Jupiter and Mars Together.

木星与火星同在

[1] If Jupiter and Mars have been placed together, and, placed together in the same sign, are joined with an equal power of association, they decree the greatest insignia of rank and confer the greatest power of license. For they make men who govern the offices of great cities or of great regions, and who hold the powers of glorious license over very great peoples.

〔一〕倘若木星与火星一同落定，在同一个星座里一同落定，以同等的结伴之力相结，它们就判定品级的最大徽章，授予放手之权的最大权力。因为它们造就治理大城市或大地区职务的人，在极大的民族中握有荣耀的放手之权的权力。

[2] They will also be such as to obtain everything they desire with a prosperous outcome, especially if they are placed in suitable places of the nativity, or have been placed together in the principal angles, or in the fifth or the eleventh place from the Ascendant, in the house of Jupiter or in the house of Mars. For then the fasces, then arms, then the greatest armies are entrusted to them; then, placed in great honors, they obtain the license of magnificent power.

〔二〕他们还会以顺遂的结局得到所想望的一切，尤其是倘若它们落在本命合宜的宫位，或一同落在首要之角，或在从上升点起的第五宫或第十一宫，在木星的庙或火星的庙里。因为那时，束棒、兵器与最大的军队都托付给他们；那时，他们身居大尊荣，得到宏大权力的放手之权。

Jupiter and the Sun Together.

[3] If Jupiter and the Sun have been placed together in the same sign, and Jupiter is hidden by the rays of the Sun, it diminishes every course of good fortune with various falls. But if Jupiter, freed from the rays of the Sun and placed in morning rising, is coupled with the Sun in the lodging of the same sign, it decrees fate, substance, life, and the fruits of these good fortunes, together with the greatest power of honor; and the natives will seem to have been begotten for the good of their parents, so that from the day of their birth all the insignia of good fortune are conferred on their parents. And those who have Jupiter and the Sun so will themselves rejoice in the offspring they take up, being happy.

〔三〕倘若木星与太阳一同落在同一个星座里，而木星被太阳的光线遮住，它就以种种跌落减损好运的每一条进程。但倘若木星脱离了太阳的光线，落在晨升之中，在同一个星座的寓所里与太阳相配，它就判定命运、实质、生命与这些好运的果实，并伴有尊荣的最大权力；本命之人看来像是为父母的好处而生的，以致从他们出生之日起，好运的一切徽章都授予他们的父母。这样拥有木星与太阳的人，自己也会因所得的子女而欢喜，是幸福的。

Jupiter and Venus Together.

[4] If Jupiter and Venus have been placed together in the same degree or in the same sign, they decree the insignia of honor together with the greatest grace of beauty, and they always associate the natives with the faithful friendships of good and great men. They also make them always adorned with an honorable way of life and character, keeping with unimpaired good faith the laws of all religious observances. Those who have Jupiter so with Venus will also be resplendent with a clean and honorable beauty, always joined to judges and kings by an amiable bond of affection. The testimony of good repute always commends them to every glory, and both the insignia of honor and the greatest protection of resources are conferred on them by the most powerful women.

〔四〕倘若木星与金星一同落在同一度或同一个星座里，它们就判定尊荣的徽章，并伴有美貌的最大魅力，总使本命之人与良善而伟大的人结成忠实的友谊。它们还使他们总以体面的生活方式与品格为饰，以不受损的信义守护一切宗教仪礼的律法。这样拥有木星与金星的人，还会以洁净而体面的美貌而光彩照人，总以亲切的情谊纽带与法官和君王相结。好名声的见证总把他们引荐给每一种荣耀，尊荣的徽章与资财的最大护佑，都由最有权势的女人授予他们。

[5] Those who have Venus and Jupiter so also obtain a happy and prosperous marriage. They will also have children, if the ray of the malefic planets has not assailed them. But they are drawn to the endeavors of Venus by a ready desire of mind, quite often shifting their desire through various unions. Jupiter and Venus placed together decree these same things on an equal principle in the nativities of women. But if, while Jupiter and Venus are placed together in solid places of the nativity and regard the Moon in equal associations of aspect, Mars has aspected them from some place with a threatening aspect, they will be struck by frequent rumor and grave reproach of infamy on account of their relatives by marriage.

〔五〕这样拥有金星与木星的人，还得到幸福顺遂的婚姻。倘若凶星的光线没有攻击他们，他们也会有子女。但他们以心中易动的欲望被引向金星之事，常常在种种结合之间转移他们的欲望。一同落定的木星与金星，在女人的本命盘里也以同等的道理判定同样的事。但倘若木星与金星一同落在本命的固定宫位，以同等的相位结伴看着月亮，而火星从某个宫位以带威胁的相位照着它们，他们就会因姻亲而受到频繁的传言与严重的污名指责。

The Conjunction of Jupiter and Mercury.

