XIV. The Moon in the Place of Fortune.

第十四章　月亮在幸运之宫

[1] If the Moon has been found in the place of Fortune and is so placed that it is moving toward Jupiter or is with it, it decrees generalships, administrations, glory, and good fortune. If it has been placed with Venus in this place, or is moving toward Venus, it bestows the honors we have mentioned together with grace and charm.

〔一〕倘若月亮被发现在幸运之宫，而它这样落位，以致正行向木星，或与它同在，就判定将领之职、行政之职、荣耀与好运。倘若它在这个宫位与金星同在，或正行向金星，就赐予我们所说的那些荣誉，并伴以优雅与魅力。

[2] But if, placed in this place and waxing in light, it is moving toward Mercury, or if it is with it, it makes men blessed, powerful, and exceedingly sagacious, and men who through the good fortune of their talent or the grace of their learning attain honors, glory, rank, and substance of patrimony. But if, placed in this place and waning, it is moving toward Mercury or is with it, it decrees ailments, defects, malice, and malignity.

〔二〕但倘若它落在这个宫位、光正盈长，而行向水星，或与它同在，就使人有福、有权势、极其聪敏，凭才华的好运或学问的优雅得到荣誉、荣耀、官阶与祖产资财。但倘若它落在这个宫位而光亏，行向水星或与它同在，就判定病患、缺损、恶意与阴毒。

[3] But if, placed in this place in a day nativity, it is moving toward Mars or is with it, it will make men toiling and wretched, who seek the sustenance of their daily life from fire, or from iron, or from some heavy load; but if, placed in this place in a night nativity, it is moving toward Mars, or if it is with it, it decrees military service, glory, power, and preeminence in these activities; it also makes athletes, according to the quality of the signs, but men who are preferred to the rest by the merit of their excellence.

〔三〕但倘若它在白天的本命盘里落在这个宫位，行向火星或与它同在，就会使人劳苦而困苦，从火、或铁、或某种重负中谋求每日生活的给养；但倘若它在夜间的本命盘里落在这个宫位，行向火星，或与它同在，就判定兵役、荣耀、权力，以及在这些事务上的首位；它还按星座的性质造就运动员，却是凭出众之功而胜过其余人的人。

[4] If, placed in this place in a night nativity and waxing in light, it is moving toward Saturn or is with it, it will diminish the father's and the mother's patrimony, it makes the mother either a widow, or afflicted with ailment or defect, or perishing by an evil death, and the natives themselves wretched and toiling in the first stage of life, but fortunate as life goes on.

〔四〕倘若它在夜间的本命盘里落在这个宫位、光正盈长，而行向土星或与它同在，就会减少父亲与母亲的祖产，使母亲或成寡妇、或受病患缺损之苦、或恶死，并使本命之人自己在人生的第一阶段困苦劳碌，但随着一生推移而幸运。

[5] But if by day, waxing in light, it is moving toward Saturn or is with it, it will cause the native to be quickly bereaved by the death of his parents, and compels the patrimony to be squandered in wretched dismemberments, but to the natives themselves too both good fortune and increases of patrimony are granted in the course of life. And by night, waning in light, it decrees these same things in a like manner; but if by day, placed in this place with diminished light, it is moving toward Saturn or is with it, it decrees defects and ailments and the misfortunes of an evil death and of confiscation.

〔五〕但倘若在白天光正盈长，它行向土星或与它同在，就会使本命之人很快因父母之死而成孤儿，并迫使祖产在可悲的分割中被挥霍，但随着一生的进程，本命之人自己也会得到好运与祖产的增长。在夜间光亏时，它以相同的方式判定同样的事；但倘若在白天落在这个宫位而光减，行向土星或与它同在，就判定缺损、病患，以及恶死与籍没的不幸。

[6] But if the place of Fortune has been found in the tenth place from the Ascendant, that is, in the Midheaven, or in the eleventh, in which place the degree of the Midheaven is very frequently found, and the Moon, waxing in light, has been found there and is so moving toward Saturn, or if it is with it, and the Sun is placed partilely in the Ascendant, it makes men fortunate, blessed, glorious, noble, and decrees the insignia of the greatest power, but it makes these same men entangled in defects and ailments.

