[1] I. When a native is born, the lord of the year is the lord of the house in which the native was born.

[1] 第一章。人出生时，年主就是他出生时所在之宫（上升星座）的主。

[2] Likewise, count from the Ascendant one year for each sign until you come to the year you want, and the lord of that year is the lord of that house.

[2] 同样，从上升起每个星座算一年，数到你要的那一年，那个宫的主就是这一年的年主。

[3] Look at the lord of that sign: whether it is a benefic or a malefic, how its position was in the root nativity and in which foundation it was; whether it regards the sign, whether it is oriental and increasing in its numbers, whether it is in its own places, that is, its terms, house, triplicity, or exaltation, and which planets regard it, both in the nativity and by transit.

[3] 看那个星座之主：是吉星还是凶星，在本命盘中位置如何、落在哪一宫；它是否照见那个星座，是否东出、数值是否增加，是否在自己的位置——即自己的界、庙、三方或旺；在诞生盘与行经中各有哪些行星照见它。

[4] From the root nativity is known what will be at the beginning of the year; and the beginning of the year is always when the Sun enters the first minute in which it was on the day the native was born.

[4] 由本命盘可知一年之初的情形；而一年之初总是太阳进入此人出生那天所在的那一分时。

[5] If the lord of the sign is occidental, hardship befalls the native.

[5] 若那个星座之主西入，此人会遭艰难。

[6] Likewise if the planet is under the light of the Sun and retrograde.

[6] 若这颗星在太阳光下又逆行，也一样。

[7] If the planet is under the beams of the Sun but increasing in its numbers and not decreasing, it is good for him and favourable; for planets in their own thrones rejoice even when they are under the beams.

[7] 若这颗星虽在太阳光束下，却数值增加而不减少，对他有利、是好的；因为行星在自己的座上，即使在光束下也欢喜。

Planets in conjunction with the Sun are strengthened by their share in the Sun's light, but they render their effects at later times.

与太阳相合的行星，因分享太阳的光而得力，但要到较晚的时候才发挥作用。

[8] So said the first scholars of the people of Babylon and Egypt: if the Sun or the Moon regards that sign from the triplicity of the sign in which it is — if it is so, they said, then it is best that the planet which is lord of the year be in its own house, for then it does no evil, and even the malefics are turned to beneficence.

[8] 巴比伦与埃及的前辈学者如是说：若太阳或月亮从那个星座所在的三方照见它——他们说，若是这样，年主最好在自己的庙，因为那样它就不作恶，连凶星也转而行善。

[9] If it is in the house of its enemy, opposite its own house, its evil is the more severe: he falls ill, and harm and loss in his property befall him, unless God wills.

[9] 若它在仇敌之庙、与自己的庙相对，它的恶就更重：他会生病，财产受损失，除非真主另有意欲。

[10] If it is so and it is Mars who governs the year, his intelligence and judgement decrease, and his mind turns right and left and to various places; there befall him things from blood and iron, nosebleed, or [lacuna] in his mind and speech; and perhaps illness and severe harm, or he travels on a journey in which there is neither good nor profit and is in exile from his country.

[10] 若是这样而掌管这一年的是火星，他的智力与判断力会下降，心思左右摇摆、四处游移；会遭遇血光与刀兵、鼻出血，或在心智与言语上〔此处原文有缺〕；或许还有疾病与重害，或出一趟既无好处也无收益的远门，客居他乡。

[11] If Saturn is as I have described, above the earth, it is bad for his property, and illness befalls his body from chills, pleurisy, and hurt, and his property decreases; perhaps a sting befalls him, and evil from the work of his hand, and failure in everything; from his work come worry, grief, and illness.

[11] 若土星如我所说而在地平之上，对财产不利，身体会因受寒、胸膜炎与损伤而生病，财产减少；或许会被蛰咬，亲手做的事带来祸害，事事落空；从他的工作里生出忧虑、悲伤与疾病。

[12] If it is Jupiter, he is little eager for property, and his property decreases without his being overpowered, in expenses of his own free will, so that he may be generous, or as a favour on the part of the city of his fathers or on the part of his children.

