[25] But placed with the Sun in the sixth place, they do these same things, if no planet placed in the Midheaven has loosened the harshness of this malice; for if some planet has been found in the Midheaven, with all these so found, that is, placed in the sixth place, everything we have said is softened. But if Mercury has been found with Saturn in the second place of the nativity, or in the fifth, or in the eleventh, with the Sun placed with them in the same place, it will make men malicious in all their actions, or advocates, or men skilled in the law, or scribes, or shorthand writers, or overseers of gardens, or distributors of water.

〔二十五〕但它们与太阳一同落在第六宫，也造成同样这些事，倘若没有落在中天的行星化解这恶意的严酷；因为倘若中天被发现有某颗行星，这一切这样被发现、即落在第六宫时，我们所说的一切都会得到缓和。但倘若水星被发现与土星同在本命的第二宫、或第五宫、或第十一宫，太阳与它们同在一处，就会使人在一切行事上恶毒，或做辩护人、或通晓法律的人、或书记、或速记员、或园圃的管理人、或分水的人。

[26] But if, with these so placed in the places we have mentioned, Mars has joined itself to them in some association, or if it has been found with them, they will be men placed in charge of public executions, and recorders of those sentences which are pronounced concerning men's lives, or adjutants, or keepers of the prison registers, but men to whom the care of the condemned is entrusted, or turnkeys, or prison guards, and men to whom the fetters of the public chains are entrusted, or overseers of executioners, or executioners, and men who are accustomed to tear condemned men with scourges, and other things like these.

〔二十六〕但倘若这些星在我们所说的那些宫位这样落位，火星以某种结伴与它们相连，或被发现与它们同在，他们就会是主管公开行刑的人，记录那些关乎人性命的判决的人，或佐吏、或监狱名册的看管人，但却是受托照管死囚的人，或掌钥匙的狱卒、或监狱看守，受托管理公共锁链之镣铐的人，或刽子手的监管、或刽子手，惯常以鞭子撕裂被定罪之人的人，以及其他类似的人。

[27] But if, with all these placed in these places as we have said, Jupiter and Venus have joined themselves to them by some aspect, or if they have been found with them, they will indeed do none of the things we said before; for they decree those things only when they are alone. But with Jupiter and Venus they will make priests, sacrificial attendants, and men who preside over sacred rites, or who pasture sacred flocks or flocks destined for sacrifices or for religious rites, or who perform some office in the temples, or who obtain the greatest rewards from the temples.

〔二十七〕但倘若这一切如我们所说落在这些宫位，木星和金星以某种相位与它们相连，或被发现与它们同在，它们确实不会造成我们前面所说的任何事；因为那些事只在它们单独时才判定。但有木星和金星时，它们会造就祭司、献祭的助手、主持圣礼的人，或放牧神圣羊群或专供献祭、宗教仪式之用的羊群的人，或在神庙里担任某种职务的人，或从神庙得到极大报酬的人。

[28] But all these planets we have mentioned, placed partilely in the twelfth place as well, decree these same things in a like manner; but these men are slower, yet from all the things in which they have been engaged they will have both glory and preeminence. And all these, placed in the sixth place too, decree these same things in a like manner, if another planet, as we said before, has been found in the Midheaven. But if the Sun alone is found with Mars in the seventh place of the nativity or in any other angle, or in the second place of the nativity, or in the fifth, or in the eighth, or in the eleventh, it will give crafts of fire and iron and of things that are fashioned from some other hard material. But the Sun and Mars placed together in the angles decree these crafts for life.

〔二十八〕但我们所提到的这一切行星，也精确到度地落在第十二宫时，以相似的道理判定同样这些事；不过这些人较迟缓，但从他们所从事的一切中，他们都会得到荣耀与首位。这一切落在第六宫时，倘若如我们前面所说另有一颗行星被发现在中天，也以相似的道理判定同样这些事。但倘若太阳单独与火星被发现在本命的第七宫或任何别的角，或在本命的第二宫、或第五宫、或第八宫、或第十一宫，它就会给予火与铁的技艺，以及用其他坚硬材料制作之物的技艺。但太阳与火星一同落在各角，就判定终身从事这些技艺。

[29] The Sun placed in the eighth place from the Ascendant will make the father die quickly. But if Mars or Saturn has been found with it, or set against it from opposition, or joined to it from a square, they will make men out of their minds, or sufferers from heart disease, or frenzied; but these defects of health are decreed according to the nature of the signs.

