第十六章

Jupiter and Mars in Opposition.

木星与火星成对冲

[1] If Jupiter and Mars have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, they decree, on a constant principle, every unevenness of life and the ruin of the patrimony. From this aspect too, and from constant offenses, the hatred of all their friends is stirred up against them, and the greatest dangers of perils are brought upon them either from turbulent company or from rash actions.

〔一〕倘若木星与火星以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，它们就以恒常的道理判定人生的一切坎坷与祖产的毁坏。从这一相位，也从不断的冒犯中，激起所有朋友对他们的憎恨；或者从扰攘的交往，或者从鲁莽的作为，给他们带来危难的最大危险。

[2] If Jupiter and the Sun have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, they cause the father's resources to be squandered by wretched ruin, and they diminish the whole life and substance and the degrees of the rank previously held by wretched falls from honor, so that inferiors are always preferred to them in license of power. But these things are lessened in a day nativity and grow stronger in a night one.

〔二〕倘若木星与太阳以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，它们就使父亲的资财被悲惨地散尽，并以悲惨的从尊荣跌落，减损整个人生、实质与先前所持的品级等第，以致在权力的放手之权上，总是比他们低的人被置于他们之前。但这些在白天的本命盘里减轻，在夜间的本命盘里更强。

[3] If Jupiter and Venus have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, this aspect assails every course of advancement and every wish for promotion.

〔三〕倘若木星与金星以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，这一相位就攻击每一条上进之路与每一个升迁之愿。

[4] Nor does it ever decree the faithful affections of friends; rather, their friends will pursue them with crafty and faithless designs, nor do they ever wish to address them with true words, but they always try to deceive them with captious dissimulation, plotting one thing in malicious thought and saying another with a feigned kindness of speech. And their friends, roused by the grave indignation of grudges, rise up against them with various kinds of dissension; and whoever has received some favor of benefits from them, these very men are at once stirred up against them with grave dissensions of enmity; and whoever has received something from their own generosity always repays them with ingratitude.

〔四〕它也从不判定朋友忠实的情意；相反，他们的朋友会以狡猾而不忠的图谋追逐他们，从不愿以真话对他们说，而总想以吹毛求疵的掩饰欺骗他们，心里恶意地谋划一件事，嘴上却以假装的和善言辞说另一件事。他们的朋友被怨恨的重怒所激，以种种不和起而反对他们；无论谁从他们那里得过恩惠，正是这些人立刻以敌意的重大不和被激起来反对他们；无论谁从他们的慷慨中得过什么，总以忘恩负义回报他们。

[5] Yet in certain things they will have the greatest increases of good fortune. They will also have sufficient resources of patrimony. But if Jupiter has been found in the terms of Venus, they will always have prosperous outcomes of their desire; but in matters of marriage they never persist with steady affections.

〔五〕然而在某些事上，他们会有好运的最大增长。他们也会有足够的祖产资财。但倘若木星被发现在金星的界里，他们的欲望总有顺遂的结局；但在婚姻之事上，他们从不以坚定的情意持守。

[6] If Jupiter and Mercury have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, this aspect assails all those who have attained the training of learned speech. It also stirs up fearful seditions of the people, frequently brings about the quarrels of popular indignation, and will always bring it about that the natives are ill spoken of to more powerful men or to kings through the zeal of the envious. It also frequently shows the bitter deaths of brothers, or sunders them from brotherly affection by a grave grudge, and though a single bond of blood joins them, they fight against each other with a parricidal grudge of hatred.

〔六〕倘若木星与水星以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，这一相位就攻击一切得到有学问言辞之修养的人。它还激起民众可怕的骚乱，常带来民众愤怒的争吵，并总使本命之人因嫉妒者的热心而在更有权势的人或君王面前被说坏话。它还常显示兄弟苦涩的死亡，或以沉重的怨恨使他们与兄弟之情分离；虽然一条血缘的纽带把他们连在一起，他们却以弑亲般的仇恨怨恨相斗。

[7] If Jupiter and the Moon have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, and the Moon is full of light, and the degrees of Jupiter precede the number of the Moon's degrees, this aspect decrees the insignia of the highest rank and ennobles their life with illustrious power.

〔七〕倘若木星与月亮以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，而月亮光满，木星的度数又在月亮度数之数的前面，这一相位就判定最高品级的徽章，并以显赫的权力使他们的人生显贵。

[8] It also decrees all the ornaments of power, and makes a man such as can never be subject to the powers of others, and who, by virtue of courage and constancy of mind, always confidently resists the powers of others. But if the Moon is diminished in light, nothing of the aforesaid goods is decreed, but rather the greatest ruin of misfortunes. And then the evils grow stronger if the nativity is a night nativity.

〔八〕它还判定权力的一切装饰，使人成为这样的人：永远不会受别人的权力支配，并凭勇气与心志的坚定，总是有信心地抵抗别人的权力。但倘若月亮光亏，前面所说的好事一样也不判定，反而判定不幸的最大毁灭。倘若本命盘是夜间的，那时恶事更强。

Mars and the Sun in Opposition.

[1] If Mars and the Sun have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, and the nativity is a day nativity, this aspect lays the father low by the atrocity of a wretched death, or always blinds the lights of his eyes with a grave disease of the eyes. The natives themselves it hurls down from high places with wretched mangling, or grave danger is always brought upon them unawares, and it causes all their actions to be hindered by grave adversities. But if the nativity is a night nativity, it breaks their strength and weakens the whole substance with the feebleness of a wearied body, and, the patrimony torn apart and squandered, it imposes the want of beggary.