[12] 若是木星，他不太在乎钱财，财产减少并非被人所迫，而是出于自愿的花费，为了慷慨施与，或是为父祖之城、为子女尽一份心。

[13] If Venus is so, harm befalls him on the part of women, and quarrelling and ugly blame.

[13] 若金星如此，他会因女人受害，有争吵与难听的指责。

[14] If Mercury governs the year and is under the light of the Sun, harm befalls him from trade, or from a partner, or from writing and calculation, or from slaves and the like, with losses and breaches of agreement; his hope is cut off, except as God wills; they impute to him what he has not done; and perhaps property and good are offered to him and he does not accept them.

[14] 若掌管这一年的是水星，又在太阳光下，他会因经商、合伙、文书与算账、奴仆之类受害，有损失、有毁约；他的指望落空，除非真主另有意欲；别人把他没做的事加在他头上；或许有钱财好处送到面前，他却不接受。

[15] Valens also said: look at the planet that is lord of that year; on the day when the Sun enters the minute in which it was on the day the native was born, look at the hour in which that degree rises, and at the sign rising in the east; set up the Ascendant of the year in this counter-nativity, and the planets that regard it and its lord, both in the nativity and by transit.

[15] 瓦伦斯也说：看这一年的年主；在太阳进入此人出生那天所在那一分的日子，看那一度升起的时辰与东方升起的星座；在这张回归盘中立出流年的上升，并看在诞生盘与行经中照见它及其主的行星。

[16] Look at the Moon: where she is and in which sign, and find out how far she is from the degree in which she was on the day the native was born; make that sign the Ascendant of the year.

[16] 看月亮在哪里、在哪个星座，算出她离此人出生那天所在的度数有多远；以那个星座为流年的上升。

[17] If the lord of that sign, the lord of the year, is Mars and is oriental, the work in which he is engaged succeeds quickly, and the man's intelligence increases; for the malefics, when well placed in the counter-nativity, also do good, Mars bringing actions done with heat.

[17] 若那个星座之主、即年主是火星而东出，他所从事的工作很快就成，此人的智力也增长；因为凶星在回归盘里位置好时也行善，火星带来的是带着热劲的作为。

[18] If Saturn is lord of the year and is oriental, in his own light, the native will be a master of land, sowing, planting, and everything new, and he will dig channels and rivers; Saturn is likewise active in farming or building.

[18] 若土星为年主，东出、在自己的光中，此人会拥有田地、播种、栽植与一切新事物，会开渠挖河；土星同样主勤于农事或营造。

[19] If it is Jupiter, in his own light, emerging from under the beams and oriental, he will have good praise from the nobles, every work of his hand will be completed, and he will be honoured among the nobles; Jupiter gives alliance, a good marriage, friendship, and good repute; and if a child has been decreed for him, he inherits the property of his fathers.

[19] 若是木星，在自己的光中、已出光束而东出，他会受权贵称赞，亲手做的事件件完成，在权贵中受尊重；木星给人结交、好婚姻、友谊与好名声；若命中该有孩子，他还会继承父祖的财产。

[20] If Venus is lady of the year and is oriental, joy, marriage, and good on account of women befall the native, and favour from women.

[20] 若金星为年主而东出，此人会有喜事、婚姻、因女人得来的好处，以及女人的青睐。

[21] If Mercury is oriental in a good place, he gathers property and gains good from wisdom, judgement, knowledge, and good praise, and profit from words, with the help of God.

[21] 若水星东出又在好位置，他会积聚钱财，从智慧、判断、学问与好名声中得益，也从言辞中获利——靠真主相助。

In the divisions of the times, when we work out the circumambulations of the planets, know that the conjunctions of the planets, of the Ascendant, of the Midheaven, and of the Lot of Fortune with the fixed stars have the greatest strength and effect according to their mixtures, especially if they have the same wind.

在分配时间、推算行星行程时，要知道：行星、上升、中天与福点和恒星的会合，按其气质有极大的力量与作用，尤其两者同属一个风向时。

[22] Now I shall explain to you what happens when the year reaches the places where the planets were at the nativity.

