, Mercury has received the time assigned to it by Mars, it will cause dangers to be stirred up from certain writings, or it always inflicts a wretched loss through theft; but it will cause enemies to be scattered by frequent means. But if in the nativity they were joined to each other in square or in opposition, they impose the charge of sorcery or of counterfeit money, especially if Mercury is found in the terms or in the house of Saturn.

[7] If Mars has become lord of the times, it assigns 25 months out of its decennium to the Moon. When, then, the Moon has received the time assigned to it by Mars, it will always cause the greatest perils of dangers to be brought on, especially if the Moon is full in light. For then dangerous spans of time are decreed; then flights, then exiles, then wretched perils of dangers are stirred up; then custody or the public prison receives men; then fires, then fevers, then grave loss together with the wretched mutilation of the patrimony is decreed; then the onset of grave illnesses is always brought on. But if in the nativity they were in square or in opposition without the testimony of Jupiter, then without doubt they cause either a bloody or a lamentable or a sudden death.

〔七〕倘若火星成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给月亮二十五个月。所以，当月亮接受了火星分给它的时期，它总会带来危险的最大险境，尤其是倘若月亮光满。因为那时就判定危险的时段；那时激起逃亡，那时激起流放，那时激起悲惨的危险之险；那时羁押或公家的监狱接纳人；那时判定火灾，那时判定发热，那时判定沉重的损失，连同家产的悲惨削减；那时总带来重病的侵袭。但倘若它们在本命盘里成四分或对冲而没有木星的见证，那时它们无疑造成或流血的、或可悲的、或突然的死亡。

[8] But if in the nativity Saturn is found with the Moon, and the Moon has received from Mars the time assigned to it, then too the ends of a bitter death will be brought on from preceding dangers; and these dangers obtain their outcome according to the variations of the signs.

〔八〕但倘若在本命盘里土星被发现与月亮同在，而月亮从火星接受了分给它的时期，那时也会从先前的危险中带来苦涩死亡的结局；这些危险按星座的变化得到它们的结局。

THE SUN.

太阳

[1] If the Sun is lord of the times, that is, when the time of 10 years and 9 months has been assigned to it, you must examine in it too, on a like principle, everything we have stated in the others: mixtures, temperings, sign, place, degrees, so that from the comparison of all these you may find the whole order of the decrees. And this whole time too will be divided by it on very like principles. When, then, the Sun has become lord of the times, it keeps 19 months of its decennium for itself. In these 19 months, then, we must expect nothing favorable from it, but every kind of misfortune. But all these things are mitigated in some part in a day nativity, and are also lulled to sleep by the testimony of Jupiter, but are roused by that of Saturn and Mars, especially if it is badly placed in the nativity.

[2] If the Sun has become lord of the times, it assigns 30 months out of its decennium to Saturn. When, then, Saturn has received the time assigned to it by the Sun, in a night nativity it threatens a pestilent and deadly end, but in a day nativity it decrees increases of the greatest felicity, according to the substance of the nativity, especially if it is well placed in the decree.

〔二〕倘若太阳成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给土星三十个月。所以，当土星接受了太阳分给它的时期，在夜间的本命盘里它威胁一个瘟疫般致命的结局，但在白天的本命盘里，它按本命的实质判定最大幸福的增长，尤其是倘若它在判定中落位良好。

[3] If the Sun has become lord of the times, it assigns 12 months out of its decennium to Jupiter. When, then, Jupiter has received the time assigned to it by the Sun, it decrees the advantages of tranquil felicity with the greatest joy of life, so that, every trace of all evils wiped away, a favorable time of felicity in every respect receives him. Then losses are relieved, then health is restored, then they are freed from preceding perils.

〔三〕倘若太阳成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给木星十二个月。所以，当木星接受了太阳分给它的时期，它就判定安详幸福的好处与人生的最大喜乐，以致一切恶事的痕迹都被抹去，一个在各方面都顺遂的幸福时期接纳他。那时损失得到弥补，那时健康得到恢复，那时他们从先前的危险中被解脱。

[4] If the Sun has become lord of the times, it assigns 15 months out of its decennium to Mars. When, then, Mars has received the time assigned to it by the Sun, whether in a day or in a night nativity, the patrimony being scattered by wretched mutilations, it imposes the straits of extreme poverty; it also stirs up frequent conflicts of lawsuits, will also cause frequent pains of the eyes, imposes a grave peril of danger, and will shake the native with a constant succession of losses.

〔四〕倘若太阳成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给火星十五个月。所以，当火星接受了太阳分给它的时期，无论在白天还是夜间的本命盘里，家产都被悲惨的削减所散失，它加上极度贫穷的困窘；它还激起频繁的讼案冲突，也会造成频繁的眼痛，加上沉重的危险之险，以不断接续的损失震动本命之人。

[5] If the Sun has become lord of the times, it assigns 8 months out of its decennium to Venus. When, then, Venus has received the time assigned to it by the Sun, it decrees a favorable outcome in all business, but always inflames the wife's feelings with a certain malicious dissension, so that the hidden mind of the wife then both betrays and reveals itself; or, if there is then no wife, peril from a woman is imposed, and on this account it stirs up public lawsuits and enmities in the courts, disturbances also being roused, though moderate ones.

〔五〕倘若太阳成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给金星八个月。所以，当金星接受了太阳分给它的时期，它在一切事务上判定顺遂的结局，但总以某种恶意的不和激起妻子的情绪，以致妻子隐藏的心那时既出卖又暴露了自己；或者，倘若那时没有妻子，就加上来自女人的危险，并因此激起公开的讼案与法庭上的仇怨，也激起骚乱，但只是中等的骚乱。

[6] If the Sun has become lord of the times, it assigns 20 months out of its decennium to Mercury. When, then, Mercury has received the time assigned to it by the Sun, it decrees business, frequent activities, and constant advantages of profit, but these profits are brought with the greatest labors and with the greatest dangers.

〔六〕倘若太阳成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给水星二十个月。所以，当水星接受了太阳分给它的时期，它就判定事务、频繁的活动与持续的赢利好处，但这些赢利是带着最大的劳苦与最大的危险得来的。

[7] If the Sun has become lord of the times, it assigns 25 months out of its decennium to the Moon. When, then, the Moon has received the time assigned to it by the Sun, it always throws the whole life of the man into confusion with unstable variation, so that whatever has been conferred in that time is taken away again by stronger causes; and that time will be changeable through varied unevenness, so that straits are relieved by sudden riches, and the straits of poverty in turn follow upon riches.

〔七〕倘若太阳成了时主，它从它的十年期中分给月亮二十五个月。所以，当月亮接受了太阳分给它的时期，它总以不稳的变化扰乱人的整个生活，以致在那段时期里所授予的一切，又被更强的原因夺去；那段时期会因种种不均而多变，以致困窘被突然的财富解除，而财富之后又跟着贫穷的困窘。