〔六〕但倘若幸运之宫被发现在从上升点起的第十宫，即中天，或在第十一宫——中天之度极常落在这个宫位——而光正盈长的月亮被发现在那里，并这样行向土星，或与它同在，太阳又精确地落在上升点，就会使人幸运、有福、荣耀、高贵，判给极大权力的徽章，却使这些人陷入缺损与病患。

[7] But what it decrees if the Sun has not been placed in the Ascendant, and the Moon itself is moving toward Saturn or is with it, we have shown in the explanation above. But if, placed in this place in a day nativity, waxing in light, it is moving toward the Sun or is with it, it will produce powerful and influential men, administrators, and judges; and if Jupiter has joined itself to them in some association, it bestows imperial power.

〔七〕但倘若太阳没有落在上升点，而月亮自己行向土星或与它同在，它判定什么，我们已在上面的解释中说明了。但倘若它在白天的本命盘里落在这个宫位、光正盈长，而行向太阳或与它同在，就会产生有权势而有影响力的人、行政官与法官；倘若木星以某种结伴与它们相结，就赐予帝王之权。

[8] But if, waning in light and placed in this place in a day nativity, it is moving toward the Sun, it bestows power, glory, and administrations in the course of time. But if by night, waning in light, it is moving toward the Sun in the place of Fortune or is with it, it will make men lowly in the first stage of life and men who are always deceived, but in the course of time they will attain patrimonies, glory, honors, and the greatest preeminence.

〔八〕但倘若它光亏而在白天的本命盘里落在这个宫位，行向太阳，就随着时间推移赐予权力、荣耀与行政之职。但倘若在夜间光亏，它在幸运之宫行向太阳或与它同在，就会使人在人生的第一阶段低微、总是受骗，但随着时间推移会得到祖产、荣耀、荣誉与极大的首位。

[9] But always, if the Moon, both in this place and in the other places of the nativity and in the other signs, has been found in the same degree with the Sun and has not freed itself entirely from association with the Sun, it will entangle the natives in dangerous and lowly actions in the first stage of life; but in the course of life, after grave losses, it bestows resources of substance.

〔九〕但总是这样：倘若月亮无论在这个宫位、还是在本命的其他宫位与其他星座里，被发现与太阳同在一度，而没有完全摆脱与太阳的结伴，就会使本命之人在人生的第一阶段陷入危险而低微的事务；但随着一生推移，在严重的损失之后，赐予资财。

[10] And in all nativities it will be fitting for you to observe the course of the Moon; and not only on the same day on which the man, when born, takes his first steps into the light, but we ought also to inquire with careful method on the third day, to which planet the Moon joins itself, or by what kind of aspect, or from which planet it is separating and toward which it is moving; for on that day nourishing food is first milked into the newborn man. It must therefore be inquired on the third day whether it is waning or full of light, and to what extent the benefic and malefic planets aspect it. For on the third day, just as on the first, it decrees everything in a like manner; and if these things have been gathered by careful inquiry, we shall never be able to be thrown into confusion by wandering error in explaining the fates of men; and this treatise, so that nothing may seem to have been passed over by us, we explain at the beginning of the fourth book.

〔十〕在一切本命盘中，你都应当观察月亮的运行；不仅是在人出生、初踏进光明的那同一天，我们还应当以细致的方法在第三天探究：月亮与哪颗行星相结，或以哪种相位相结，或从哪颗行星离开、正行向哪颗；因为在那一天，滋养的食物第一次被哺给新生的人。所以必须在第三天探究它是光亏还是光满，以及吉星与凶星在多大程度上照着它。因为在第三天，正如在第一天，它以相同的方式判定一切；倘若这些都经细致的探究汇集起来，我们在解释人的命运时就永远不会被漂泊的谬误搅乱；这一论题，为了不显得我们遗漏了什么，我们在第四卷的开头加以解释。