〔一〕倘若火星与太阳以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，而本命盘是白天的，这一相位就以悲惨死亡的残酷打倒父亲，或总以严重的眼疾使他双目失明。至于本命之人自己，它把他们从高处悲惨地摔下而致伤残，或总在他们不知不觉时带来严重的危险，并使他们的一切作为被严重的违逆所阻碍。但倘若本命盘是夜间的，它就折断他们的力气，以疲惫身体的虚弱削弱全部实质，并在祖产被撕裂散尽之后，加上乞讨的匮乏。

[2] If Mars and Venus have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, and the nativity is a day nativity, they will always entangle the natives in the vices of roving wanderings, and they decree, on a constant principle, the troubles of illnesses. And Venus and Mars so placed always assail marriage and children with envious grating. But if, placed in tropical signs, they have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, they decree those things which we said above that they decree when in square, especially if they have struck at each other with this aspect from Capricorn and from Cancer, and if Jupiter has lent them no testimony.

〔二〕倘若火星与金星以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，而本命盘是白天的，它们总会使本命之人卷入漂泊游荡的恶习，并以恒常的道理判定疾病的困扰。这样落定的金星与火星，总以嫉妒的刺耳之声攻击婚姻与子女。但倘若它们落在回归星座里以对冲的相位彼此相照，它们就判定我们在上面说过它们成四分时所判定的那些事，尤其是倘若它们从摩羯与巨蟹以这一相位互相打击，而木星又没有借给它们任何见证。

[3] If Mars and Mercury have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, this conjunction decrees the greatest ruin of misfortunes and of calamity: either those who have Mars and Mercury so, having altered the trustworthiness of tablets and writings, incur a charge of forgery; or they are joined to all crimes in the fellowship of a guilty conscience; or they join in the partnership of a criminal life with sorcerers and poisoners; or, always oppressed by the heavy interest on their debts, they are dragged before the public courts with the loss of their modesty;

〔三〕倘若火星与水星以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，这一相结就判定不幸与灾祸的最大毁灭：或者这样拥有火星与水星的人，篡改了文书与字据的可信，招来伪造的罪名；或者以有罪的良心为伴，与一切罪行相连；或者与巫师、投毒者结成犯罪生活的伙伴；或者总被债务的沉重利息所压，以羞耻的丧失被拖到公众的法庭前；

[4] or, possessed by a depraved ardor of desire and defiling the sacred dealings of trust, they try to deny having things deposited or entrusted to them, so that from this perfidy or from the aforesaid crimes the danger of a public sentence rises up against them, and, subjected to the powers of judges, they are shaken by a fearful terror of lawsuits. Others, harried by terrors over their former misdeeds and wearied by the burdens of a guilty conscience, are cut off from their homeland by fugitive wanderings, especially if Mercury has been found in the terms of Saturn, or in the house of Saturn, or in its own house in a day nativity, and Jupiter has not aspected either of them by a trine aspect.

[5] If Mars and the Moon have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, they will either make men short-lived, or pursue them with grave successions of dangers, or not decree marriage; or, if marriage has been decreed through the protection of other planets, they destroy the wives given them by the atrocities of wretched deaths. They also slay the natives themselves by an evil end in death, or lay them low by public punishment, especially if the Moon is full of light.

〔五〕倘若火星与月亮以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，它们或者使人短寿，或者以接连的沉重危险追逐他们，或者不判定婚姻；或者，倘若婚姻借其他行星的护佑而被判定，它们就以悲惨死亡的残酷毁掉给他们的妻子。它们还以不好的死亡结局杀死本命之人自己，或以公开的惩处把他们打倒，尤其是倘若月亮光满。

The Sun and the Moon in Opposition.

太阳与月亮成对冲

If the Sun and the Moon have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, they cause a man's life and status, the order of his substance, and all the insignia of rank to be changed in various ways. For then, after riches have been bestowed, the burden of poverty is brought on again; then the troubles of poverty are relieved again by the comforts of other riches. They also produce the defects of an unsightly disease about the face, and they weaken the body with a wretched contraction.

倘若太阳与月亮以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，它们就使人的生活与地位、他实质的次序以及品级的一切徽章以种种方式改变。因为那时，在财富授予之后，贫穷的重担又再带来；那时，贫穷的困扰又被别的财富的慰藉再缓解。它们还在面部造成难看疾病的缺陷，并以悲惨的挛缩削弱身体。

第十九章

Venus and the Moon in Opposition.

金星与月亮成对冲

If Venus and the Moon have aspected each other by an opposite aspect, and, placed in contrary places, have struck at each other from afar with the power of their rays, from this aspect they decree unhappy marriages; nor, so placed, do they allow the natives to be raised up by any course of good fortune; either they will never give children, or they lay low the offspring once taken up by a wretched death. And these same men suffer frequent evils and many wrongs from their wives.

倘若金星与月亮以对冲的相位彼此相照，落在相反的宫位，以它们光线的威力远远地互相打击，从这一相位它们就判定不幸的婚姻；这样落定的它们，也不让本命之人被任何好运的进程抬起；它们或者永不给子女，或者以悲惨的死亡打倒已经得到的后代。这些人还从妻子那里遭受频繁的恶事与许多伤害。
