XX. Chapter: On Debt and Its Repayment.

第二十章　论债务与偿还。

[1] If you take a loan or repay one, look from the Ascendant at the condition of the creditor to whom the debt is owed, and from the seventh at the condition of the debtor from whom the debt is claimed; the Midheaven, or Mercury and the Moon, signify what is lent, and the IC will show the outcome of the debt.

[1] 若你借债或还债，从上升看债主即被欠债一方的状况，从第七宫看被追债的欠债人的状况；中天，或水星与月亮，指所借出的东西，天底显示这笔债的结局。

The separation of the Moon is taken for the person of the lender and her application for the borrower, and the predictions follow accordingly from the planets that help or harm.

月亮的离相位代表放债人，入相位代表借债人，再据有益或有害的星依次作出预言。

If the Moon is unafflicted, the lender will recover what he lent.

若月亮未受克，放债人能收回所借出的东西。

[2] If the Moon is with the benefics or they regard her, while one of the malefics afflicts her, that debt will be repaid, but the borrower will fall into that debt again.

[2] 若月亮与吉星同在或被吉星照见，却又有凶星克她，这笔债会还清，但借债人还会再欠。

[3] If Mercury is with Saturn, or is harmed by him, there will be confusion and cunning or deceit in the repayment of that debt, and harm to the lender from the borrower.

[3] 若水星与土星同在，或被土星所伤，还债时会有混乱、诡计或欺诈，放债人会受借债人之害。

[4] If Mercury is with Mars, or Mars regards him from a strong place, the borrower will go back on that debt, and fighting, clamour, dispute, and accusations will enter between the two of them because of that debt.

[4] 若水星与火星同在，或火星从有力的位置照见他，借债人会对这笔债反悔，双方因此争斗、喧闹、纠纷、互相控告。

[5] If the Moon is under the beams of the Sun, take what I have described to you about looking at the condition and position of the Moon, and make your consideration from the Sun, its position, and its freedom from the malefics.

[5] 若月亮在太阳光束之下，就把我讲过的看月亮状况、位置的方法，改用在太阳上，看太阳的位置及其是否免于凶星。

[6] If the Moon is in the burnt place, that is, when the Moon is at the middle of the zone and of the line of the equator, heading toward the south, in the nodes or in her southern latitude; or if the Moon is in the first degrees of Leo, Gemini, or Sagittarius, or these degrees I have described are rising; and if Mercury is with Saturn, it is not suitable to lend anything at that time.

[6] 若月亮在焚烧之处，即月亮在黄带与平分线的正中、向南而行，处在交点或南纬；或月亮在狮子、双子、射手的头几度，或我说的这些度数正在上升；或水星与土星同在，这时都不宜放债。

[7] If you want to borrow, borrow when the Moon is in Leo, Pisces, Aquarius, Scorpio, or Sagittarius, decreasing in light and in her numbers, and Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury regard the Ascendant or the Moon.

[7] 若你想借债，就在月亮位于狮子、双鱼、水瓶、天蝎或射手，光与数值都在递减，而木星、金星、水星照见上升或月亮时去借。

[8] If they regard the Ascendant and the Moon together, it is stronger, and the loan too will be on fair terms.

[8] 若它们同时照见上升与月亮，就更有力，借贷也会公道。

If you wish to take a loan yourself, let it be thus, for it is better: let divine Selene be in Aquarius, in Scorpio, in Leo, or in the Fishes, or in the Archer, and let her light be deficient, and likewise her number.

若你自己想借债，要这样才更好：让神圣的塞勒涅在水瓶、天蝎、狮子，或在双鱼，或在射手，让她的光减缺，数值也一样。