[22] 现在我给你讲，流年到达诞生时行星所在之处会怎样。

But if the year, counted from the Hour-marker, comes [lacuna]

若从时辰标记者起数的那一年来到……〔此处原文有缺〕

[23] If the year reaches the sign in which Saturn was, and Saturn is in it or regards it from trine, square, or the seventh, the native gets a bad name, and ignorance, harm, and enmity from people and from his city befall him; and some of them incur the anger and enmity of the ruler.

[23] 若流年到达土星所在的星座，而土星在其中，或从三分、四分、对宫照见它，此人会得坏名声，遭遇愚昧、伤害，以及众人与本城的敌意；其中有人会触怒君主、与君主为敌。

[24] If the year reaches the IC or the angle of the Descendant and Saturn is in it or regards it as I have said above, harm, enmity from people, and evil that we fear for him befall him; and if Mars also regards it, the evil is more severe: he suffers cutting by iron, strangling, burning by fire, drowning, and fever, if this is fated for him.

[24] 若流年到达天底或下降之角，土星在其中或如上所说照见它，此人会受伤害、遭人敌视，有令人担忧的祸事；若火星也照见，祸事更重：会被刀砍、被勒、被火烧、溺水、发热——若这是他命中该有的。

[25] If Jupiter regards those malefics, the illness is eased.

[25] 若木星照见那些凶星，病就减轻。

[26] If the year reaches the place where Mars was, and Mars is as I have described to you in the case of Saturn, evil befalls him like what I said above.

[26] 若流年到达火星所在之处，而火星的情形如我说土星时那样，他会遭遇上面所说的那类祸事。

[27] If the year reaches the place of Jupiter, and Jupiter is in it or regards it as I have said above, then if a child is fitting for him, he will have one, and a marriage alliance, and his property increases.

[27] 若流年到达木星之处，木星在其中或如上所说照见它，那么若他该有孩子，就会得子，并结姻亲，财产增加。

[28] If the year reaches the place of Mars, and Mars and Saturn regard that sign, the native suffers hardship and grief in that year and is afraid on account of kings and their anger.

[28] 若流年到达火星之处，而火星与土星照见那个星座，此人这一年会遭艰难与悲伤，并因君王及其怒气而心惊。

[29] If the year reaches the place of a malefic, and it is in it, or another malefic is in it, he accomplishes nothing and flees, and is found in an offence on account of exile and haste [text uncertain].

[29] 若流年到达凶星之处，而它就在那里，或另一颗凶星在那里，他一事无成、出逃，又因流落异乡、行事仓促而被查出罪过〔原文疑有讹误〕。

[30] When the year reaches the place where Venus was, it is not unfortunate, and he is beneficent and admired; if he has reached the age of marriage, he marries and a child is born to him, if she was well placed in the root nativity.

[30] 流年到达金星所在之处时，不凶，他行善、受人钦佩；若到了婚龄，就会结婚生子——若金星在本命盘中位置好的话。

[31] If the year reaches the place of Mercury and Mercury is sound, he meets with good and a child is born to him.

[31] 若流年到达水星之处而水星良好，他会得好处、生孩子。

[32] But if Saturn regards it, he is put to shame on account of his child, grieves on account of slaves, and fighting and grief befall him.

[32] 但若土星照见它，他会因孩子蒙羞、因奴仆忧伤，遭遇争斗与悲伤。

[33] When in the turning of the years it reaches the place in which the Moon is, and Saturn regards it, illness befalls that native and his body is ruined.

[33] 流年转到月亮所在之处，而土星照见它时，此人会生病、身体受损。

[34] If Mercury regards Saturn, it is unfortunate for him: his work is rejected, and fighting, quarrels, and afflictions from the dead befall him.

[34] 若水星照见土星，对他不利：他的工作被退回，遭遇争斗、口角，以及丧事带来的不幸。

[35] If the turning of the years reaches the Ascendant and Jupiter and Venus regard it, good, honour, joy, and a child befall the native, and he marries a woman.

