[1] But now that the decrees of Saturn have been explained, let us come to the decrees of Jupiter.

Jupiter in Aries.

[2] Whoever have Jupiter in Aries are thrown into disorder in every activity in early life, until they have completed the adverse parts of the nativity. But when these times have been completed, then honors, then fortunate activities, then good times, then a time of advancement, then the conduct of the greatest affairs are decreed; then they are joined in the friendships of powerful and great men, or, placed in great and royal households, they are entrusted with the duties of a powerful administration; then they obtain the greatest patrimonies and receive the power of commanding, and they are relieved by an increase of gladness from their wives and children. For then the insignia of power and of honor are conferred, then they are allotted the rule and power over men, then they come out victors in all lawsuits and in all contests of business and of litigation, and whatever they have handled in silent thought is all accomplished in the easiest way.

[3] For Jupiter makes men adorned with a reputation for goodness. They will certainly have some mark about the mouth. And they will be masters of the patrimonies of others. They will be religious in the worship of the gods and will keep the secrets of all with good faith, and they are directed by more powerful men or by kings to the duties of a great administration, being imperious and strong in all their activities. But their first times will be difficult, though afterward they will accomplish everything prosperously, shaped by the constant admonition of the gods, especially if, when Jupiter is placed in the chief places of the nativity and not in the cast-down ones, Saturn or Mars or the Sun or Mercury or Venus or the Moon has aspected it with a trine aspect.

[4] Whoever have Jupiter in Taurus will be in the greatest glory and in the greatest positions of power, but only after Saturn has completed its times. For in their first times they are shaken by a grave storm of dangers. For they will be engaged in sicknesses, in servitude, and in lawsuits. Then disputes with the more powerful, then losses, then labors, then injuries are decreed. But after they have been weighed down, they will have prosperous outcomes in all their affairs. Then they are allotted glories, then the friendships of the powerful; then powerful men entrust to them the secrets of their life.

[5] They will sail on the great sea or on rivers, and they will also associate with criminal or infamous men [lacuna] serving religions. But the protection of life is conferred on them by women, and through women they will obtain the insignia of great rank and of the greatest honors. Yet they will be just and strong, showing love to their friends. There will be a free speech in them; they will plead strongly on behalf of their friends. They will certainly be rash, strong in every contention of disputes, and men who wish to be of use never to themselves but always to their friends.

[6] But their friends frequently prove ungrateful to them, and having frequently fallen, they are set right again. They will be the sons of two fathers, one by nature, the other by adoption, or of two mothers. In the beginning they will have joys from their wives and afterward griefs, and likewise from their children. They will be of use to many, having the greatest insignia of felicity. But it decrees all these things according to the measure of the nativity.

[7] Whoever have Jupiter in Gemini will be in the greatest glories and powers, known for favor in friendships and always adorned; and when they have sought many things, they lose these same things again, and their life varies with constant change. For in the first period of life they will be in dissensions, in many business affairs, in losses, in straits, and in sicknesses, and they will have constant griefs over wife and children until they have completed 45 years of age. For within this span of time, whatever the nativity has decreed less of [probably: "in the matters which the lord of the nativity has decreed less"] [lacuna] whatever they have is squandered.

[8] But when this time has been traversed, then they will have renown, then the supports of means. They will also have dissensions with their wives in the first period, but afterward they will possess prosperous marriages [lacuna] in public places, and from these they will receive the insignia of felicity. But these things are decreed according to the measure of the nativity and according to the mixtures and aspects of the other planets, which it will be fitting for you to observe and remember in all nativities.

[9] Whoever have Jupiter in Cancer will be friends of the powerful and will move among them, keeping their secrets in faithful silence; and when Jupiter has begun to possess their times, then patrimonies, then honors, then the insignia of glory are conferred on them. But neither felicity nor the faith of friendship ever lasts for them; they will frequently be lowly, especially when Saturn has entered the chief places of the nativity, or when it has come to the sign of Aquarius or of Pisces. Then they are entangled in the difficulties of the greatest perils; then there are dangers, then turmoils, then losses, then sicknesses; then quarrels with powerful men or with kinsmen; then they will undergo false accusations and the odium of public talk.

