XXIII. Chapter: On Buying Ships and Building Them.

第二十三章　论买船与造船。

In the joint purchase or the building of a ship, the stern is to be assigned to the rising, the mast and the middle parts of the ship to the Midheaven, the prow to the setting, and the keel and what is around it to the place under the earth; and in whatever part the malefics are found when the chart is cast, one must reckon that the ship will be damaged in that part.

合买或建造船只时，船尾归上升，桅杆与船身中段归中天，船头归下降，龙骨及其周围归地下之位；起盘时凶星落在哪一部分，就要推断船的那一部分会受损。

[1] If you want to buy a ship or build it, you should begin that when Jupiter or Venus is in the angle of the house of the fathers, or testifies to that place, and they also regard the Ascendant and the Moon.

[1] 若你想买船或造船，应当在木星或金星位于父母宫之角，或为那个位置作证，并且也照见上升与月亮时开始。

[2] The best of that is when they are in the house of the fathers in a sign of moist nature, one of the watery signs, or a sign whose nature is that of sea creatures, or one of the houses of Jupiter and Venus.

[2] 其中最好的是：它们在父母宫，而那是湿性的星座、水象星座之一，或是具有海中生物之性的星座，或是木星、金星的庙。

[3] The best of that is that the Ascendant be Taurus with the Moon in it; or Gemini, or Cancer, or Virgo, or Sagittarius, or Capricorn in its last degrees, with the Moon in it; for the beginning of Capricorn is of the land and its end of the sea.

[3] 其中最好的是：上升为金牛而月亮在其中；或双子、巨蟹、处女、射手，或摩羯的末几度，而月亮在其中；因为摩羯的开头属陆，末尾属海。

[4] If the Ascendant is Pisces with the Moon in it, that is also good; and the best of these signs that I have mentioned is Taurus, then Pisces, then Gemini, then the end of Capricorn.

[4] 若上升为双鱼而月亮在其中，也好；我所说的这些星座中，最好的是金牛，其次双鱼，再次双子，再次摩羯的末段。