[35] 若流年转到上升，木星与金星照见它，此人会得好处、尊荣、喜乐与孩子，并娶妻。

[36] If Saturn and Mars regard it, his property and his good decrease and he grieves over his relatives.

[36] 若土星与火星照见它，他的财产与好处减少，并为亲属忧伤。

[37] If in the turning of the years it reaches the sign that was the fourth or the seventh, and Saturn is in it or regards it from the fourth or the seventh, that is a severe sign: severe pain or grief over property befalls him.

[37] 若流年转到原为第四或第七的星座，而土星在其中，或从第四、第七照见它，那是凶兆：他会剧痛，或为钱财忧伤。

[38] If Mars is with it, it is unfortunate: blood and afflictions from fire befall him, hot diseases befall him, he falls from a high place and meets no good, or he becomes like a madman.

[38] 若火星与它同在，就不吉：他会见血、遭火灾，得热病，从高处跌落，毫无好处，或者像个疯子。

[39] When the turning of the years reaches the tenth sign, and at the hour of birth [lacuna] was in it or regards it, every evil and affliction befalls that native and he receives no good from God.

[39] 流年转到第十个星座，而出生时有〔此处原文有缺〕在其中或照见它，此人会遭遇种种祸患灾难，得不到真主的任何好处。

[40] Look at the sign which the turning of the years reaches and at the seventh sign from it, and at who regards it from the seventh.

[40] 要看流年所到的星座及其第七个星座，看谁从第七照见它。

[41] If Saturn and Mars, or one of them, are in the seventh, there is no good in it.

[41] 若土星与火星或其中之一在第七，就不好。

[42] If Jupiter and Venus are in it, it is good and exalted.

[42] 若木星与金星在那里，就好，地位上升。

[43] Likewise with the months: if the malefics regard them or are in them, there is no good in them either.

[43] 月份也一样：若凶星照见它们或在其中，也不好。

[44] If the benefics regard them, they reduce something of the evil of the malefics.

[44] 若吉星照见它们，就能减去凶星的一些恶。

[45] If the benefics do not regard, the malefic harms that native's mother in that month.

[45] 若吉星不照见，凶星会在那个月伤害此人的母亲。

[46] Now I shall explain to you the matter of the months, so that you may know it.

[46] 现在我给你讲月份之事，好让你知道。

Let it be yours also to watch the month, speaking thus [lacuna]

你也当这样说着来察看月份……〔此处原文有缺〕

[47] If you want to know this, count from the sign, degree, and minute in which the Sun is to the sign, degree, and minute in which the Moon is at the hour of the native's birth; then cast it out from the Ascendant, and wherever the count is exhausted, find out which of the seven is lord of the sign you have reached: that planet is the lord of the month at the hour of the native's birth.

[47] 若想知道这个，就从太阳所在的星座、度、分，数到此人出生时月亮所在的星座、度、分，再从上升起抛去；数尽之处，看你到达的星座归七星中的哪一颗主管：那颗星就是此人出生时的月主。

[48] If the lord of the month is in a good place in which it rejoices, strong in light, and was so also in the root nativity, it is good.

[48] 若月主在它所喜的好位置，光强，在本命盘中也是如此，就好。

[49] If it was in a good place in the root nativity but, when you look, is in a bad place, that native's affairs are middling between the two.

[49] 若它在本命盘中在好位置，而你看时却在坏位置，此人的事就居于两者之间。

[50] If in the root nativity it was in a place in which there is no good, and when you look it is in a place in which there is no good, it is very unfortunate, with no good in it; and worse still if it is not seen in the east but is under the light of the Sun.

[50] 若它在本命盘中在不好的位置，你看时又在不好的位置，就很凶，毫无好处；若它在东方不可见、在太阳光下，就更糟。

[51] If the Moon is lady of the month, look at the Moon, on which side she is.

[51] 若月亮为月主，就看月亮在哪一侧。

[52] If she is ascending and increasing in her numbers, it is good; if she is descending and decreasing in her numbers, her affairs are middling between; if she is decreasing in light and increasing in her numbers, there is no good in it; and worse than that if she is increasing in light and decreasing in her numbers.