〔二十九〕太阳落在从上升点起的第八宫，会使父亲早死。但倘若火星或土星被发现与它同在，或从对冲与它相对，或从四分与它相连，就会造就神志错乱的人、或心脏病人、或狂乱的人；但这些健康上的缺陷按星座的本性判定。

[30] But if, with the Sun placed in the eighth place, the Moon is placed in opposition, not yet wrapped in conjunction but full of light, or even if it has been found in conjunction with it in the eighth place, while Saturn and Mars are placed in opposition or are placed together, or if they have joined themselves to them by a square aspect, they will cause the greatest ailments and disabilities.

〔三十〕但倘若太阳落在第八宫时，月亮落在对冲，还未被会合裹住而是满光，或者甚至被发现与它在第八宫会合，而土星和火星落在对冲或一同落位，或以四分的相位与它们相连，就会造成极大的病患与伤残。

For they burden the head with malignant humors, and, from the stubborn persistence of the humors that have collected about the head, they will make epileptics and lunatics, or cause them to fail through continual seizures, and also make them utter words not their own; the shoulders of others they disable with grave damage; on others they inflict blemishes, leprosies, scaly eruptions, consumption, dropsy; others they make elephantiacs, others lame, others hunchbacked, others paralytic; of others they cut off the greatest parts of the body; but all these things are decreed according to the difference and nature of the signs. For they do similar things placed in the second place from the Ascendant, and in the sixth, and in the twelfth, and in the eighth, as we have said.

[31] But if, with all things placed as we have said, Jupiter and Venus have joined themselves by some aspect, or are placed together with them, or have aspected them by a trine aspect, or have joined themselves to the Moon, all these ailments we have mentioned will be such that they can be treated and cured. And even if, with the benefic planets, that is, Jupiter and Venus, so placed, a malefic planet has received the conjunction of the approaching Moon, the defect and sickness will indeed be lifelong, but the bitterness of the ailment is softened by the providence of some divinity.

〔三十一〕但倘若一切都如我们所说这样落位，木星和金星以某种相位相连，或与它们一同落位，或以三分的相位照着它们，或与月亮相连，我们所提到的这一切病患就会是可以医治、可以痊愈的。即使吉星即木星和金星这样落位，一颗凶星接受了趋近的月亮的会合，缺陷与疾病确实会是终身的，但病患的苦楚会因某位神灵的眷顾而得到缓和。

[32] But if, with all these placed as we have said, the star of Mercury has joined itself to them, either placed with them or placed in sextile, it restrains or softens these ailments we have mentioned either by some remedy or by incantations, so that by these remedies they are freed in every way from the onset of ailments, especially if the Moon, waxing, has joined itself to Jupiter, or, waning in light, to Venus. But if, in this arrangement of the planets which we have set out, the Moon has always joined itself to the star of Mercury and, placed with it, has been struck by the rays of the benefic planets from a trine or from a sextile, they flee for refuge to the gods and will remain there, begging remedies from them.

〔三十二〕但倘若这一切如我们所说这样落位，水星之星与它们相连，或与它们同在、或落在六分，它就以某种疗法或以咒语抑制或缓和我们所说的这些病患，使他们凭这些疗法在各方面摆脱病患的侵袭，尤其是倘若月亮正盈而与木星相连，或光亮亏缺而与金星相连。但倘若在我们所述的这种行星排布中，月亮总与水星之星相连，又与它同在而受吉星从三分或六分的照射，他们就会投奔诸神避难，留在那里，向诸神求取疗救。

But if the Moon has joined itself to the star of Mercury, with the Sun, Saturn, and Mars placed as we have said, while Jupiter and Venus have been found in averse and fallen places, they make madmen, lunatics, the possessed by demons, and men who are entangled in lifelong calamities from these defects, so that they also perish by a violent death.

