For the diagnosis of the foregoing we shall use examples, setting first a distinguished nativity. Let the Sun be in Scorpio, the Moon in Cancer, Saturn in Aquarius, Jupiter in Sagittarius, Mars in Scorpio, Venus in Libra, Mercury in Scorpio, the Ascendant in Libra. Since, then, the nativity is nocturnal, I look for the Moon; she happens to be in Cancer, in trine with Mars. Mars we found succedent, in his own house and triplicity and in his own sect; then his partner, Venus, in the Ascendant in her own house; third, the Moon at the Midheaven in her own house. It is clear, then, that the nativity is glorious, since the rulers are suitably configured. Seeking the Lot as well, I found it in Aquarius; upon it is Saturn, its lord, in Good Fortune, in his own house and triplicity. Likewise Jupiter occupies the 11th from the Lot of Fortune, that is, the acquisitive sign. I also took the exaltation of the nativity, which from the Moon to Taurus comes to 11, and the equal amount from the Ascendant in Libra; the count ended in Leo, in the Good Daemon. Its lord is the Sun, who was found at the Midheaven relative to the Lot of Fortune, and he made the nativity more brilliant and more glorious.

Another. The Sun and Mercury in Taurus, the Moon in Aries, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and the Ascendant in Cancer, Jupiter in Virgo, the Lot of Fortune and the exaltation of the nativity in Gemini. From a middling condition the native was raised up and attained command and generalship. For since the nativity is diurnal, I found the Sun in the triplicity of the Moon, the Moon and her partners Venus and Mars angular, the Lot of Fortune and the exaltation in Gemini, in a cadent place (hence his early years too were middling), and their lord in the Good Daemon.

另一例。太阳与水星在金牛，月亮在白羊，土星、火星、金星与上升点在巨蟹，木星在处女，福点与本命的旺点在双子。本命者从中等的境况被抬高，获得了统领之职与将军之职。因为本命是昼间的，我发现太阳在月亮的三方，月亮与她的伙伴星金星与火星都居角，福点与旺点在双子，在果宫（所以他的早年也是中等的），而它们的主在善灵之位。

Another. The Sun, Mars, Venus, and Mercury in Aquarius, the Moon and Jupiter in Scorpio, Saturn in Aries, the Ascendant in Leo. This nativity too came from a lowly and middling fortune to a fortune of command and authority. For since the nativity is diurnal, we found the Sun in the triplicity of Saturn, and Saturn in the cadent place, whence the early years were middling, but his partner Mercury angular. We also found the Lot of Fortune in Taurus and the exaltation in Libra, and their lady at the Midheaven relative to the Lot, and angular in the other reckoning as well.

另一例。太阳、火星、金星与水星在水瓶，月亮与木星在天蝎，土星在白羊，上升在狮子。这个本命也从卑微而中等的境遇，走到统领与掌权的境遇。因为本命是昼间的，我们发现太阳在土星的三方，而土星在果宫，所以早年是中等的，但他的伙伴星水星居角。我们也发现福点在金牛，旺点在天秤，而它们的女主人在以福点而论的中天，按另一种算法也居角。

Another. The Sun and Mercury in Taurus, the Moon in Aquarius, Saturn and Venus in Aries, Jupiter in Virgo, Mars in Pisces, the Ascendant in Leo. We found the Sun in the triplicity of Venus and the Moon, and Venus in a cadent place. In his early years, then, the native was toil-worn and lowly; but since the Moon was found angular, he later rose in military ranks that brought advancement. Likewise the Lot of Fortune was found in Taurus and the exaltation in Cancer; its lady, the Moon, was found at the Midheaven relative to the Lot, whence he also came to very great fortune and to command. In the acquisitive place Mars was found [lacuna] possessions from robbery, embezzlement, and violence, which after his death were wretchedly plundered.