[52] 若她在上升、数值增加，就好；若她在下降、数值减少，她的事居中；若她光减而数值增加，就不好；若她光增而数值减少，就更糟。

[53] Besides this, look also at the planets. If the Sun is lord of the month, it is good when it is increasing the length of the day, and worse when it is decreasing the length of the day.

[53] 此外也要看各行星。若太阳为月主，在白昼渐长时就好，在白昼渐短时就较糟。

[54] You should also look at the testimony of the planets.

[54] 还要看各行星的见证。

[55] If you want to know the king of the days, look, from the time from which you want to know this, where the Sun and the Moon are; then reckon from the Sun to the Moon, and cast it out from the Ascendant that was at the hour the native was born.

[55] 若想知道日主，就从你要查的那个时刻起，看太阳与月亮在哪里；从太阳算到月亮，再从此人出生时的上升起抛去。

[56] Wherever that count is exhausted, look at who is the lord of that sign, for it is the king of the days among the planets.

[56] 数尽之处，看那个星座之主是谁，它就是众星中的日主。

[57] As for the days, you should also turn all the years into days, from the first day on which the native was born to the day you want, making each year 365¼ days; then cast them out seven by seven, giving each of the seven planets seven, beginning with the planet that is in the Ascendant, and then with the first governor.

[57] 至于日子，还要把从此人出生第一天到你要查的那天的所有年数都化成日数，每年算三百六十五又四分之一天；再七天七天地抛去，七颗行星每颗给七天，从在上升的那颗星开始，其次是第一位总管。

[58] First you cast out the reckoning by forty-nine days; and what remains, less than forty-nine days, you give seven to the lord of the sign of life, then seven to the one that follows it, until your reckoning of the days is exhausted.

[58] 先按四十九天抛去；剩下不足四十九天的，给生命之宫的主七天，再给下一颗七天，直到日数算尽。

[59] Where the reckoning of the days is exhausted, find out which planet it is, and in which sign the Moon is.

[59] 日数算尽之处，看是哪颗行星，再看月亮在哪个星座。

[60] If the Moon is in the sign at which the days ended, and in the nativity there was a malefic in that sign, illness and evil befall them.

[60] 若月亮在日数终止的那个星座，而诞生盘中那个星座有凶星，他们会遭病与祸。

[61] Likewise if the place is bad, when a malefic regards it at that time, or there was Saturn or Mars in that sign in the root nativity; but if that sign is the house of the malefics and the benefics regard it in transit, his affairs are middling.

[61] 同样，若那个位置不好，那时又有凶星照见它，或本命盘中那个星座里有土星或火星；但若那个星座是凶星的庙，而吉星在行经中照见它，他的事就居中。

[62] If it is the reverse, reverse the judgement.

[62] 若情形相反，判断也反过来。

[63] Look at the Moon, and at which of the benefics and malefics regard her.

[63] 看月亮，看哪些吉星、凶星照见她。

[64] If the planet that regards the Moon is a benefic at the head of fifteen degrees [text uncertain], that day is hard for the native, and that night he finds rest and he recovers on the morrow.

[64] 若照见月亮的那颗星是吉星，在第十五度之首〔原文疑有讹误〕，那一天对此人很难熬，当夜他得以休息，次日康复。

[65] Now I shall explain to you a chapter on chronic illness.

[65] 现在我给你讲论慢性病的一章。

[66] Look at the sixth sign from the sign of life and find out whose house it is among the seven; and look at the nature of that sign, whether it is one of the human signs, or of the four-footed, or of the signs of wild beasts;

[66] 看生命之宫（上升）起算的第六个星座，弄清它是七星中哪一颗的庙；再看那个星座的本性，是人形星座、四足星座，还是猛兽星座；

[67] then look at the lord of the sign and find out what its origin and nature are. If both are corrupted and their origin is from moisture, that native suffers afflictions from moist pains and chills, pain in his joints, and a pain that lasts long with him; Saturn brings these through fluxes.