但倘若太阳、土星和火星如我们所说这样落位，月亮与水星之星相连，而木星和金星被发现在背离而低陷的宫位，它们就会造就疯狂者、疯癫者、被邪灵附身者，以及因这些缺陷而陷入终身灾难、以致横死的人。

[33] The Sun placed in the ninth place from the Ascendant makes makers of images of the gods, or worshippers of divine statues, or adorners of the gods, or builders of temples, or hymn-writers and men who chant the praises of the gods with a display of ostentation, and from these things they will have glory and honors. And the Sun so placed also makes the father fortunate, but for the native himself and for his father it decrees varied and manifold changes of life. And if, with the Sun so placed, a benefic planet has been found in the succedent of the Midheaven, they will obtain the greatest increases of good fortune while living in foreign places. But if a malefic planet has been found in this place, the native will suffer many troubles while abroad and will die abroad in grief.

〔三十三〕太阳落在从上升点起的第九宫，造就制作神像的人、或神圣雕像的崇拜者、或装饰神像的人、或神庙的建造者、或颂诗作者以及带着炫耀的排场歌唱诸神赞美的人，他们会从这些事中得到荣耀与尊荣。这样落位的太阳也使父亲幸运，但为本命之人本身和他的父亲判定种种多变的人生转折。倘若太阳这样落位时，一颗吉星被发现在中天的续宫，他们身处异乡时会得到幸福的极大增长。但倘若一颗凶星被发现在这个宫位，本命之人在异乡会遭受许多不便，并在悲伤中客死他乡。

[34] The Sun placed partilely in the tenth place from the Ascendant in a day nativity, that is, in the Midheaven, in its own house, or in the house of Jupiter, or in that degree in which it is exalted, will make kings to whom the empire is handed down by their father, or generals on whom this honor is conferred in a like manner, drawn from their father's honors, or administrators and consuls and proconsuls, but men on whom this is bestowed by the merit of their father's rank.

〔三十四〕太阳在白天的本命盘里精确到度地落在从上升点起的第十宫，即中天，在自己的庙、或木星的庙、或在它被举起的那一度，会造就由父亲传给帝国的君王，或同样从父亲的荣誉中承袭而被授予这份荣誉的将领，或行政官、执政官与行省总督，但却是凭父亲官阶的功绩而被授予的人。

[35] But if, with the Sun so placed, Mars has occupied another angle of the nativity, they will attain kingdoms, generalships, administrations, consulships, and proconsulships through dangers, through battles, and through envy. But if the Sun has been found partilely in the Midheaven in the signs we have mentioned, while Mars has been placed in the Descendant, that is, in the seventh place of the nativity, and the Moon, full of light, in another angle of the nativity, has aspected Mars, that is, placed either in the Ascendant or in the Midheaven, it makes the native, whether king or general or consul or proconsul or administrator, an exile and a captive.

〔三十五〕但倘若太阳这样落位时，火星占据本命的另一角，他们就会经由危险、战斗与嫉妒得到王国、将领之职、行政之职、执政官之职与行省总督之职。但倘若太阳精确到度地被发现在中天、在我们所说的星座里，而火星落在下降点即本命的第七宫，满光的月亮在本命的另一角，即落在上升点或中天，照着火星，就会使本命之人——无论是君王、将领、执政官、行省总督还是行政官——成为流放者与俘虏。

[36] And if the Sun, as we have said, has been placed in the Midheaven, while Mars has been placed in the second place from the Ascendant or in the 8th place, and the Moon has received the rays of Mars by opposition or by square, or has been placed with it full of light, it likewise makes these same men we have mentioned die a violent death, and makes them exiles and captives. But if, with the Sun placed as we have said, Mars is estranged from these places we have mentioned, while Jupiter has been found in the angles or in the cadent places, and the Moon has occupied some angle of the nativity and, full of light, has joined itself to Jupiter by aspect, it will make these same kings or generals extend their power over the expanse of the whole world.