[6] If Jupiter and Mercury have been placed together, they will make men powerful, putting forth good counsels and good [lacuna], resplendent with the splendor of magnificent speech, adorned with all wisdom and steeped in the teachings of all learning, and they make them such that all look up to them with a certain admiration. For these men, steeped in the disciplines of the art of oratory, practice the eloquence of learned and glorious speech with the greatest ease of abundance. Others, adorned with the grace of intellect and the license of learned speech, this conjunction will cause to handle with the greatest honor the offices of the royal secretariat.

〔六〕倘若木星与水星一同落定，它们会使人有权势，提出好的谋划与好的〔此处原文有缺〕，以宏大言辞的光彩而光彩照人，以一切智慧为饰，浸润于一切学问的教导之中；它们使他们成为众人都以某种钦佩仰望的人。因为这些人浸润于演说术的训练，以最大的充沛自如施展有学问而荣耀的言辞的雄辩。另一些人，以才智的魅力与有学问言辞的放手之权为饰，这一相结会使之以最大的尊荣办理王家文书的职务。

The Conjunction of Jupiter and the Moon.

[7] If Jupiter and the Moon, placed together in the same sign, are joined with an equal power of association, they decree growth of life and patrimony and increases of the greatest good fortune, especially if the Moon has joined itself partilely to Jupiter in the same sign. For then a boundless heap of riches comes to the native, and they decree for him such insignia of good fortune that he turns out boundlessly better than his parents in every respect. But if the nativity is a night nativity, and the Moon has occupied more degrees while Jupiter lies behind in a lesser number of degrees, it always weakens and diminishes the whole substance of fortune with the greatest abasement.

〔七〕倘若木星与月亮一同落在同一个星座里，以同等的结伴之力相结，它们就判定生命与祖产的增益，以及最大好运的增长，尤其是倘若月亮在同一个星座里精确到度地与木星相结。因为那时无限的财富堆积来到本命之人那里，它们为他判定这样的好运徽章，以致他在各方面都无限地胜过父母。但倘若本命盘是夜间的，而月亮占的度数多、木星落后在较少的度数里，它就总以最大的低落削弱并减损命运的全部实质。

The Conjunction of Mars and the Sun.

火星与太阳的合相

[1] If Mars and the Sun, placed together in the same sign, are joined with an equal power of association, from this association they prepare for the father either a swift or at least an evil end. But if, placed together, they have occupied some angle of the nativity, or are in some succedent of an angle, then they decree the ruin of the father's calamity [lacuna] in unbroken succession, and they also squander the resources of the father's substance by wretched ruin. They will harm the eyes of others, or inflict wounds from iron and fire. They also throw into confusion the right ordering of their plans, the steadiness of the mind having been changed.

〔一〕倘若火星与太阳一同落在同一个星座里，以同等的结伴之力相结，它们就从这一结伴中为父亲准备迅速的、或至少不好的结局。但倘若它们一同占住本命的某个角，或在某个角的续宫里，那时它们就以不断的接续判定父亲灾祸的毁灭〔此处原文有缺〕，还以悲惨的毁坏散尽父亲资财的财力。它们会伤害另一些人的眼睛，或加上铁器与火造成的伤。它们还在心的稳定被改变之后，扰乱他们谋划的正当次序。

The Conjunction of Mars and Venus.

[2] If Mars and Venus, placed together in the same sign, are joined with an equal power of association, this conjunction of Mars and Venus will make seducers and adulterers, so that, possessed by a depraved ardor of desire and roused by the goads of untamed lust, they pursue the rights of another's marriage with captious promises for the sake of committing debauchery.

〔二〕倘若火星与金星一同落在同一个星座里，以同等的结伴之力相结，火星与金星的这一相结会造就引诱者与奸夫，以致他们被欲望的邪恶热度所占据，被未驯服的情欲的刺棒所激，以吹毛求疵的许诺为行淫而追逐别人的婚姻之权。

[3] But if Mercury has been found with them, or has aspected them by a square aspect, from this aspect they decree outcries, accusations, and lawsuits on account of these crimes, and also seditions, tumults, and inextricable marks of public talk. But if Jupiter, placed in suitable places and set in its own signs or in its exaltations, has aspected them, so placed, with a saving aspect, they are freed from these charges by the protection of some power.

〔三〕但倘若水星被发现与它们同在，或以四分相照着它们，从这一相位它们就因这些罪行判定喧嚷、控告与讼案，还有骚乱、扰攘与公众议论无法摆脱的印记。但倘若木星落在合宜的宫位，在自己的星座或入旺之处，以救护的相位照着这样落定的它们，它们就借某种权力的护佑从这些罪名中被解救出来。

[4] But if, without the testimony of Jupiter, Mars, placed together with Venus and Mercury, has occupied some angle of the nativity, or in the other places of the nativity has received the light of the waxing Moon, or if, with these so placed, Saturn has received the light of the waning Moon, they are punished by public punishment on a charge of adultery, debauchery, or incest. But if Mars and Venus have been placed together in tropical signs, those things which we showed they do when in square in tropical signs they will bring about alike when placed together in tropical signs.