[67] 再看那个星座之主，弄清它的来历与本性。若两者都受损，又源于湿气，此人会因湿病与受寒而受苦，关节疼痛，病痛缠身不去；土星借流液（风湿）带来这些。

[68] If the sign is the house of Mars, he suffers cutting by iron and cautery by fire, or dogs or wild beasts bite him, and some are pierced by a spear; and many afflictions befall him.

[68] 若那个星座是火星的庙，他会被刀砍、被火烙，或被狗与野兽咬，有人被长矛刺中；会遭许多灾殃。

[69] These afflictions occur when that planet is bright and shining; but if it is hidden under the light of the Sun, he suffers pain or colic, his belly is cut open, and he dies of it.

[69] 这些灾殃发生在那颗星明亮发光的时候；若它隐在太阳光下，他会腹痛绞痛，肚子被剖开，并因此而死。

[70] You should know the place of that sign and its nature.

[70] 你应当知道那个星座的位置与本性。

[71] If that sign is the house of Jupiter, [72] these afflictions seize that native through love of wine, and his liver swells.

[71] 若那个星座是木星的庙，[72] 此人会因嗜酒而染上这些病，肝也会肿。

If that sign is the house of Venus, the afflictions come from passion for women: their malady seizes him like madness, and his reason and his sense of shame depart in pursuit of women, or he suffers in his lungs; and worse if Venus is in a masculine sign.

若那个星座是金星的庙，病由迷恋女人而来：这种病像疯癫一样抓住他，他为追逐女人失了理智与廉耻，或者肺部受病；若金星在阳性星座就更糟。

[73] If that sign is the house of Mercury, it ruins that native's voice and speech: he can scarcely speak except with difficulty, his hearing decreases,

[73] 若那个星座是水星的庙，会损坏此人的嗓音与言语：他说话非常吃力，听力减退，

[74] and a hoarseness seizes him in his throat; he becomes deaf, or mute, or lisping, or a stammerer; Mercury does the same when he is with Saturn or in the terms of Saturn. If that sign is the house of the Sun, of the Moon, or of Mars, chronic illness befalls him in his eyes; from the Sun he suffers pain in his heart, from the Moon pain in his spleen; and Mars, as lord of the sixth, maims when Jupiter and Venus do not regard him.

[74] 喉咙沙哑；或成聋子、哑巴、口齿不清、口吃；水星与土星同在或在土星的界，也是这样。若那个星座是太阳、月亮或火星的庙，他的眼睛会得慢性病；由太阳则心痛，由月亮则脾痛；火星为第六位之主，若木星、金星不照见他，就使人残缺。

[75] Some of the first scholars reckoned by day from Saturn to Mars and by night from Mars to Saturn, then cast the reckoning out from the Ascendant; this is the Lot of Injury. Wherever the reckoning ended or the number was exhausted, they looked at who was the lord of that sign and how it lies, and then at which limb of the body that sign is, and said that the chronic illness is in such-and-such a limb of the body, according to what is named for that sign.

[75] 前辈学者中有人白天从土星算到火星，夜里从火星算到土星，再从上升起抛去；这就是伤疾点。数到哪里、数尽之处，他们看那个星座之主是谁、处境如何，再看那个星座管身体哪一部分，就说慢性病在身体的某某部位，照那个星座所分管的来说。

[76] Aries is the head, Taurus the neck, Gemini the shoulders, Cancer the hands and the chest, Leo the flanks and the heart, Virgo the belly and the spine, Libra the bladder, which is between the hips, Scorpio the penis, the testicles, and the anus, Sagittarius both thighs, Capricorn the knees, Aquarius the shins, Pisces the feet.

[76] 白羊是头，金牛是颈，双子是双肩，巨蟹是双手与胸，狮子是两胁与心，处女是腹与脊柱，天秤是膀胱（在两髋之间），天蝎是阴茎、睾丸与肛门，射手是双股，摩羯是双膝，水瓶是小腿，双鱼是双脚。

[77] There were also some of the first scholars who looked at the human body from the Moon.

