[38] If Venus is placed in Capricorn and strikes Saturn by an opposite aspect, it makes men whom their wives loathe in every way, and their bodies give off the dismal filth of a goatish smell, sweating out heavy humors. These men will also be accursed in intercourse [text uncertain], and always infamous for their venereal lusts, and such as desire the vicious couplings of promiscuous lust with an abandoned desire of mind. But Jupiter mitigates these things in some part if it has aspected Venus by a trine aspect, or, the rest remaining, it wipes away only the filth of the smell.

〔三十八〕倘若金星落在摩羯，以对冲的相位打击土星，它会造就被妻子百般嫌恶的人，他们的身体散发出公羊般气味的阴沉污浊，渗出沉重的体液。这些人在交合上也会被人诅咒〔原文疑有讹误〕，总因情欲之事而声名狼藉，以放纵的心意渴求混乱情欲的恶劣交合。但倘若木星以三分相照着金星，就在某种程度上缓和这些；或者其余的都保留，只抹去气味的污浊。

[39] If the Moon and Saturn and Venus are placed in the 7th place from the Ascendant, that is, in the Descendant, they will make cinaedi with the softness of an effeminate body, who always imitate the outcomes of old fables by dancing on the stage, especially if Mars, placed in the Midheaven, has aspected those we have described as so placed by a square aspect. Then it will make them impure and given to every vice of lustful shamefulness, and such as are always joined with their wives in impure or shameless intercourse. But if Jupiter, from the side of the lower Midheaven, has aspected all these, so placed, that is, in the Descendant, by a square aspect, it will make them, along with all these vices, lovers of boys as well.

〔三十九〕倘若月亮、土星与金星落在从上升点起的第七宫，即在下降点，它们会造就身体柔弱如女的娈宠，总在舞台上以舞蹈模仿古老传说的结局，尤其是倘若落在中天的火星以四分相照着我们所描述的这样落定的诸星。那时它会使他们不洁，耽于情欲之耻的一切恶习，总以不洁或无耻的交合与妻子相结。但倘若木星从天底那一边以四分相照着这一切这样落定、即落在下降点的诸星，它会使他们在这一切恶习之外，还成为爱少年的人。

[40] If Jupiter and Saturn and Venus, placed partilely in the Midheaven, are joined to one another in an equal association of degrees, and Mars, placed in the lower Midheaven, aspects all of them by an opposite aspect, they make lovers of boys, but such as pay for this vice of lust with the ruin of their own body.

〔四十〕倘若木星、土星与金星精确到度地落在中天，彼此以同等的度数结伴相结，而落在天底的火星以对冲的相位照着它们全部，它们会造就爱少年的人，但这些人以自己身体的毁坏为这情欲的恶习付出代价。

[41] If Jupiter and Venus and Saturn are placed together in the 7th place from the Ascendant, that is, in the Descendant, an inheritance will be conferred through the death of a wife. But these same men will be shaken by a grave and continuous illness, and the offspring of children is decreed for them with difficulty.

〔四十一〕倘若木星、金星与土星一同落在从上升点起的第七宫，即在下降点，就会因妻子之死而授予遗产。但这些人也会被沉重而不断的疾病所震撼，子女的后代也难得地判定给他们。

If Mercury is placed in the Midheaven and Venus and Saturn and Jupiter are placed with it, they decree foreign wives indeed, but wives rich in a great abundance of wealth.

[42] If Saturn is placed in the Ascendant, while Mercury and Jupiter are placed in the 7th place from the Ascendant, they deny children. But if this composition of the arrangement is reversed, that is, if Jupiter and Mercury are in the Ascendant, and Saturn, placed in the Descendant, aspects them by an opposite aspect, they decree this same thing on a like principle.

[43] If Mercury and Venus are placed together in the lower Midheaven, and Saturn, occupying the degree of the Midheaven, strikes these same planets by an opposite aspect, it decrees a woman of advanced age as wife. But the native himself also mingles with his wife in impure intercourse.

