But we have told you enough, Mavortius, our glory, of the decrees of famous men. Now let us return to the order of the work we have begun.

[1] If Saturn is placed in Libra, that is, in the terms of Jupiter and in its own exaltation, and the Ascendant is found in the same degree, while Venus, placed in Aries, aspects the Ascendant from the Descendant by an opposite aspect, and Mars and the Moon, joined in an equal association of degrees, are placed partilely in the Midheaven, while the Sun and Mercury, placed in Gemini, hold the ninth place from the Ascendant, and Jupiter, placed in Aquarius and making its station, has occupied the fifth place of the nativity, this nativity decrees the most powerful command of a kingdom, or decrees the insignia of a powerful rank.

〔一〕倘若土星落在天秤，即在木星的界里、在它自己的旺宫，而上升点也被发现在同一度；落在白羊的金星从下降点以对冲的相位照着上升点；火星与月亮以同等的度数结伴相结，精确到度地落在中天；落在双子的太阳与水星占住从上升点起的第九宫；而落在水瓶、正在留的木星占住了本命的第五宫，这张本命盘就判定王国最强大的统治权，或判定有力品级的徽章。

[2] If the Moon is found in the twelfth place from the Ascendant, that is, in the cacodaemon, and is in the sign which is called the triplicity of Saturn, that is, in Aquarius or in Gemini or in Libra, while the Sun, placed in the sixth place from the Ascendant, aspects the Moon by an opposite aspect, and they are joined in a like association of degrees, and Jupiter is placed in the eighth place of the nativity, the hardships of toilsome poverty and wretched beggary are decreed by this nativity.

〔二〕倘若月亮被发现在从上升点起的第十二宫，即在恶灵之宫，又在被称为土星三方的星座里，即在水瓶、双子或天秤；而落在从上升点起第六宫的太阳以对冲的相位照着月亮，两者以相似的度数结伴相结；木星又落在本命的第八宫，这张本命盘就判定劳苦贫穷与悲惨乞讨的艰辛。

[3] If the Moon and Mars are placed in the seventh place from the Ascendant, that is, in the Descendant, and are placed in the sign in which the triplicity of Mars is found, that is, either in Cancer or in Scorpio or in Pisces, while Jupiter is placed partilely in the Midheaven, and the Sun is joined to them by a trine aspect, this nativity will make an athlete, but one who, as victor in a sacred contest, carries off the famous insignia of crowns.

〔三〕倘若月亮与火星落在从上升点起的第七宫，即在下降点，又落在火星三方所在的星座里，即在巨蟹、天蝎或双鱼；而木星精确到度地落在中天，太阳以三分相与它们相结，这张本命盘会造就运动员，而且是在神圣竞赛中得胜、赢得冠冕的著名徽章的运动员。

[4] If Venus, placed in a feminine sign, is found in the Descendant of the nativity, and Mars is likewise found in a feminine sign, and the Sun and the Moon also occupy feminine signs, this nativity shows you a cinaedus.

〔四〕倘若落在阴性星座的金星被发现在本命的下降点，火星同样被发现在阴性星座，太阳与月亮也占住阴性星座，这张本命盘就向你显示一个娈宠。

[5] If Saturn and Mars are placed together in the degree of the Ascendant, and the sign is of the feminine gender, and Venus and Mercury, placed in the Descendant, hold a feminine sign; or if Mars and Saturn, placed partilely in the Midheaven, have a sign of the feminine gender, and Mercury and Venus, placed in the lower Midheaven, tread a sign of the feminine gender, this nativity will make public cinaedi, or certainly castrated galli. But if this is a woman's nativity, it will make her a public prostitute who puts her chastity up for sale.

