XX. The Sub-Allotments of Saturn.

第二十章　土星的次分配。

Saturn, sub-allotting to himself, signifies troubles and inactivity, enmities and dishonour from greater or older persons, and he will be a hindrance to enterprises, or if the native does anything, it will be insecure. If he is also regarded by Mercury and Mars, the native will suffer false accusations on account of writings, lawsuits, upheavals of old affairs or of matters of death, or villainies and deceits, and will continue as though under the wrath of a god; but if benefics testify, he will be milder, and effective in some things, though slowly. — Saturn to the Sun brings danger or death of the father, if sickness is already present in him, and makes the year in suspense, with enmities and losses or lawsuits, pains of the sense organs, the recurrence of sufferings, and pettiness toward friends and members of the household; but if by day he happens to be well configured, natives will act with hindrances and expenditures, or will be benefited from a death. — Saturn to the Moon brings danger of the mother for those who have one; if not, of female persons; enmities and separations, harms and villainies, troubles of affairs and precarious movements, bodily sicknesses and long-lasting sufferings, troubles of the inward parts, afflictions of the sinews, faintings and darkenings of sight, and unexpected sufferings. — Saturn to Mars shows the year to be worst and dangerous; for it brings about sicknesses, plots, troubles, and dangers, deaths of one's own people, natives enduring troubles or lawsuits on behalf of their own people, ingratitude of friends, unsettledness of members of the household, defences in court, fears and enmities toward the great, and the death of the father for those who have one, or of older persons, and precarious or fruitless residences abroad. If somehow they fall badly, they also bring about shipwrecks, ruin, sufferings, and injuries; but if they are well configured in productive signs or receive testimony from benefics, most of the ailments will be scattered. — Saturn to Jupiter shows the period to be good and active; for natives receive inheritances or bequests, are benefited by older persons or matters of the dead, and become masters of foundations or possessions. Some also make acquisitions from moist things, or are shipowners, or make purchases of ships, and build up or pull down, and, setting old affairs right, are adorned in their livelihood. But if somehow Mars or Mercury testifies as well, they will endure lawsuits or disputes and make untimely expenditures. — Saturn to Venus brings separations from wives or natives wronged by women; some also witness deaths and are unsettled in their partnerships and entanglements. Others are plotted against or have experience of poisons, endure troubles of the inward parts, fall into sicknesses, chills, and attacks of fluxes, and meet with adversities, lawsuits, and new undertakings. If the nativity is found to be a woman's, she will live painfully, especially if she is pregnant; and she will be at odds with her husband's friends. — Saturn to Mercury brings disputes over old or secret affairs, over money or reckonings, giving and receiving, hindrances and losses in what is undertaken, betrayals and enmities; natives also witness the deaths of their own people, become very learned and curious in these periods, fall into sureties and loans, and are troubled on account of writings, according to whether the configuration of the chart is fitting for them or alien; for in square or opposition they are worst and ruinous; for they also bring fears and troubles through occasions connected with the dead.