[77] 前辈学者中也有人从月亮来看人的身体。

[78] They said: if the malefics regard the Moon from square or from the seventh — and they looked at life from the Ascendant, Venus, and Mercury (and at the regard of the malefics to them), and at the nature of the place in which they are, whether that sign is one of the four-footed signs, of the human signs, or of the water signs — they looked at which limb of the body that sign belongs to, and said that the chronic illness is in that limb of the person's body.

[78] 他们说：若凶星从四分或第七照见月亮——他们从上升、金星、水星（以及凶星对它们的照见）来看生命，并看它们所在位置的本性，是四足星座、人形星座还是水象星座——他们看那个星座属身体哪一部分，就说慢性病在人身的那个部位。

[79] If you want to know whether the chronic illness will be on the right side or on the left, look from the tenth sign to the sign of life.

[79] 若想知道慢性病在右侧还是左侧，就看第十个星座到生命之宫之间。

[80] If there is one of the seven in it, it is called the right side; if there is none of the seven in it, it is called the left side.

[80] 若其间有七星之一，就叫右侧；若一颗也没有，就叫左侧。

[81] Look at the fourth angle from the Ascendant and at the lord of its triplicity by day and the lord of its triplicity by night, which planet it is.

Some of them looked at the nature of the eighth sign from the sign of life, looking at what the origin and nature of that sign is, and so learned whether it is one of the water signs or the dry signs, or of the human signs, or of the four-footed signs, or of the signs of wild beasts.

[158] There were also some of the astrologers who reckoned from the Moon to the eighth from the Hour-marker, and then gave it out again from Saturn; at whatever place the count ended, they looked at that sign, at the lord of the place, and at the planets that are its witnesses, and from these they declared the end, shameful or noble, judging good or evil for him.

[167] Some of the astrologers looked at the fourth angle and at the lords of its triplicity, as I have written to you above.

[180] If Venus is in the seventh house, and the Moon is in a foreign place with the malefics with her, that native's death comes on account of a woman who has had many husbands who then died.

[180] 若金星在第七宫，而月亮在异乡之位、又有凶星同在，此人死于一个嫁过许多丈夫、丈夫又都死了的女人。

[181] If Jupiter is like Venus, he dies on account of his children, or on account of a name equal to his own, fair, and of good repute, for which he is envied [text uncertain].

[182] If Mars is like Venus, it is on account of his brothers.

[186] Each of the seven, when it reaches the place that regarded it from the seventh on the day the native was born, is very unfortunate; every planet that by transit opposes itself is bad.

[187] When it reaches the place in which it was on the day the native was born, it is also unfortunate.

[188] Worse than this, and more severe in its misfortune, is when Mars reaches the place in which Jupiter or the Sun is, by day, and when Saturn reaches the place in which the Moon is, by night; and worse still if Mars is setting or stationary.

[189] Worse still if there is a malefic in it: the native suffers afflictions in his body and lawsuits with his father.

Mars does the same when he comes to the opposition of the Sun or of Jupiter; and the Sun or Jupiter, by transit entering upon Mars or opposing him, does the same.

[190] If Saturn and Mars are in trine to the sign in which the planet was on the day the native was born, it is milder than when they are in the fourth or the seventh; for oppositions are the most lofty of all configurations, and squares are stronger than bodily conjunctions.

[191] If the malefics are in the right square, which is also called overcoming, there is no good in it, for the malefics entering there and overcoming the planets harm more strongly;

[192] but if they are the benefics, it is good, and they give wealth, gladness, and honours [text uncertain]. If the benefics are in its trine, the native meets with good, for in the trine places the benefics become still more beneficent.

[193] When the malefics are in its trine, they act more bluntly.

[194] When the native has passed thirty years, the afflictions of Saturn diminish [text uncertain]; and Mars becomes lighter when forty-five years are completed.

[195] If Saturn and Mars rise after the angles, that native also suffers lawsuits and hardship; and the destroyers, entering upon the four angles or the luminaries, are painful.

[196] If Saturn and Mars were in a place with no good in the root nativity, and the benefics too are in a place with no good in the revolution of the years, the good that would come to that native in that year is diminished; for benefics placed from the beginning in bad places become weak in transit, just as malefics that were from the beginning in the places of the benefics and in their own places make the harms of transit blunter.

