XIII. Chapter: If You Want to Free a Slave.

第十三章　论释放奴仆。

[1] Before anything else look at the condition of the Moon and her position in the places that I have explained to you.

[1] 首先要看月亮的状况，以及她在我给你讲过的那些位置中处于何处。

[2] If you find her clear of the misfortunes that I described at the beginning of my book, it is good.

[2] 若见她没有我在书首讲过的那些灾损，就好。

[3] Then look also at the application and the separation of the Moon: if he is freed at an hour when the Moon is separating from the benefics and applying to the malefics, the slavery in which that slave was is better for him than the freedom to which he has come.

[3] 然后还要看月亮的入相位与离相位：若在月亮离开吉星、入相位于凶星的时刻释放，那奴仆原先的奴役，对他来说比他得到的自由还好。

Slavery would be better for him even than freedom.

奴役对他来说，竟比自由还好。

[4] If it is contrary to what I have mentioned, judge the contrary; I mean, if you find the Moon separating from the malefics and applying to the benefics, it is good for that slave, for he will be saved from evil and misery and will meet with good and joy.

[4] 若与我说的相反，就作相反的判断；就是说，若见月亮离开凶星、入相位于吉星，对这奴仆是好的，他会脱离祸患与困苦，迎来好处与欢乐。

[5] Look into this matter from the four angles as well.

[5] 这件事也要从四个角来看。

[6] The Ascendant signifies the master of the slave, the seventh signifies the slave who is freed, the house of authority signifies the cause for which, and the one with whom, the slave is freed, and the house of the fathers signifies the outcome of that matter, what his continuing service and his gratitude will be.

[6] 上升指奴仆的主人，第七宫指被释放的奴仆，权位宫指释放的缘由以及在谁那里获释，父母宫指此事的结局——他此后的留侍与感恩会怎样。

The hemisphere above the earth and that below the earth must also be considered: the planets above the earth show what comes after the freedom, and those below the earth what happens in the freedom itself.

还要看地上与地下两个半球：地上的星显示获释以后的事，地下的星显示获释当时的事。

If one of the benefics is in the hemisphere above the earth, all that comes after the freedom is to be foretold as good, and years of life as well.

若有吉星在地上半球，获释以后的一切都可预言为好，寿数也好。

[7] Look: if the Moon is in the seventh place with the malefics, this signifies that the slave, even if he has escaped from slavery, will return to it.

[7] 要看：若月亮在第七宫与凶星同在，表示那奴仆即使脱离了奴役，也会再回去。

The Moon in the west, having a destroyer with her, would swiftly bring to ruin the one who has escaped the day of slavery.

月亮在西方，身边伴着毁灭者，会很快毁掉那逃出奴役之日的人。

[8] Look from the rest of the angles at the condition of what is attributed to each angle of them, in the way I have described to you, if God the Exalted wills.

[8] 其余各角所归属的事，照我给你讲的方法去看——若至高的真主意欲。