XXI. The Sub-Allotments of Jupiter.

第二十一章　木星的次分配。

Jupiter, sub-allotting to himself, makes the period good and active, with benefits from friends, gifts, success in affairs, trusts, stewardships, recommendations of the great, and the begetting of children; but if somehow he is regarded by Mars, he foretells reversals and untimely expenditures. — Jupiter, sub-allotting to the Sun, shows the period to be brilliant and acquisitive, and productive of introductions to superior persons, and brings popular successes, offices, and advancements, and deems natives worthy of honours and crowns, and is a clear sign of commands, generalships, and a fortune of authority, according to the rank and the position of the chart. For moderate natives, undertakings, release from evils, and freedom, beneficial recommendations, changes, and sympathetic friendships, the begetting of children, the acquisition of slaves, and especially when he is diurnal and well configured. — Jupiter to Saturn produces movements in suspense, expenditures, and disobedience of members of the household, and in some cases deaths, changes of place and of affairs, insecure partnerships, enmities of friends, natives succeeding in their undertakings with difficulty or after postponement, making petitions and requests, and being in trouble. — Jupiter to Mars: the year is harmful and troubled, holding enmities toward superiors, slanders, condemnations, and betrayals, dangerous residences abroad and precarious diseases, climacterics or deaths of one's own people, reversals of livelihood, and expenditures. But if the nativity is found to be public or military and the configuration happens to be good, it brings about recommendations and advancements with expenditures, gifts and promises, though natives live in fear or under suspicion. — Jupiter to Venus is beneficial and acquisitive, bringing charm, recommendations, and gifts, natives benefited by or through women and involved in liaisons, entanglements, and friendships, and for the unmarried marriage, and for the married conception or the begetting of children. In glorious nativities it brings about the wearing of crowns, distinguished ranks, civic offices, gifts to the crowds, greater advancements and presidencies, and acquisitions of slaves and ornaments. — Jupiter to Mercury is active and profitable, bringing releases from affairs, and is beneficial for those who live by words, reckonings, or writings; it brings partnerships and friendships of the great, gifts or deeds of conveyance, and natives benefited from deposits or finds; hence they also make purchases of slaves and become lovers of beauty. Some are also promoted, especially if they happen to be well placed; but in general they are slandered among the crowds and troubled, or endure notoriety, especially when badly configured, or when opposed by malefics, or present with them, or squared by them; they endure no ordinary contest and live in fear. — Jupiter to the Moon shows the period to be successful and acquisitive, with recommendations and benefits from women and greater persons, glories, offices, and presidencies, release from dangers, acquisition of ornaments or slaves, conception or the begetting of children, entanglements with women, gifts and deeds of conveyance, and benefaction from the mother for those who have one. If the configuration happens to be good, natives will also become masters of deposits, or it makes them finders of treasure, wealthy, giving thanks to god, and released from harm or slavery.

XXII. The Sub-Allotments of Mars.

第二十二章　火星的次分配。

Mars, sub-allotting to himself when diurnal, will be unpleasant and troubled; for he brings enmities, harms, abuses in public affairs, or natives spending on public matters; some, then, are abused or held in confinement by generals or persons of authority. By night he is not bad, but successful and beneficial, especially if he is in the productive signs, and especially for those who pursue the actions of Mars, or public and military ones.

火星作为昼方之星把次分配给自己时，会不愉快而困扰；因为他带来敌意、伤害、在公共事务上的凌辱，或本命者为公共之事花钱；于是有些人受将帅或有权柄之人的凌辱，或被拘押。在夜里他并不坏，反而成功而有益，尤其若他在得力的星座，尤其对那些从事火星之业，或公共与军旅之事的人。

Mars, handing over to the Sun, brings danger of the father for those who have one; if not, of one like a father; it brings about enmities of the great and separations from friends, precarious diseases and pains of the sense organs, and danger from fire, from a height, or from four-footed animals, haemorrhages, cuttings, and collapses, and brings envies and disputes and fearful residences abroad. But if somehow they happen to be in productive signs or receive testimony from benefics, it brings undertakings, benefits, and glories, and recommendations of superiors, with fears, troubles, and plots, and makes natives envied and hindered in their undertakings.

火星交给太阳，对有父亲的人带来父亲的危险；若没有，则是如父之人的危险；它带来大人物的敌意与朋友的离别、不稳的疾病与感官的疼痛，来自火、高处或四足牲畜的危险，出血、割伤与倒塌，并带来嫉妒与争执，以及令人恐惧的客居异乡。但若它们以某种方式在得力的星座，或受吉星见证，就带来事业、利益与荣耀，以及上位者的推荐，伴着恐惧、困扰与阴谋，使本命者受嫉妒，在事业上受阻碍。

Mars to the Moon is perilous and dangerous, holding unsettledness, confinements, lawsuits, and fears, precarious residences abroad or attacks and abuses from foreigners, danger of the mother or of female persons, quarrels and separations, and is troublesome toward the crowd or the city; it also brings sicknesses and haemorrhages or falls, the recurrence of sufferings, or danger from fire, and shipwrecks. Above all, if the nativity is diurnal and the Moon happens to be increasing in light and they fall badly, the things written above will turn out still worse, and further dimness of sight, wounds, fractures of limbs, pains of the eyes, and injuries. But if they happen to receive testimony from benefics in productive places, they bring about fearful undertakings and advancements; and for women it brings bodily dangers, haemorrhages, miscarriages or the cutting up of the embryo, and pains of the natural places.