〔四十三〕倘若水星与金星一同落在天底，而占住中天度数的土星以对冲的相位打击这同样的两星，它就判定年纪老大的女人为妻。但本命之人自己也以不洁的交合与妻子相交。

If Venus is placed in the Midheaven, and Saturn is joined to it in the Midheaven in an equal association of degrees, while the Moon, placed in the lower Midheaven, aspects these same planets by an opposite aspect, it decrees wives who are either sterile or certainly of advanced age, so that from this union of marriage children are denied forever.

倘若金星落在中天，土星在中天以同等的度数结伴与它相结，而落在天底的月亮以对冲的相位照着这同样的两星，它就判定或是不育、或至少是年纪老大的妻子，以致从这一婚姻的结合中永远得不到子女。

[44] If Mercury is placed in the 5th place from the Ascendant, and Mars is joined with it in an equal association of degree, so placed they decree sisters as wives.

[45] If Saturn is placed in the Midheaven, and to it, so placed, comes the association of Jupiter and Mars in the same place, they cause every kind of sorrow to be brought about by wives, so that the joy of conjugal affection never shows itself to them.

〔四十五〕倘若土星落在中天，而木星与火星来到这样落定的它，在同一个宫位与它结伴，它们就使妻子带来种种悲伤，以致夫妻情分的喜乐永远不向他们显现。

[46] If Venus, placed in evening rising, is in the Descendant, that is, in the 7th place from the Ascendant, and, with Venus so placed, Saturn is placed in the degree of the Midheaven, it will make men languid toward Venus, and it will also make women always cold toward intercourse, their venereal desire lulled to sleep and all the substance of their lust extinguished.

〔四十六〕倘若在昏升之中的金星在下降点，即在从上升点起的第七宫，而金星这样落定时，土星落在中天的度数，它会使男人对情事倦怠，也会使女人在交合上总是冷淡，情欲被催眠，情欲的全部实质都熄灭了。

[47] If Mars and the Moon are joined in the Midheaven in an equal association of degree, and with them Venus, and [lacuna] Mercury, placed together, aspects them by an opposite aspect, this decree in a man's nativity will make public galli, while it renders women prostitutes stripped of every protection of chastity.

〔四十七〕倘若火星与月亮在中天以同等的度数结伴相结，金星与它们同在，而〔此处原文有缺〕水星一同落定，以对冲的相位照着它们，这一判定在男人的本命盘里会造就公开的加利祭司，而使女人成为失去贞洁一切保护的娼妓。

[48] If Saturn and Jupiter are placed together in the lower Midheaven, or if they are placed in the Descendant, that is, in the 7th place from the Ascendant, they impose a heavy weight of sorrow through the misfortunes of children. But if Mercury is found with them in the same places, and Venus, placed in the same place, is joined to them in an equal association of degree, they will make women sterile, and will separate males, stripped of manly desires, from all intercourse. But if they are placed in a tropical sign, as we have said, they make the natural parts of a woman's body sealed shut, with its entrance intact. But if Mars too is found with all these, they will make castrated galli who serve the ceremonies of sacred rites.

[49] If Mars and the Moon, found together, are placed in the Ascendant, and, with these so placed, Mercury has occupied the degree of the Midheaven, and Saturn, placed in the Descendant, aspects them by an opposite aspect and Mercury by a square aspect, they cause children, placed at a tender age and still wailing in the bosom of their nurses, to perish by very untimely mishaps.

〔四十九〕倘若火星与月亮一同被发现在上升点，而它们这样落定时，水星占住了中天的度数，落在下降点的土星又以对冲的相位照着它们、以四分相照着水星，它们就使子女在幼小的年纪、还在乳母怀中啼哭时，因极不合时的意外而夭亡。

[50] If Mercury is placed in the lower Midheaven, and Mars, Saturn, and Venus are joined to it in an equal association of degrees, so placed they cause children to perish before the eyes of their fathers by wretched and bitter necessities of death.