〔五〕倘若土星与火星一同落在上升点的度数，而那个星座是阴性的，落在下降点的金星与水星也据有阴性星座；或者精确到度地落在中天的火星与土星有阴性的星座，而落在天底的水星与金星踏着阴性的星座，这张本命盘会造就公开的娈宠，或至少是被阉割的加利祭司。但倘若这是女人的本命盘，它会使她成为公开的娼妓，把自己的贞洁拿去出卖。

[6] If the Moon and Mars are placed together in the eighth place from the Ascendant, and Mercury, placed in opposition, aspects them by a partile aspect, this nativity will make robbers of immoderate and burning cruelty; but we find their crimes according to the variations of the planets. For if Mars and the Moon are placed in earthy signs, the native, set up as a highwayman in deserted places, will stain his robber's hand with a profusion of blood. But if they are placed in watery signs, they will make cattle rustlers, who always resist their pursuers with a threatening sword. Placed in solid signs, they will make notorious housebreakers, but such as, armed with a sword, inflict on sleeping men both the loss of their patrimony and the peril of their lives.

But all these, caught in these crimes, are punished by the severity of public justice. But if Mars and Mercury are placed together in the lower Midheaven or in the Descendant, while the Moon is either in opposition to them or in square, or with them, full in light, they decree these same things that we have stated, on a like principle.

但这一切人在这些罪行中被捉住，都受公众惩处的严厉刑罚。但倘若火星与水星一同落在天底或下降点，而月亮或在它们的对冲，或在四分，或与它们同在而光满，它们就以相似的道理判定我们所说的这同样的事。

[7] If Saturn and Venus are placed in the Descendant of the nativity, while Mars is placed in the eighth place from the Ascendant, and Mercury is either with Mars or with Saturn and Venus, and Jupiter does not meet any of them with a favorable aspect, this nativity will make either slaves or galli, but such as endure all the vices of shameless impurity.

〔七〕倘若土星与金星落在本命的下降点，火星落在从上升点起的第八宫，而水星或与火星同在，或与土星和金星同在，木星又不以顺遂的相位与它们中任何一颗相遇，这张本命盘会造就奴隶或加利祭司，而且是忍受无耻不洁之一切恶习的那种。

[8] If Mars is found in the degree of the Ascendant, and Venus is placed partilely in the Descendant, while the star of Saturn occupies the degree of the Midheaven, and the Moon is placed in the lower Midheaven, this nativity will make an impure man.

〔八〕倘若火星被发现在上升点的度数，金星精确到度地落在下降点，土星之星占住中天的度数，而月亮落在天底，这张本命盘会造就不洁之人。

[9] If Mars is found in the Midheaven, that is, in a feminine sign, and Saturn and Venus are placed in the 11th place from the Ascendant, while the Ascendant is placed in a sign of Venus with Jupiter and the Moon and Mercury, those who have these planets so corrupt either their mothers or their stepmothers or their mothers' sisters with the incestuous desire of lust.

〔九〕倘若火星被发现在中天，即在阴性星座，土星与金星落在从上升点起的第十一宫，而上升点落在金星的星座，与木星、月亮和水星同在，这样拥有这些星的人，以乱伦的情欲玷污自己的母亲、继母或母亲的姊妹。

[10] Venus placed with Saturn in the Ascendant, in whatever sign and in whatever degrees it is placed, decrees, by the license of the nativity's power, either public prostitutes or wives of advanced age, especially if Jupiter aspects them by no aspect [text uncertain].

〔十〕与土星一同落在上升点的金星，无论落在什么星座、什么度数，都凭本命之力的放手之权，判定公开的娼妓或年纪老大的妻子，尤其是倘若木星不以任何相位照着它们〔原文疑有讹误〕。

[11] If Jupiter and Mars are placed together partilely in the Midheaven, they make men adorned with the renown of goodness, on whom the insignia of blessed felicity are always conferred, especially if this conjunction is in the house of Jupiter or in the terms of Jupiter.

〔十一〕倘若木星与火星一同精确到度地落在中天，它们会造就以善良的名声为饰的人，幸福安乐的徽章总授给他们，尤其是倘若这一合相落在木星的庙里或木星的界里。

[12] If Mars is in the Midheaven, or is placed in the house of the Moon, and in that place Jupiter is placed together with Venus and Mars, and the Moon, full in light, is moving toward Jupiter, this association decrees the insignia of the greatest felicity.