火星交给月亮，是凶险而危险的，含有不安定、拘禁、诉讼与恐惧、不稳的客居异乡或来自外邦人的攻击与凌辱、母亲或女性之人的危险、争吵与离别，对众人或城邦也令人困扰；它还带来疾病与出血或跌落、苦痛的复发，或来自火的危险，以及船难。尤其若本命是昼生，月亮又恰在增光，而它们落得不好，上面所写的事会更坏，此外还有视力昏暗、创伤、肢体骨折、眼痛与伤损。但若它们恰在得力的位置受吉星见证，就带来令人恐惧的事业与晋升；对女人则带来身体的危险、出血、流产或剖割胎儿，以及生殖部位的疼痛。

Mars to Saturn shows the year to be worst and turbulent; for natives come into lawsuits and abuses, losses and rejections, see dangers or deaths and ruin of their own people, fall into violent and troubled affairs, harmful and grievous residences abroad, or raids of robbers, sicknesses and sudden dangers, uprisings of enemies, and wrongs or griefs from slaves; coming near to confinement and fears or defences in court, they will be grievously disposed, unless somehow, happening to be in their own signs or receiving testimony from benefics, they meet the ailments only superficially.

火星交给土星，显示这一年最坏而动荡；因为本命者陷入诉讼与凌辱、损失与被拒绝，看见自己人的危险或死亡与毁败，陷入暴烈而困扰的事务、有害而令人忧伤的客居异乡，或盗匪的袭击、疾病与突然的危险、仇敌的起事、来自奴仆的不公或忧伤；他们临近拘禁与恐惧或在法庭上答辩，会处境悲苦，除非它们以某种方式恰在自己的星座，或受吉星见证，那样他们遭遇病患只是擦过而已。

Mars to Jupiter shows the year to be good and active, bringing successes or benefits and recommendations of the great, good hopes, and the fulfilment of what is expected; and if the native has a relation to military service, such a one will enlist or advance. Those in greater fortune will become distinguished in commands and glories, will make changes of place for the good, and will be adorned in the substance about them, having first been amid reversals and expenditures. If he happens to be in opposition, he is indicative of adversities and loss.

火星交给木星，显示这一年良好而有作为，带来成功或利益与大人物的推荐、良好的希望与所期待之事的实现；若本命者与兵役有关，这样的人会入伍或晋升。有较大好运的人会在统领与荣耀上显赫，向好的方向迁移，并在周身的家业上增光，虽然先前经历了起伏与开销。若他恰在对冲，就象征逆境与损失。

Mars to Venus brings enmities and separations of female persons, unsettledness of members of the household, and the death of the mother for those who have one, or else of women, liaisons and adulteries, friendships that do not last, and public exposures. And if they have some sympathy, natives will suffer coolings and will be carried about unsteadily in their undertakings, while women, coming into haemorrhages or miscarriages, live in danger.

火星交给金星，带来女性之人的敌意与离别、家人的不安定，对有母亲的人是母亲之死，否则是女人之死，情缘与通奸、不持久的友谊与公开的丑闻。若它们有某种同情，本命者会遭受冷却，在事业中被带得摇摆不定，而女人则陷入出血或流产，活在危险中。

Mars, handing over to Mercury, shows the year to be troubled; for it holds dangers and losses on account of writings, disputes over money or reckonings, villainies concerning secrets, sureties and debts, attacks and defences in court; and if they happen to be in bicorporeal signs, natives will themselves do the like to others or act recklessly. If the three releases are preserved, they will prevail over the things mentioned; but if those too happen to be bad, they will be unsteady in what they undertake, and if they have a lawsuit, they will be defeated, or, having endured very great diminution, will be overturned by no ordinary ailments.

火星交给水星，显示这一年困扰；因为它含有因文书而来的危险与损失、关于钱财或计算的争执、涉及秘事的奸恶、担保与债务、攻击与在法庭上答辩；若它们恰在双体星座，本命者自己也会对别人做同样的事，或行事轻率。若三种释放得以保全，他们会胜过上述诸事；但若那些也恰好不好，他们在所从事的事上就摇摆不定，若有官司，就会败诉，或经受极大的减损之后，被不寻常的病患倾覆。