〔五十〕倘若水星落在天底，而火星、土星与金星以同等的度数结伴与它相结，这样落定的它们就使子女在父亲眼前，以悲惨苦涩的死亡之必然而夭亡。

[51] If Mars is found in the lower Midheaven, while Saturn is placed in the Descendant, and the Moon, placed in the Ascendant, is joined to Mars from a square and to Saturn by an opposite aspect, from this association a swift death is prepared for the wife.

〔五十一〕倘若火星被发现在天底，土星落在下降点，而落在上升点的月亮从四分与火星相结、以对冲的相位与土星相结，从这一结伴就为妻子准备了迅速的死亡。

[52] If Jupiter is found in the Descendant, that is, in the 7th place from the Ascendant, while Mars and Mercury are set together in the Ascendant in an equal association of degree, they will deny children. And if Mercury and Jupiter, placed in the angles, aspect one another by an opposite aspect, so that one is in the Ascendant and the other in the Descendant, or one in the Midheaven and the other in the lower Midheaven, they cause male children to perish by wretched atrocities of death. And if Mercury, placed in any angle, aspects Saturn, placed in the opposite angle, by an opposite aspect, from this too the offspring of children is denied.

[53] If the Ascendant is placed in tropical or in double signs, and Mars and Mercury are joined in the degree of the Ascendant in an equal association of degree, while Jupiter aspects the Ascendant and them by an opposite aspect, they make men either epileptic or else always insane with a perverted mind.

〔五十三〕倘若上升点落在回归星座或双体星座，而火星与水星在上升点的度数以同等的度数结伴相结，木星又以对冲的相位照着上升点和它们，它们会使人患癫痫，或者总以颠倒的心神而疯狂。

[54] If Venus is placed partilely in the Ascendant, and Saturn, placed in the lower Midheaven, is joined to Venus by a square aspect, they make men assigned to the service of temples, who, the order of their mind changed by the hidden prompting of the divinity and possessed by the power of a present religion, foretell the future to men who press upon them, so that from this way of life the increase of their daily livelihood may be sought [text uncertain].

[55] If the Ascendant is placed in Virgo, and in that same Ascendant Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, and Venus are placed, while Saturn, placed in Pisces, that is, in the Descendant, aspects all of these we have named by an opposite aspect, and the Sun, placed in the succedent of the Ascendant, occupies the sign of Libra, while the Moon is placed in Aquarius, and all are placed in their own terms, that is, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Mercury, and Venus, the decree of a most powerful emperor is shown by this nativity.

〔五十五〕倘若上升点落在处女，而在这同一个上升点里落着木星、火星、水星与金星，而落在双鱼即在下降点的土星以对冲的相位照着我们所提到的这一切，落在上升点续宫的太阳占住天秤座，月亮落在水瓶，而且一切都落在它们自己的界里，即木星、土星、火星、水星与金星，从这张本命盘就显示出一位最有权势的皇帝的判定。

[56] If Mars is placed in the Ascendant, and the Moon is either moving toward Mars or flowing away from it, lowliness of life, grave defects of health, bitter perils of dangers, and the onsets of wretched calamity are decreed from this association of conjunction. And if Mars is found in the Descendant, and the Moon flows away from it, they bring about these same things on a like principle.

〔五十六〕倘若火星落在上升点，而月亮或正趋向火星，或正从它离去，从这一合相的结伴中，生活的卑微、健康的重大缺损、危险的苦涩险境与悲惨灾祸的侵袭就被判定。倘若火星被发现在下降点，而月亮从它离去，它们也以相似的道理成就这同样的事。

[57] If the Sun is placed in Aries or in Scorpio, and the Ascendant is joined with it in an equal association of degrees, while Mars and Saturn and Jupiter, placed in suitable places of the nativity, have aspected one another by a trine aspect, they will make tyrants, cruel, terrible, effective, and they render them such as always rage with cruel ferocity in the slaughter of men and in the punishments of the wretched.