[10] But these things are mitigated when Saturn and Jupiter have been found in the square sides of this sign. And when Saturn has come to this same sign and has applied itself to the star of Jupiter, it will be of boundless benefit, yet more so when it has made its passage to the sign of Leo. For when it has entered the times of its second station in Leo, it decrees felicities, glories, and the insignia of some honor. Then they will command a great many men, then the wickedness of all their adversaries is overcome, then a fortunate reputation raises their renown, then there will be license enough that they can sustain others too.

[11] But when they have been fortunate, they lose part of their felicity again; but these things are decreed according to the difference of the decree. They will have gladness from a woman or a wife, they will also rejoice in offspring received, and they will obtain the ownership of estates and of movable goods. After a varied age and unevenness of life they come to the prosperous advantages of felicity, so that they are worthy of admiration, and so that they themselves wonder by what means they have come to such great insignia of felicity.

Jupiter in Leo.

[12] Whoever have Jupiter in Leo will be in many labors and toils until Saturn, leaving Pisces, has come to the sign of Aries. For when Saturn has aspected Jupiter placed in Leo with a trine aspect, then they obtain powers, then glories, then renown, then the protection of powerful friends; placed in learning, they receive the greatest fruits; then, carried forward by prosperous promotions, they come to all activities. Then, enjoying a pleasing time, they will handle the duties of stewardship. But their first wives will not be of benefit to them.

〔十二〕凡拥有木星在狮子的人，会处在许多劳苦与疲累之中，直到土星离开双鱼、来到白羊这个星座。因为当土星以三分相照着落在狮子的木星时，那时他们得到权力，那时荣耀，那时名声，那时有权势的朋友的护佑；他们被安置在学问之中，收获最大的果实；那时他们被顺遂的升迁推着，来到一切作为。那时他们享受宜人的时光，会经办管理之职。但他们最初的妻子对他们无益。

[13] Nor are they allotted virgins as wives, but women debauched by others. They will certainly be fortunate, having attained the insignia of felicity by their own efforts after their father's patrimony has been lost. Yet they will be strong of soul, lavish, liberal, and men who desire the property of others with depraved greed.

Jupiter in Virgo.

[14] Whoever have Jupiter in Virgo will be elegant, honorable, well reared, and chaste, effective, faithful, always loving their friends with good affection, freeborn in character, contentious, powerful, hardworking, not having a single course in life, until Saturn has passed through the opposite of the sign in which Saturn itself was placed in the nativity. And when it is in Pisces, they will be in storms, in losses, in sicknesses, in pains, in anxieties.

〔十四〕凡拥有木星在处女的人，会雅致、体面、教养良好、贞洁、能干、忠实，总以良好的情意爱朋友，品性如自由人，好争，有权势，勤劳，一生没有单一的路途，直到土星经过它在本命中所在之星座的对面。当它在双鱼时，他们会处在风暴、损失、疾病、痛苦与忧虑之中。

[15] But when Saturn has passed out of Pisces, then glory, then power; then they are allotted chaste and benevolent wives who serve the interests of their husbands. They will have griefs over their children until the times of Saturn have been completed. They will be in great honor and in great positions of power, which positions are decreed according to the substance of the nativity.

[16] Whoever have Jupiter in Libra will always have upheavals and turmoils in early life, especially if Saturn has been found opposite Jupiter or opposite the Moon. For then losses, then domestic dissensions, then sorrows, then injuries, then disgraces, then lawsuits, then journeys abroad, then offenses, then the squandering of the patrimony are decreed.

〔十六〕凡拥有木星在天秤的人，早年总有颠簸与骚乱，尤其是倘若土星被发现在木星的对面或月亮的对面。因为那时就判定损失，那时家中的不和，那时悲伤，那时伤害，那时耻辱，那时诉讼，那时远行，那时得罪人，那时祖产的挥霍。

[17] But when Saturn has passed these opposite places, and Jupiter has begun to run through the suitable places of the nativity, then they will receive the beginnings of felicity, then glory and gladness are decreed, then they will obtain adequate supports of means, whenever Jupiter, after Saturn's departure, has come to the suitable places of the nativity. Then it joins them to powerful men, or to generals, or to kings; then renown, then nobility is decreed according to the substance of the nativity; then the secrets of powerful men are entrusted to them, then the property, then the patrimonies of powerful men are committed to them.