Another. The Sun, Mercury, Saturn, and Jupiter in Sagittarius, the Moon in Cancer, Mars in Virgo, Venus and the Ascendant in Libra. Since the nativity is nocturnal, we found the Moon in the triplicity of Mars, and Mars himself cadent, as well as the Lot and its lord; hence in his early years the native lived lowly and in want, experienced captivity and servitude, and was overturned by many dangers. But since the sect-partners were in productive places, he came into friendships and introductions and took on royal offices of trust. Thereafter, since the exaltation was found in Leo and its lord, the Sun, was at the Midheaven relative to the Lot, he was deemed worthy of a command and a post of authority.

Another. The Sun and Venus in Capricorn, the Moon and Mercury in Sagittarius, Saturn in Scorpio, Jupiter in Libra, Mars in Aquarius, Fortune in Aries, the Ascendant in Taurus. This nativity too passed its beginnings unevenly and middlingly, but was later raised up and shared in crowns and the high priesthood. For the lords of the triplicity were found in a succedent place, while the third lord of the triplicity, who is also lord of the Lot, was at the Midheaven; likewise the lord of the exaltation was at the Midheaven relative to the Lot, and the lord of the Daemon [probably: Jupiter, was angular to the Lot] [lacuna]

另一例。太阳与金星在摩羯，月亮与水星在射手，土星在天蝎，木星在天秤，火星在水瓶，福点在白羊，上升在金牛。这个本命也是开头起伏而中等，后来被抬高，分得了花冠与大祭司之职。因为三方的主星被发现在续宫，而三方的第三位主星，也是福点之主，在中天；同样，旺点之主在以福点而论的中天，而精灵点之主〔或当作「木星，对福点居角」〕〔此处原文有缺〕

Another. The Sun and Mercury in Cancer, the Moon in Taurus, Saturn in Pisces, Jupiter and Mars in Leo, Venus in Virgo, the Ascendant in Libra. This nativity too became brilliant and distinguished: the native was entrusted with a kingdom and deemed worthy of the high priesthood. For the lord of the triplicity was found together with the lord of the Daemon in the Good Daemon, and with the Lot of Fortune; the Sun, who had been allotted Fortune, at the Midheaven; and the lady of the exaltation, the Moon, at the Midheaven relative to the Lot. His acquisition, however, was uneven and unstable, at times superabundant, at times wanting; for Saturn and Venus testified to the place.

Another. The Sun, Jupiter, Mars, and Venus in Scorpio, Saturn in Libra, the Moon in Aries, Mercury in Sagittarius, the Ascendant in Leo. The lord of the exaltation, Mercury, in Sagittarius, was found at the Midheaven relative to the Lot and exalted the nativity with regard to livelihood. Likewise the lords of the triplicity and of the Lot, being found in the IC, made the native a guardian of treasure, but without ambition for glory and close-fisted.

另一例。太阳、木星、火星与金星在天蝎，土星在天秤，月亮在白羊，水星在射手，上升在狮子。旺点之主水星在射手，被发现在以福点而论的中天，使本命在生计上高升。同样，三方之主与福点之主被发现在天底，使本命者成为宝库的看守者，但不爱荣耀，又吝啬。

Another. The Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, the Moon in Aquarius, Saturn in Leo, Mars and Venus in Cancer, Jupiter in Virgo, the Ascendant in Sagittarius. Since the nativity is nocturnal, the lords of the triplicity, Saturn and Mercury, are cadent; hence the native suffered many reversals in his early years and lived in debt, although his parents' substance was good. Thereafter, having later obtained an inheritance and increased his livelihood from resources that brought advancement [text uncertain], he became ambitious for glory, fit to rule, and generous with gifts, pleasing to the crowd and a friend of kings and governors; he built temples and public works and obtained everlasting remembrance. For the Lot of Fortune and the exaltation were found in Pisces, and their lord, Jupiter, at the Midheaven.