〔五十七〕倘若太阳落在白羊或天蝎，而上升点以同等的度数结伴与它相结，而落在本命合宜宫位的火星、土星与木星以三分相彼此相照，它们会造就暴君，残忍、可怕、有作为，并使他们总以残忍的凶暴在杀人与惩罚可怜人之中横行。

[58] If the Moon is found in the Ascendant, and either Saturn or Jupiter, placed in the Descendant, that is, in the seventh place from the Ascendant, aspects it by an opposite aspect, the conscience of him who has them so will be polluted by a hidden homicide. But if in the Descendant, that is, in the seventh place from the Ascendant, namely in a tropical sign, the Sun and Mars and Mercury are joined in an equal association of degrees, this association of the planets will make a murderous robber, always drenched in human blood and armed with every kind of cruelty. But if Saturn is found with them, it shows us the end of his death. For, caught in these crimes, by the stern sentence of one who punishes he is fastened to the gibbet and raised up on the cross.

[59] If Jupiter is in those degrees of Pisces in which Andromeda is placed, and Saturn receives the conjunction of the Moon as it comes, from this conjunction the greatest hardships of misfortune are decreed. But if Mars has aspected the Moon, placed as we have said, by an opposite aspect, it will make men, caught in wicked designs, raised up on the cross.

〔五十九〕倘若木星在双鱼里仙女座所在的那些度数，而土星接受前来的月亮的合相，从这一合相就判定不幸的最大艰辛。但倘若火星以对冲的相位照着如我们所说落定的月亮，它会使人因邪恶的图谋被捉，在十字架上被举起。

[60] If Venus is placed in Taurus, and holds those degrees of Taurus in which the Pleiades are placed, and the Moon is full in light, and Mercury and Mars are either joined with it in an equal association of degrees or, having become superior from the side of a square, aspect it with a threatening aspect, he who has them so will be captured by robbers and will perish, struck by the point of a threatening sword.

〔六十〕倘若金星落在金牛，占住金牛里昴星团所在的那些度数，月亮光满，而水星与火星或以同等的度数结伴与它相结，或从四分的一边居上位，以带威胁的相位照着它，这样拥有它们的人会被强盗捉住，被带威胁的剑锋刺中而死。

[61] And if Venus is found in Taurus with the Ascendant, and strikes the Moon, placed in the Midheaven and full in light, by a square aspect, it will bring about this same thing we have said on a like principle. And if the Ascendant is found in Taurus, and Mars, placed in Leo, aspects the Ascendant from the lower Midheaven with a threatening aspect, it will make the native perish by the sword. And if the Ascendant is found in Libra, and Mars, placed in Capricorn, that is, in the lower Midheaven, aspects the Ascendant from a square with a threatening aspect, in this way too it will make them perish, struck by the sword.

〔六十一〕倘若金星与上升点一同被发现在金牛，而以四分相打击落在中天、光满的月亮，它也以相似的道理成就我们所说的这同样的事。倘若上升点被发现在金牛，而落在狮子的火星从天底以带威胁的相位照着上升点，它会使本命之人死于剑下。倘若上升点被发现在天秤，而落在摩羯即天底的火星从四分以带威胁的相位照着上升点，这样也会使他们被剑刺中而死。

[62] But this must be known: that if, with the Ascendant placed in Aries or in Scorpio, Mars is found in the Descendant or in the Midheaven or in the lower Midheaven, with a slight testimony of the benefics, it decrees nothing evil, especially if it is a night nativity. For Mars always protects its own house, and never overthrows it when placed in the Descendant.

