XIII. The Third Place, of the Goddess Moon.

第十三章　第三宫，月亮女神之位。

If the Moon happens to be in this sign, having been allotted the Ascendant or the Lot, and is in her own face, the native will be great and will be lord of many good things: he will rule a city, give orders to many, be listened to, and be lord of treasures. If the Sun is present with her and she has made her rising, the native will be a priest or priestess of a very great goddess and will have a livelihood that never falls short. If Saturn is present with the Moon, the native will be under the wrath of the gods, subject to losses, often coming before judges, and he will blaspheme the gods much on account of the things that befall him. If Jupiter is present with her, he will be a prophet, fortunate, rich, glorious, and will be lord of many good things. If Mars is present with the Moon, he will be active but impious and will make away with deposits entrusted to him; hence he will gather his livelihood from the property of others, or from murders or robbers, and he will live much abroad. If Mars is suitably placed in his own faces, then, in keeping with the division of the nativity, the native will be a general over lands and cities, unjust, a perjurer, covetous of what belongs to others, and he will perish suddenly through the anger of the authorities.

If Venus, in her own places, has power over the place of the goddess and over the Lot of Fortune, especially in a nocturnal nativity, the native will be rich and will enjoy the goodwill of a woman; some become royal officials, rulers, administrators of cities, because the goddess has shared in the allotment of Fortune in the house of the goddess. If Mercury is present with the Moon in the sign of the goddess and is lord of the Lot of Fortune or of the Ascendant, the native will foretell the future to all and will have a share in the mysteries of the gods.

若金星在自己的位置，掌握了女神之位与福点，尤其在夜生的本命中，本命者会富有，并得到一个女人的好意；有些人成为王室官员、统治者、城市的管理者，因为女神在女神之家里一同分得了福点。若水星在女神的星座与月亮同在，又是福点或上升点之主，本命者会向众人预言未来，并参与诸神的秘仪。

XIV. The Second Place Is Called the Gate of Hades.

As for the place succedent to the Ascendant: in this sign the benefics will confer no benefit, while the malefics make natives sluggish, prone to injury, and unable to swim through life to its end. If the Lot is in this sign while the malefics rule the Lot or the Ascendant, natives become guardians of the dead, spending their lives outside the gate. Saturn, when he is lord of the Lot of Fortune and is present in this place, makes natives dead in soul, sickly, and experiencing bonds for a considerable time, until they complete the years of the planet. Jupiter, present in the place, brings about the spending of one's possessions to the very end, so that nothing is left to the native; he grants children, however, but not fortunately. Mars, present in the place, if he rules the Lot or the Ascendant, makes natives prone to stumbling, subject to losses, and impeded; some also become captives and are restored again. If, while in his own degrees or signs, he has been allotted the Lot of Fortune when it is present in this same sign, natives become jailers, earning their livelihood from the prison, or living out their lives in prisons. If the Sun is present in the sign and rules the Lot or the Ascendant, being in his own house or in the places of Saturn, the native will lose his sight in the periods of Mars, will be deprived of his patrimony, and will beg. If Venus is present in the sign and rules the Lot or the Ascendant, she will produce public and disgraceful occupations, provided she is in her morning rising. If Mercury is present in the sign and is under the beams of the Sun, he makes natives senseless and illiterate; if he is also lord of the second fortune, which is called the Daemon, he makes them deaf or dumb; if he is oriental, natives become meddlesome, attempting things they have not learned, yet successful in their studies. If the Moon is present in the sign while Saturn is in the Ascendant, the reverse occurs: natives will suffer cataracts of the sight or their eyes will turn glaucous.

The God signifies concerning the father, the Goddess concerning the mother, the Good Daemon concerning children, Good Fortune concerning marriage, the Bad Daemon concerning sufferings, Bad Fortune concerning injuries, the Lot of Fortune and the Ascendant concerning life and livelihood, the Daemon concerning intelligence, the Midheaven concerning action, Eros concerning desire, Necessity concerning enemies.

神主父亲之事，女神主母亲之事，善灵主子女之事，好运主婚姻之事，恶灵主病痛之事，厄运主伤损之事，福点与上升点主生命与生计之事，精灵点主心智之事，中天主事业之事，爱欲主欲望之事，必然主仇敌之事。