〔四〕但倘若没有木星的见证，火星与金星、水星一同落定而占住本命的某个角，或在本命的其他宫位接受了盈月之光，或者在它们这样落定时土星接受了亏月之光，他们就因通奸、淫乱或乱伦的罪名受到公开的惩处。但倘若火星与金星一同落在回归星座里，我们显示过它们在回归星座成四分时所做的那些事，它们一同落在回归星座里也会同样造成。

The Conjunction of Mars and Mercury.

[5] If Mars and Mercury, placed together in the same sign, are joined with an equal power of association, this conjunction will make men sensible indeed and learned in the studies of the greatest disciplines, but liars, and equipped with every malice, so that they exercise their intellect in every kind of fraud, and in all contests always wish to contend with malicious evasion.

〔五〕倘若火星与水星一同落在同一个星座里，以同等的结伴之力相结，这一相结会使人确实明理，在最大学问的钻研上有学识，却说谎，具备一切恶意，以致他们把才智用在各种欺诈上，在一切争讼中总想以恶意的推诿相争。

[6] But if Jupiter has aspected this association with a suitable aspect, they decree glorious contests of athletic training. But if Venus has aspected all of these by any aspect, it drives the natives with a depraved desire of mind to the love of boys. But if the ray of Saturn has come to all of these, those whom we have mentioned will be struck with grave infamy.

〔六〕但倘若木星以合宜的相位照着这一结伴，它们就判定竞技训练中荣耀的比赛。但倘若金星以任何相位照着这一切，它就以心中邪恶的欲望驱使本命之人去爱恋少年。但倘若土星的光线来到这一切，我们所说的这些人就会受到严重污名的打击。

[7] But if the Sun has hidden Mars and Mercury, placed together, with its neighboring orb, and all are in some angle of the nativity, that is, Mars, Mercury, and the Sun, placed together, aspect the Moon placed in some angle of the nativity, they will make men armed with a criminal desire of mind, always bent on every misdeed, and all of whose sayings false speech always stains. They will also be such that their criminal contrivances are comparable to the crimes of brigands. These men turn the trustworthiness of writings at their own will by the false alteration of letters.

〔七〕但倘若太阳以它邻近的圆盘遮住一同落定的火星与水星，而一切都在本命的某个角里，就是说，一同落定的火星、水星与太阳，照着落在本命某个角里的月亮，它们就会使人以罪恶的心欲武装起来，总倾向于每一种恶行，他们所说的一切总被假话所玷污。他们还会是这样的人：他们罪恶的诡计可与强盗的罪行相比。这些人以伪造字母篡改文书，随意改变文书的可信。

[8] But if Jupiter, placed in suitable places of the nativity and set in those signs in which it rejoices or in which it is exalted, or in its own house, has aspected them with a favorable aspect, it both covers their misdeeds and decrees the greatest support of resources. But if, the testimony of Jupiter not being lent, Saturn has aspected them with a threatening aspect, then, their misdeeds detected and their crimes made public, it decrees for them the evil and greatest ruin of punishments.

〔八〕但倘若木星落在本命合宜的宫位，在它所喜乐或入旺的星座里，或在自己的庙里，以顺遂的相位照着它们，它就既遮掩他们的恶行，又判定资财的最大支持。但倘若木星的见证没有借出，而土星以带威胁的相位照着它们，那时他们的恶行被查出，罪行被公开，它就为他们判定恶劣而最大的惩罚之毁。

The Conjunction of Mars and the Moon.

火星与月亮的合相

[9] If Mars and the Moon, placed together in the same sign, are joined with an equal power of association, this conjunction will make men hot-tempered, men whom a prosperous outcome frequently follows in all things, especially if they have been placed in some angle of the nativity. But for these men either a brief span of life is decreed, or an untimely end in death assails the course of their life.

〔九〕倘若火星与月亮一同落在同一个星座里，以同等的结伴之力相结，这一相结会使人性急，顺遂的结局常在一切事上跟随他们，尤其是倘若它们落在本命的某个角里。但对这些人，或者判定短暂的寿命，或者不合时的死亡结局攻击他们人生的进程。

[10] On others it imposes the blemish of a vicious disease and decrees the fearful dangers of every peril; or, if none of these things happens, it decrees the lamentable and wretched end of a bad death, or exercises the power of iron or of the sword against him.

〔十〕对另一些人，它加上恶疾的瑕疵，并判定每一种危难的可怕危险；或者，倘若这些事一件也没有发生，它就判定不好死亡的可哀而悲惨的结局，或对他施展铁器或刀剑的力量。

[11] And from this conjunction wretched troubles of illness are decreed for the mother, so that her body is shaken day by day by wretched infirmity. But if Jupiter, placed in suitable places of the nativity or set in the principal angles, placed in its own house or in its exaltation, has aspected them with a saving aspect, the dangers of all these misfortunes are softened.

〔十一〕从这一相结中，还为母亲判定悲惨的疾病困扰，以致她的身体每天被悲惨的虚弱所震撼。但倘若木星落在本命合宜的宫位，或在首要之角，在自己的庙或入旺之处，以救护的相位照着它们，这一切不幸的危险就得到缓和。