[18] They will certainly be builders and vine-dressers, possessing the ownership of many movable goods. They will have gladness from wife and children, but only after they have first been wearied by misfortunes; and in all lawsuits judgments are pronounced in their favor, but only if they go to law without partners. For then they will have prosperous outcomes in everything, if they have kept apart from all partnership in exchange [text uncertain]. They will have some mark on the body. They will also be the sons of two fathers or of two mothers. They will possess the ownership of the patrimonies of others, religious worshipers of the gods; but the first period of their life will have the greatest difficulties, while the last will be honored with honorable activities.

[19] Whoever have Jupiter in Scorpio will be glorious and powerful, especially when Saturn has come to the summer tropical signs. For with Saturn placed in the other signs and in the first square of the nativity, they will be in sicknesses, turmoils, accusations, upheavals, lawsuits, dissensions, and in humiliations in their affairs. But when Saturn has left the first square, that is, when it has made its passage to Pisces, they will be with the powerful, with generals, with kings, keeping their secrets in faithful silence.

〔十九〕凡拥有木星在天蝎的人，会荣耀而有权势，尤其是当土星来到夏季的回归星座时。因为当土星落在其他星座、并在本命的第一个四分时，他们会处在疾病、骚乱、控告、颠簸、诉讼、不和与事务上的屈辱之中。但当土星离开第一个四分，即行经双鱼时，他们会与权贵、与将领、与君王在一起，以忠实的缄默守住他们的秘密。

[20] They will sail great rivers and seas, and they will carry out the greatest affairs through barren and infamous men or women. They will be well disposed to the multitude, having the insignia of power among the people, strong in soul and body alike, and they will obtain the ownership of great substance. They will have gladness from the affections of wife and children, but only once an earlier dissension has been laid to rest. They will also be directed by more powerful men and kings to the power of some administration [lacuna] placed there they will be of use to a great many. These, though wearied in early life, rejoice in a fortunate old age. But here too must be observed what we said for the sign of Aries.

[21] Whoever have Jupiter in Sagittarius will be glorious, powerful, noble, known, powerful generals or friends of generals or of the powerful, wealthy, well supplied, learned. But whatever they have obtained they will lose for as long as the star of Saturn is passing through the first places of the nativity. For then they will be in disturbances, in pains, in seditions, and whatever they wish to accomplish, they will not have prosperous outcomes.

〔二十一〕凡拥有木星在射手的人，会荣耀、有权势、高贵、知名，是有权势的将领或将领与权贵的朋友，富有、充裕、有学问。但他们所得的一切，在土星之星经过本命最初几个宫位的那段时间里都会失去。因为那时他们会处在扰乱、痛苦、暴动之中，凡他们想完成的，都不会有顺遂的结局。

[22] And in those times they will be in straits and in labors until Jupiter, having completed the second circuit of its course, has met its own place with a prosperous aspect. For then by degrees it decrees all prosperous things according to the power of the places: then renown, then glory, then might, then power; then it bestows increases of patrimony, then it will give cheerfulness, then gladness, then it decrees marriages and children. But those who have Jupiter so will possess the patrimonies of others. They will certainly be good and suited to every duty of humanity.

[23] In the first period of their life they will certainly be unstable in all things and will disagree with their wife. But placed in the middle course of life, they rejoice in prosperous felicity. But if in the nativity Saturn has struck Jupiter placed in Sagittarius with either a square or an opposite aspect, they will have either no wives or no children, especially if Jupiter has been found in the terms of Saturn. They will certainly be men of great fortune, liberal, lovable, friends of many, known to all, elegant, honorable, adorned with every kind of goodness, especially if Jupiter, placed in the first places of the nativity, has aspected any of the other planets with a trine aspect.

[24] Whoever have Jupiter in Capricorn will be glorious, friends of the powerful, keeping the secrets of their friends in faithful silence. They will be fortunate, but only when Jupiter has completed the spans of its second course. For before this time, in whatever honor the native may be, he is cast down from the power of that honor, and they will be in straits and in the most difficult activities, censures, and humiliations, serving the lowliest men, for as long as Saturn is passing through the second trine of that same sign.

[25] For before this time they will be engaged in a great many griefs, losses, lawsuits, and contrarieties; they will see the deaths of their own kin and will be entangled in many misfortunes, and they will be placed in such unhappiness that they long to be freed by death from this succession of evils. But when Saturn has passed through these places we have mentioned, with all evils shut out and laid to rest, they will obtain the greatest advantages of felicity, and, lifted up by dealings with a great many people, they will be set over great means, according to the strength and substance of the nativity.