〔六十二〕但须知道这一点：倘若上升点落在白羊或天蝎，而火星被发现在下降点、中天或天底，有吉星些许的见证，它就不判定任何坏事，尤其是倘若这是夜间的本命盘。因为火星总保护它自己的庙，落在下降点时也从不推翻它。

[63] If the Ascendant is so placed in [probably: Cancer or Leo] [lacuna] that the domiciles of Saturn are placed in the Descendant, and Saturn itself is placed in the Midheaven, it will make men die of dropsy. But if these signs we have mentioned have the Ascendant, and Mercury is placed in the Midheaven, it will make men die by poison. But if, with these signs rising, Jupiter is found in the Midheaven, a sudden death is decreed amid cups and tables and amid the merry din of banqueters, from indigestion or from too much drinking. But if, with these signs we have mentioned rising, Mars and the Sun are placed in the Midheaven, they are either slain by the sword or burned up by the blaze of fire. But if, with these signs rising, the Moon is found in the Midheaven, it will make them perish, shaken by sacred diseases. But if [probably: with these signs we have mentioned rising,] [lacuna] Venus is found in the Midheaven, it will make them fulfill the duty of life either overwhelmed by vicious humors or drowned in torrential waters.

[64] If Mars and Mercury are placed together in the 8th place from the Ascendant, they will make wicked thieves, who desire the property of others with a depraved desire of mind, and who, possessed by an immoderate frenzy of mind and by the vice of avarice, always pursue the patrimonies of others with unjust cravings of desire.

〔六十四〕倘若火星与水星一同落在从上升点起的第八宫，它们会造就邪恶的窃贼，以心中邪曲的欲望贪图别人的财物，被心中无节制的狂乱与贪婪的恶习所占据，总以不义的欲望追逐别人的家产。

[65] If the Sun is found in the Ascendant, and the Moon is placed in the Descendant, while Saturn and Mars are placed together either with the Sun or with the Moon; or if one of the malefic planets is placed either with the Sun or with the Moon, and the other malefic planet holds one of the following angles, he who has them so will be exposed.

〔六十五〕倘若太阳被发现在上升点，月亮落在下降点，而土星与火星一同或与太阳、或与月亮同在；或者凶星之一或与太阳、或与月亮同在，而另一颗凶星占住后面的一个角，这样拥有它们的人会被遗弃。

[66] If Mars is placed [probably: in the Descendant (Aldine: in the Ascendant)] [lacuna], and Mercury, placed in the degree of the Midheaven, is joined to Mars by a square aspect, it will make public and malicious accusers. And if Mercury is found in the Descendant, and Mars, placed in the Midheaven, aspects Mercury by a square aspect, it will make robbers, but such as are frequently stained with human blood.

〔六十六〕倘若火星落在〔推测：下降点；Aldine 本作上升点〕〔此处原文有缺〕，而落在中天度数的水星以四分相与火星相结，它会造就公开而恶毒的告发者。倘若水星被发现在下降点，而落在中天的火星以四分相照着水星，它会造就强盗，而且是常常被人血染红的那种。

[67] If Mars is found in the Ascendant, and Saturn is placed in any succedent of an angle, while the Moon and Jupiter are placed together in a cast-down place, those who are born live only as long as it takes the Moon in its swift course to pass Jupiter. But if the Moon is joined with Jupiter by a faithful aspect, they live as long as it takes Saturn to pass the first angle it meets. But if the rays of the Moon are unstable, they live, as we have said, as many days as the Moon is found with Jupiter. But if, with Mars and Saturn placed as we said before, and Jupiter placed in a cast-down place, the Moon is placed in the principal angle, that is, in the degree of the Ascendant, they will make them short-lived, with an evil peril of death.

[68] But if Saturn is found in the Midheaven, and the Moon, placed in the lower Midheaven, is joined to Saturn by an opposite aspect, while Mars, placed either in the Descendant or in the Midheaven, aspects the Moon with a threatening aspect, occupying the same degrees as the Moon, as soon as the offspring has broken through the narrows of the womb, it is handed over to the death that meets it. And if the Sun is found in the Ascendant, and the Moon, placed in the Descendant, is joined to the Sun by an opposite aspect, and Mars or Saturn is placed with one of them, that is, either with the Sun or with the Moon, or, with one of them there, the other holds any other angle, he who is born will be exposed.