〔十二〕倘若火星在中天，或落在月亮的庙里，而在那个宫位木星与金星和火星一同落定，光满的月亮又正趋向木星，这一结伴就判定最大幸福的徽章。

[13] If Mercury, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and the Moon as well stand together in the Midheaven, joined in an equal association of degrees, they impose want and the burden of wretched poverty, and they make these same men doorkeepers, driven to this servitude by the necessity of beggary; but they also show the deaths of children through frequent calamities of misfortune.

〔十三〕倘若水星、土星、火星、金星，还有月亮，以同等的度数结伴相结，一同立在中天，它们就加上匮乏与悲惨贫穷的重担，使这些人成为看门人，被乞讨的必然驱入这种奴役；它们还以不幸的频繁灾祸显示子女的死亡。

[14] If Mars and Venus are placed together in the fifth place from the Ascendant, and the Moon is placed partilely in the Ascendant, the insignia of bright nobility are decreed, and the faithful love of kings is decreed by this association. But these men are allotted wives known for adulteries. There are also decreed for them, for the adornment of honor, purple-bordered togas and golden garments and the insignia of golden crowns.

〔十四〕倘若火星与金星一同落在从上升点起的第五宫，而月亮精确到度地落在上升点，就判定明亮高贵的徽章，这一结伴还判定君王忠实的宠爱。但这些人分得以通奸出名的妻子。为了荣誉的装饰，还给他们判定紫边的长袍、金色的衣裳与金冠的徽章。

[15] If the Ascendant is found in the sign of a malefic planet, and that malefic planet itself is placed in the 12th place from the Ascendant, it will make men torn apart by the bites of dogs. But if the 12th place from the Ascendant is placed in the sign of a malefic planet, and that malefic planet itself (whose domicile, we said, is the 12th place) is placed in the 7th place from the Ascendant, that is, in the Descendant, it imposes this same peril of death, unless the good testimony of Jupiter and of Venus alike has softened the lamentable end of death and the fearful perils of grave misfortunes by the saving protection of their divine powers.

[16] If the Moon and the Sun are placed together in the triplicity of Mars, that is, either in Cancer or in Scorpio or in Pisces, and Mars itself is found either in the Midheaven or in the Descendant, the hardships of constant travel abroad are decreed, and, placed in foreign regions and in strange places, they complete the last day of their life.

〔十六〕倘若月亮与太阳一同落在火星的三方，即在巨蟹、天蝎或双鱼，而火星本身被发现在中天或下降点，就判定不断远游异乡的艰辛，他们落在异国他乡、陌生之地，在那里度过生命的最后一天。

[17] If Mars is found together with the Ascendant in its own triplicity, that is, either in Cancer or in Scorpio or in Pisces, and, with Mars in the Ascendant, Venus is placed with Mercury in the Descendant, and they are joined to Mars in an equal association of degrees, those who have these planets so prove to be the wicked murderers of their wives.

〔十七〕倘若火星与上升点一同被发现在它自己的三方，即在巨蟹、天蝎或双鱼，而火星在上升点时，金星与水星一同落在下降点，以同等的度数结伴与火星相结，这样拥有这些星的人，会成为谋杀自己妻子的恶人。

[18] If the Ascendant is found in a sign of Venus, and Venus is placed partilely in that same Ascendant, while Mars and the Moon are placed together in the Descendant in a sign of Mars, that is, in the terms of Mars, the mother of that native will die struck by the sword.

〔十八〕倘若上升点被发现在金星的星座，金星精确到度地落在这同一个上升点，而火星与月亮一同落在下降点、在火星的星座里，即在火星的界里，那个本命之人的母亲会被剑击中而死。

[19] If the Moon is found in the Midheaven, and Saturn and Mars and Jupiter are placed together in the lower Midheaven, he who has them so will be dragged away from his ancestral home and will receive the heavy yoke of captivity.