〔三十六〕倘若太阳如我们所说落在中天，而火星落在从上升点起的第二宫或第八宫，月亮以对冲或四分接受了火星的光线，或满光与它同在，它同样使我们所提到的这同一些人横死，并使他们成为流放者与俘虏。但倘若太阳如我们所说这样落位，火星与我们所提到的这些宫位疏离，而木星被发现在各角或落宫，月亮占据本命的某一角，满光以相位与木星相连，就会使这同一些君王或将领把权力伸展到全世界的疆域。

[37] But the Sun placed platically in the sign in which the Midheaven is will make the parents noble and honorable, especially if some benefic planet has aspected the Sun so placed by some aspect; but these things too are diminished if a malefic star impedes the Sun so placed. But in general the Sun placed partilely with Mercury in all the angles will make men of letters, eloquent and adorned with varied studies of literature, whence a varied career and some very great learning are decreed. And those who have the Sun and Mercury so, if the star of Jupiter has joined itself to them, will be placed with kings for the sake of letters and of teaching; but Mercury too will do these things, if it has been found far from the rays of the Sun and if Jupiter and Venus have aspected it so placed by a good aspect, without the envy of Mars and Saturn.

〔三十七〕但太阳概略地落在中天所在的星座，会使父母高贵、体面，尤其是倘若某颗吉星以某种相位照着这样落位的太阳；但倘若一颗凶星阻碍这样落位的太阳，这些也会减少。但一般说来，太阳在各角与水星精确到度地同在，会造就文人，善辩，以种种文学研究为饰，由此判定多样的生涯与某种极大的学问。这样得太阳和水星的人，倘若木星之星与它们相连，就会因文学与教学之故被安置在君王身边；但水星单独也会造成这些，倘若它被发现远离太阳的光线，而木星和金星以好的相位照着这样落位的它，没有火星和土星的嫉妒。

[38] The Sun placed in the eleventh place from the Ascendant will make men fortunate and noble, and men whose fathers are adorned with the greatest splendor of honor; but in the course of time they will receive increases of good fortune and of rank. And all these things will be greater if Jupiter has aspected the Sun so placed, either placed together with it or by a trine aspect, or if Venus has been found with it as a morning star, or has aspected it from a sextile as a morning star; for all these ranks are conferred on them through the favor of friends. But if it has been found in the eleventh place of the nativity, and malefic planets are either with it or joined to it by some aspect, they will indeed impede nothing in their actions or honors, but they harm only the place of children, by the persistence of a bitter decree.

〔三十八〕太阳落在从上升点起的第十一宫，会使人幸运而高贵，他们的父亲以极大的荣誉光辉为饰；随着时间推移，他们会得到幸福与官阶的增长。倘若木星或与太阳同在、或以三分照着这样落位的太阳，或金星作为晨星被发现与它同在，或作为晨星从六分照着它，这一切都会更大；因为这一切官阶都是凭朋友的情谊赐给他们的。但倘若它被发现在本命的第十一宫，而凶星或与它同在、或以某种相位与它相连，它们确实不会在行事或荣誉上阻碍什么，只以一种苦涩判定的持久，伤害子女之宫。

[39] The Sun placed in the twelfth place from the Ascendant will make men ignoble, and frequently slaves and captives, and decrees the early death of the father and the loss of the whole patrimony, and also grave defects and sicknesses. And even if a benefic planet has been found with the Sun in that place, it will nonetheless make the greatest ignobility. But if a malefic planet has been found in this place with the Sun, it decrees lifelong sicknesses and the greatest defects, and lifelong servitude.

〔三十九〕太阳落在从上升点起的第十二宫，会使人卑微，常为奴隶与俘虏，并判定父亲早死、全部祖产的丧失，还有严重的缺陷与疾病。即使一颗吉星被发现与太阳同在那个宫位，它仍会造成极大的卑微。但倘若一颗凶星被发现与太阳同在这个宫位，就判定终身的疾病、极大的缺陷与终身的奴役。

[40] But inquire carefully also into the dodecatemory of the Sun and the terms of the dodecatemory, so that the teaching of this work may not deceive you in any respect.

〔四十〕但也要仔细探究太阳的十二分部与十二分部的界，好让这部著作的教导在任何方面都不欺骗你。