〔六十八〕但倘若土星被发现在中天，而落在天底的月亮以对冲的相位与土星相结，落在下降点或中天的火星又以带威胁的相位照着月亮，占住与月亮同样的度数，那么婴儿一冲破子宫的狭道，就被交给迎面而来的死亡。倘若太阳被发现在上升点，而落在下降点的月亮以对冲的相位与太阳相结，火星或土星与它们之一同在，即或与太阳、或与月亮同在，或者一颗凶星在那里与它们之一同在，另一颗占住任何别的角，出生的人就会被遗弃。

[69] If the Sun is found in the 6th place from the Ascendant, and Saturn, placed in the 12th place from the Ascendant, aspects the Sun by an opposite aspect, and the Moon and Mars too, joined with Saturn in the 12th place from the Ascendant in an equal association of degrees, likewise set themselves against the Sun by opposition, they make crippled paralytics, whose whole body, the framework of the sinews loosened, is disfigured, its strength broken and scattered.

〔六十九〕倘若太阳被发现在从上升点起的第六宫，而落在从上升点起第十二宫的土星以对冲的相位照着太阳，月亮与火星也在从上升点起的第十二宫以同等的度数结伴与土星相结，同样以对冲与太阳相对，它们就造就残废的瘫痪之人，他们全身筋络的架构松弛，力气断裂散失，整个身体都变了形。

[70] If Saturn and Mars and the Moon, placed together and joined in an equal association of degrees, are placed in the 11th place from the Ascendant, and Jupiter aspects them by a trine aspect, placed namely either in the Descendant or in the 3rd place from the Ascendant, while the Sun holds the Ascendant partilely, this nativity shows us a tyrant.

〔七十〕倘若土星、火星与月亮一同落定，以同等的度数结伴相结，落在从上升点起的第十一宫，而木星以三分相照着它们，即落在下降点或从上升点起的第三宫，太阳又精确到度地据有上升点，这张本命盘就向我们显示一个暴君。

[71] If Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Mars, placed in the 11th place from the Ascendant, are set together by an equal aspect, they make a man given to luxury, who is entangled in lavish expenditures and wanton desires.

〔七十一〕倘若水星、金星、土星与火星落在从上升点起的第十一宫，以同等的相位设在一起，它们就造就耽于奢靡的人，陷在挥霍的花费与放荡的欲望之中。

[72] If Mars and Mercury are placed together in the 5th place from the Ascendant, and Saturn, having become superior, aspects them by a square aspect, or, placed with them, is joined in an equal association of degrees, they will make forgers, or such as imitate the public money by the adulterous arts of coin-casting. But if, with these so placed, the Moon nods assent by some agreement, they will in later times make robbers and murderers [text uncertain]. But if Mars and Mercury hold the fifth place from the Ascendant, and the Moon, either waning, strikes Saturn, or else, full, strikes Mercury or Mars by an opposite aspect, they decree the end of a public death on the charge of forgery, so that, discovered in this crime, they are punished by the stern sentence of a judge.

〔七十二〕倘若火星与水星一同落在从上升点起的第五宫，而居上位的土星以四分相照着它们，或与它们同在而以同等的度数结伴相结，它们会造就伪造文书的人，或以铸钱的掺假技艺仿造公家钱币的人。但倘若它们这样落定时，月亮以某种相合点头应允，它们在以后会造就强盗与杀人者〔原文疑有讹误〕。但倘若火星与水星占住从上升点起的第五宫，而月亮或亏着打击土星，或满着以对冲的相位打击水星或火星，它们就因伪造之罪判定公开处死的结局，以致他们在这罪行中被发现，受法官严厉的判决惩处。