[20] If the Moon is found in the Midheaven, and Mars and Saturn, placed with it, are joined in an equal association of degrees, they will make either go-betweens or servants of shameful lusts, so that [lacuna] the supports of life are procured for them by gain.

[21] If Saturn is found in the 6th place from the Ascendant, and Venus and Mercury are placed in the 12th place from the Ascendant, and all of these, striking one another by an opposite aspect, are joined in an equal association of degrees, they bring their own daughters, with the incestuous heat of desire, into the union of the marriage bed. And if Venus and Mercury and Jupiter have exchanged their domiciles, they decree this same thing on a like principle.

〔二十一〕倘若土星被发现在从上升点起的第六宫，金星与水星落在从上升点起的第十二宫，所有这些星以对冲的相位彼此打击，以同等的度数结伴相结，它们就以乱伦的欲望热度，把自己的女儿带进婚床的结合。倘若金星、水星与木星互换了它们的庙，它们也以相似的道理判定这同样的事。

[22] If Venus and Mercury and Jupiter and Saturn are placed together partilely in the 11th place from the Ascendant, and all are joined in an equal association of degrees, so placed they decree as wives the maidservants of the most powerful men.

〔二十二〕倘若金星、水星、木星与土星一同精确到度地落在从上升点起的第十一宫，全都以同等的度数结伴相结，这样落定的它们就判定以最有权势之人的婢女为妻。

[23] If Saturn and Venus are placed partilely in the Midheaven, and Jupiter aspects them by no aspect, and this is a woman's nativity, she lies with eunuchs or with sterile men in a fruitless desire of lust.

[24] If Venus and Jupiter are placed together in the 5th place from the Ascendant or in the 11th, and no benefic planet aspects them from any side, they decree difficult marriages or grave enmities arising from marriage, so that, always entangled in bitter dissensions, they carry on quarrels of spiteful enmity among themselves.

〔二十四〕倘若金星与木星一同落在从上升点起的第五宫或第十一宫，而没有吉星从任何一方照着它们，它们就判定难合的婚姻，或由婚姻而起的深重仇怨，以致总陷在苦涩的纷争之中，彼此进行怀恨的争吵。

[25] If Mars and the Ascendant are joined in an equal association of degrees, and are placed in the house of Jupiter, and Saturn aspects Mars and the Ascendant by a trine aspect, and the Moon is placed in the last degrees of the Ascendant, those who have these planets so lie either with their mother or certainly with their stepmother. But if this is a woman's nativity, she lies with her father or with her stepfather in the incestuous desire of lust; and this woman will nonetheless be unable to restrain herself in every lust, through the vice of prostituted chastity. But if Saturn is found in the 5th place from the Ascendant, and Mercury is with Venus in the 11th place from the Ascendant, they decree marriages with stepdaughters out of wicked desire.

[26] If Saturn is found in any angle, and aspects Mercury, placed in opposition, with a threatening aspect, the offspring of children is denied by this aspect.

[27] If, with the Sun placed in the Ascendant, Mars is found with Saturn in the succedent of the Ascendant, some defect is inflicted on the right eye. But if the Moon is placed in the Ascendant, and Mars and Saturn are found in the succedent of the Ascendant, the left eye will receive this same defect, but this in a night nativity. But if the Moon is found in the Midheaven, and the Sun is placed in the Ascendant, while Saturn holds the 9th place from the Ascendant, and Mars is placed in the 11th place from the Ascendant, that is, [probably: the decree for this configuration followed; it is lost in all manuscripts] [lacuna]

[28] and aspects the Moon, placed in the 6th place from the Ascendant, by an opposite aspect, while Saturn and the Sun, joined in a partile association, are placed in the 8th place from the Ascendant, they inflict the wretched end of blindness. And if the Moon is found in the lower Midheaven, and Saturn and the Sun and Mars, placed in the 8th place from the Ascendant, aspect the Moon by a trine aspect, they decree blindness and weakness of body together with wretched beggary. And if Saturn is found in the 12th place from the Ascendant, and the Sun and the Moon and Mars, placed together, aspect Saturn by a trine aspect, they also decree blindness by this association.

