第二十六章　（论书信与消息）

[1] When a letter, a piece of news, or a message comes to a man, look at Mercury in his root nativity: whenever the benefics regard him, or Mercury together with the luminaries regards the benefics, or Mercury is in a sign in which there is no malefic with him, the position of these planets, when they are in this condition, signifies the good that is in the letter and the message.

[1] 有书信、消息或口信来到某人那里时，看他本命盘中的水星：只要有吉星照见他，或水星与两光一同照见吉星，或水星所在的星座里没有凶星与他同在，这些行星处在这种情形，就表示书信与口信里有好事。

[2] Look into the news that arrives in the letter and the message at the Sun and the Moon in their transit: if they are clean of the malefics, and the Moon is with Mercury in one of those signs that I described as clean of the malefics, with the benefics in them or regarding them, then the letter, news, or message that reaches the native at that hour holds joy and gladness.

[2] 书信、口信里带来的消息，要看太阳和月亮的行运：若她们未受凶星沾染，月亮又与水星同在我说过无凶星沾染的那些星座之一，而其中有吉星或有吉星照见，那么那个时刻送到此人手里的书信、消息或口信，就带着欢喜与快乐。

[3] If, when the letter, news, or message arrives at that hour, the Moon is in one of those signs with a malefic, and no benefic is with her or regards her, then the letter, news, or message that arrives at that hour holds trouble, calamity, and harm.

[3] 若那个时刻书信、消息或口信送到时，月亮在那些星座之一而有凶星同在，又没有吉星与她同在或照见她，那么那个时刻送到的书信、消息或口信就带着纷扰、灾祸与损害。

[4] If Mercury is in one of the places of the benefics among those signs, being oriental, and the benefics and the malefics both regard him, it is good news.

[4] 若水星在那些星座中属吉星的位置之一，又是东出，而吉星与凶星都照见他，那就是好消息。

[5] Some of the learned have examined this matter in another way.

[5] 有些学者从另一条路推求这件事。

[6] They said: look at Jupiter and Venus in their transit.

[6] 他们说：看木星和金星的行运。

[7] When they reach the sign in which the luminaries were at that man's birth, or are in square to the sign in which the luminaries are, or the sign in which Jupiter and Venus are in that transit of theirs is clean of the malefics, and Mercury is clear of the malefics and regards Jupiter or Venus, then the letter, news, or message that reaches the native at that hour holds gladness, joy, and profit.

[7] 当它们走到此人出生时两光所在的星座，或与两光所在的星座成四分，或木星金星行运所在的星座未受凶星沾染，而水星也不受凶星沾染、并照见木星或金星时，那个时刻送到此人手里的书信、消息或口信，就带着快乐、欢喜与好处。

[8] If in that transit Saturn or Mars, or both, are in the sign in which the luminaries were at the nativity, or are in square to that sign, and Mercury is with them or regards them, the letter, news, or message that reaches the native at that hour is bad; and if he travels at that hour, harm will enter upon him.

[8] 若在那次行运中，土星或火星或两者都在出生时两光所在的星座，或与那个星座成四分，而水星与它们同在或照见它们，那个时刻送到此人手里的书信、消息或口信就不好；他若在那个时刻出行，也会受害。