Another. The Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, the Moon in Aries, Saturn in Virgo, Jupiter in Pisces, Mars in Leo, Venus and the Ascendant in Sagittarius. While the native was still an infant, he inherited very great substance; for the acquisitive place was found in Pisces, with Jupiter in his own place, while Venus, partner of the triplicity and lady of the Lot and of the exaltation, was in the Ascendant by degree.

另一例。太阳与水星在天蝎，月亮在白羊，土星在处女，木星在双鱼，火星在狮子，金星与上升点在射手。本命者还是婴儿时就继承了极多的家产；因为获取之位被发现在双鱼，木星在自己的位置，而三方的伙伴星金星，也是福点与旺点的女主人，按度数就在上升点。

Another. The Sun and Mercury in Capricorn, the Moon and Saturn in Sagittarius, Jupiter in Cancer, Mars in Virgo, Venus in Aquarius, the Ascendant in Libra. The lords of the triplicity were found angular, but opposing each other; hence the native, having been well brought up at first and having prospered, was later found fallen and in want by reason of a conflagration and robbery; for the lord of the Lot, Mars, was found in the acquisitive place, cadent and receiving testimony from Saturn.

另一例。太阳与水星在摩羯，月亮与土星在射手，木星在巨蟹，火星在处女，金星在水瓶，上升在天秤。三方之主被发现居角，但彼此对冲；所以本命者起初受到良好的教养，也曾富足，后来却因一场火灾与抢劫而跌落、陷入匮乏；因为福点之主火星被发现在获取之位，在果宫，又受土星的见证。

Another. The Sun, Venus, and the Ascendant in Taurus, the Moon in Aquarius, Saturn in Cancer, Jupiter in Libra, Mars and Mercury in Gemini. In his early years the native had great display, undertakings, and civic offices of trust; for the lords of the triplicity happened to be angular. Later, however, brought down in his livelihood, he became a wanderer; for Mars and Mercury opposed the acquisition, and the lords of the Lot and of the acquisitive place are cadent.

另一例。太阳、金星与上升点在金牛，月亮在水瓶，土星在巨蟹，木星在天秤，火星与水星在双子。本命者早年有大的排场、事业与民政上的受托之职；因为三方之主恰好居角。但后来他在生计上被拉下来，成了漂泊者；因为火星与水星对冲获取，而福点之主与获取之位之主都在果宫。

Another. The Sun and Mercury in Gemini, the Moon in Capricorn, Saturn and Mars in Aquarius, Venus and the Ascendant in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio. This native, born a slave and then entering into a family, took on civic offices and sought glory; for the lords of the Sun's triplicity, of the Lot, and of the exaltation were found suitably placed and receiving testimony from Jupiter, while Mars, Saturn, and Mercury had fallen out of the favourable places; therefore they diminished his livelihood and made him a debtor.

另一例。太阳与水星在双子，月亮在摩羯，土星与火星在水瓶，金星与上升点在巨蟹，木星在天蝎。这个本命者生而为奴，后来进入一个家族，担任民政官职，追求荣耀；因为太阳三方之主、福点之主与旺点之主都被发现位置相宜，并受木星的见证，而火星、土星与水星已经失位；所以它们减少了他的生计，使他负债。

This native became a eunuch, a distinguished priest of a goddess; for the lord of the Lot happened to be in Scorpio, the place of the God, while the lords of the sect, Saturn and Mercury, were found in the Good Daemon, but in opposition; hence he also fell into very many troubles and diminutions and had to defend himself before governors and kings.

另一例。太阳在水瓶，月亮与木星在天蝎，土星在巨蟹，火星、金星与水星在摩羯，上升在双鱼。这个本命者成了阉人，一位女神的出众的祭司；因为福点之主恰好在天蝎，即神之位，而本方之主土星与水星被发现在善灵之位，却彼此对冲；所以他也陷入极多的纷扰与减损，还要在总督与君王面前为自己辩护。