[29] And if the Sun and Mars are placed in the 8th place from the Ascendant, and opposite them the Moon, placed in a human sign, is found with Saturn, this aspect too decrees blindness together with infirmity of body. And if Saturn is placed in the Descendant, and Mars in the Ascendant, while the Sun is placed in the succedent of the Ascendant, and the Moon is placed in the 6th place from the Ascendant, in the course of time blindness through the illness of cataract [probably: nothing is lost — the first phrase is a doublet of what follows] [lacuna] they bring blindness through the defect of cataract. And if the Moon is placed in the Ascendant, and the Sun is placed in the 7th place from the Ascendant, that is, in the Descendant, the greatest defect is brought upon the eyes.

[30] If Mars is found in the Midheaven, and Saturn is placed in the 11th place from the Ascendant, while the Sun is in the succedent of the Ascendant and aspects the Moon, placed in the 8th place from the Ascendant, by an opposite aspect, one eye is put out and the light of the other eye is preserved.

〔三十〕倘若火星被发现在中天，土星落在从上升点起的第十一宫，而太阳在上升点的续宫，以对冲的相位照着落在从上升点起第八宫的月亮，一只眼被毁掉，另一只眼的光得以保全。

[31] If Mercury and the Moon are placed together, and are joined in an equal association of degrees, and have Mars and Venus placed on the left side of the square, they either deform the body with a pointed head, or disfigure the sight of the eyes with a crooked arrangement of the pupils, or will make the neck bent to one side.

〔三十一〕倘若水星与月亮一同落定，以同等的度数结伴相结，而在四分的左边有火星与金星，它们或以尖头使身体变形，或以瞳仁歪斜的排列损坏眼睛的视力，或使脖子歪向一边。

[32] If the Sun is found in the Ascendant, and Saturn is placed in the lower Midheaven, and the Moon occupies the right trine from the Ascendant, this association of conjunction too inflicts the danger of blindness. And if Saturn and the Moon are placed together in a tropical sign, and Mars and the Sun are placed together opposite them, from this conjunction too danger is always brought upon the eyes. But if, with these so placed, Jupiter is found in the Midheaven, it relieves all the hardships of poverty.

[33] And if Saturn and the Moon are found in the Midheaven, and the Sun and Mars are placed in the 8th place from the Ascendant, in this way too the misery of blindness is decreed. And if the Sun is found in the Ascendant, and Saturn is placed in the succedent of the Ascendant, while, with the Moon placed in the Midheaven, Mars is found in the 11th place from the Ascendant, in this way too the misery of blindness is decreed. And if the Sun is found in the Ascendant, and Saturn is placed in the succedent of the Ascendant, while, with the Moon placed in the Midheaven, Mars is found in the 11th place from the Ascendant, in this way too wretched blindness is decreed.

[34] If the Sun and the Moon are joined by a synodic aspect in a tropical sign, and the Moon is deprived of all the splendor of its light, and Mercury with them [lacuna], they decree the greatest wisdom, an outstanding intellect, and the knowledge of many things, together with blindness of the eyes and weakness of the body.

〔三十四〕倘若太阳与月亮在回归星座以会合的相位相结，月亮失去它光的一切光彩，而水星与它们同在〔此处原文有缺〕，它们就判定最大的智慧、出众的才智与许多事物的知识，同时也判定眼睛失明与身体虚弱。

[35] If the Moon and Saturn and Mars are placed together in the equinoctial signs, they stain the whole body with certain marks, or disfigure it with white mottlings, or else a softly creeping impetigo will take hold of the bodies of men, or the form of the body, roughened by the falling of small scales, is changed, or a long-lasting scab will shake the man, or else they decree leprosy with its unsightly appearance.

[36] If Mercury and Saturn and the Sun are placed together in the 7th place from the Ascendant, that is, in the Descendant, and in the 8th place from the Ascendant the Moon is joined with Mars in an equal association of degree, they either render men lame, or crippled by the amputation of their hands, or else they make them insane, suffering from the defect of a falling mind.
