XXI. Chapter: On Travel.

第二十一章　论出行。

[1] If you want, or someone wants, to travel or to go out from his land to another land, look for the traveller from the Ascendant, for the land he is heading to from the seventh, for the work and the need he seeks on that journey from the house of authority, and for the outcome of the matter from the house of the fathers.

[1] 若你或某人想出行，或离开本乡去别的地方，出行者看上升，所去之地看第七宫，这趟出行所办之事、所求之需看权位宫，事情的结局看父母宫。

If someone goes from his fatherland to a foreign land, consider him from the Hour-marker, the place to which he departs from the western angle, and his business from the midmost height; and what end there will be for him you may judge very clearly from the subterranean sign.

若有人离开故乡前往异乡，从时辰标记者看他本人，从西方之角看他前往之地，从最高的中天看他的事务；他将有怎样的结局，你可从地下的星座清楚判断。

[2] Let his departure be while the Moon is increasing in her reckoning, in light and in latitude; and let Mercury not be under the beams of the Sun nor with the malefics; let the Moon not be in the twelfth place nor in the sixth place from the Ascendant; and let neither the lord of the Ascendant nor the lord of the Moon be under the beams or cadent.

[2] 出发时要让月亮的推算值、光与纬度都在增长；水星不要在太阳光束之下，也不要与凶星同在；月亮不要在上升起第十二宫或第六宫；上升之主与月亮之主都不要在光束下或落在果宫。

Look at the benefics, what position and configurations they have; and in general it is good to make journeys when no planet is stationary and configured with the Moon.

要看吉星处在什么位置、成什么相位；一般说来，没有哪颗星停留又与月亮成相位时出行为好。

In general, for travel one must see that Mercury is not decreasing, nor under the beams, nor harmed by the malefics in any configuration whatever; watch for this also when you are about to enter a city or to go ashore from a ship.

总之，出行要看水星不要递减，不在光束下，也不被凶星以任何相位所伤；你要进城或下船时，也要留意这一点。

[3] For if the Moon is in the sixth or the twelfth place from the Ascendant, this signifies that hardship, toil, and harm will come upon him on that journey.

[3] 因为若月亮在上升起第六或第十二宫，表示这趟出行他会遭遇艰难、劳苦与伤害。

Do not begin a sojourn abroad when Selene has stepped upon the baneful Daemon or upon Fortune, which is the sixth from the Hour-marker; for she plants this pain, or ill success, or some damage to the livelihood.

塞勒涅踏在凶恶的恶灵之位，或踏在恶运之位（第六位）时，不要开始客居异乡；因为她会种下这种痛苦，或办事不成，或生计受损。

[4] If the Moon is increasing in her reckoning, this signifies that he will come to the place he wants in comfort.

[4] 若月亮推算值在增长，表示他会安然抵达想去的地方。

[5] If the benefics are in the Ascendant, or testify to it, this signifies that the state of his journey, by road or by sea, will turn out well and most pleasantly; and if Mercury is with them and in his morning rising, one will accomplish quickly and cheerfully the things for which he makes the journey.

[5] 若吉星在上升或为上升作证，表示他这趟出行——无论陆路水路——会顺利愉快；若水星与它们同在而在晨出，此人会迅速、愉快地办成他出行所为之事。

[6] If the benefics are in the seventh house, this signifies that he will profit from setting out to the land he wants; and if Mercury is in the Descendant with Jupiter and Venus testifying to him, these things will be better, profitable, and worthy of note.

[6] 若吉星在第七宫，表示他前往想去的地方会有收获；若水星在下降而有木星、金星为他作证，这些事会更好、有利，值得称道。

A good planet standing in the Hour-marker is best in all things; a good planet standing in the setting place says that the place to which one departs is profitable, even if one sets out to it for the sake of glory; but if fiery Ares or chill Phainon is present in it, at one time grievous diseases, at another fights, at another dread outrages.

吉星立于时辰标记者（上升），事事最好；吉星立于下沉之位，说明所去之地有利可图，即使是为名声而去；若火光闪耀的阿瑞斯或寒冷的法农在那里，时而重病，时而争斗，时而可怕的凌辱。

[7] If the Moon, Saturn, and Mars are all in the Ascendant, or one of them is, or they are in the seventh house, or regard it, this signifies that on his journey and in the land he comes to he will meet with severe pain, heavy illness, loss, clamour, fighting, and delays.

[7] 若月亮、土星、火星都在上升，或其中之一在上升，或它们在第七宫或照见第七宫，表示他在旅途中、在所到之地会遇到剧痛、重病、损失、喧闹、争斗与耽搁。

[8] If the lord of the Ascendant or the lord of the Moon is stationary, this signifies that his absence will be long and that slowness and difficulty will enter into his affair, or inactivity.

[8] 若上升之主或月亮之主停留，表示他客居在外会很久，事情会拖延、艰难，或一事无成。

Judge also the lords of the Moon and of the Hour-marker, lest they be hidden, overcome by the glittering light of the Sun; and if either of the two rulers is stationary, he would accomplish his journeys or his affairs slowly.

还要判断月亮之主与时辰标记者之主，看它们是否被太阳闪耀的光芒压住而隐没；若两位主宰中有一位停留，他的旅程或事务都会进行得缓慢。

From the planets that regard the Midheaven, or are in it, the business for which the journey is made will be known, and the end from the subterranean place; but the authority of everything is completed from the configurations, above all of the Moon, who must be forbidden for departures when she is in the Bad Daemon or in Bad Fortune, for she is not only a cause of ill success but also a minister of sufferings.

从照见中天或在中天的星，可知出行所为之事；从地下之位知其结局；而一切的定局都由相位来完成，尤其是月亮的相位：月亮在恶灵位或恶运位时，不可出发，因为她不但使事情不成，还助成苦难。

[9] If one of the benefics is in opposition to the Moon or in her square, and the Moon applies to one of them, the beginning of that journey will be good.

[9] 若有吉星与月亮对冲或成四分，而月亮入相位于其中一颗，这趟出行的开头就好。

[10] If one of the malefics is in square with the Moon or in opposition to her, the beginning of that journey is bad; and if the benefics are mixed with them, an uneven return home is to be expected.

[10] 若有凶星与月亮成四分或对冲，这趟出行的开头就坏；若吉星与它们相混，回家的路会有起伏。