[196] 若土星与火星在本命盘中位置不好，而吉星在流年中也位置不好，此人这一年该得的好处就会减少；因为吉星本命落在坏位置，在行经中就无力；正如凶星本命在吉星之位、在自己的位置，行经时的伤害就较钝。

Know that the positions of the planets at the nativity remain fixed, while those by entry are always configured to the original positions, in trine, in square, or in opposition; this chapter on entries is necessary for saying when the things signified come to pass; and stations in such entries by transit are worse.

要知道，诞生时各星的位置是固定的，而行经进入的位置总是与原来的位置构成三分、四分或对冲；这一章论行经，是判断所主之事何时应验所必需的；行经时在这类进入中停留，更凶。

[197] When the Moon reaches her own place in the revolution of the years, that native is in good spirits and rejoices, with an elation of mind.

If she is in a tropical sign, she moves him from one undertaking to another.

[206] When the Moon reaches the house of life, she lifts up that native's soul.

[207] When the Moon reaches the tenth angle, that native's work in that year is done openly, according to the regard of the benefics and the malefics to it; it brings advancement and glory, and what kind of glory you will know from the planet that testifies to the Moon.

[208] When she reaches the seventh angle, the native prospers, triumphs over his enemy, and obtains his revenue; she is good against the plots of enemies.

[209] When the Moon reaches the fourth angle in the revolution of the years, it concerns the secret matter that he hides and conceals, and is good for hidden and secret affairs; and if that native is thinking of making a will, it is good.

[210] When Saturn and Mars reach the place of Jupiter in the revolution of the years, they ruin the good of Jupiter: Saturn harms all that Jupiter provides and quenches every undertaking and impulse, and Mars brings losses.

[211] When Saturn and Mars reach the place of Venus and Mercury in the revolution of the years, they diminish their good.

[212] When Saturn reaches the place of Mars in the revolution of the years, it ruins the native's heart, corrupts him, and makes his soul base, making him timid and unwilling.

Saturn coming to the Sun brings dangers and lawsuits on account of authority, and more so when stationary; Saturn coming to the Moon is likewise bad, bringing blame and reproaches, and worse if Saturn is stationary; Saturn in opposition to the Moon is bad, especially when he is under the beams, for he brings illnesses, as does Mars when he regards the Moon in this way.

土星到太阳，因权势带来危险与官司，停留时更甚；土星到月亮也一样凶，带来指责与羞辱，土星停留时更糟；土星与月亮对冲很凶，尤其他在光束下时，因为他带来疾病，火星这样照见月亮时也一样。

[213] When Mars reaches the place of Saturn in the revolution of the years, it improves the native's soul, strengthens it, and he prevails over his enemy; it makes men unhesitating, ready, and active, and rouses them against their enemies.

[213] 流年中火星到达土星之处，会改善、增强此人的心志，使他胜过仇敌；使人不迟疑、有准备、有作为，激起他们去对付仇敌。

Fiery Ares, when he comes after Kronos to the father of Zeus, has spurred the mind, driven away the hesitation of the idle spirit, and made the man most ready, setting tension in him so that sorrows may come upon them.

火热的阿瑞斯若来到宙斯之父克洛诺斯之后，就激发心志，驱走懒散的迟疑，使人最为敏捷，又给他注入紧张，以致他们遭受苦难。

[214] When Mars reaches the place of Venus and Jupiter in the revolution of the years, he takes away all the native's good in that year, turning what they provide to the worse; to Venus he brings irregularities on account of love affairs.

[215] If Mars is under the light of the Sun, that native in that year is seized by fever, heat, and hot pain, or suffers loss from fire, and his mind is ruined; if the native's father is alive, grief befalls the native on account of his father, and it may even destroy him, or an old man who stands in the place of a father; and his affairs in his work and with the kings are ruined, especially in public affairs.

[215] 若火星在太阳光下，此人这一年会发热、燥热、患热病，或受火灾之损，心神错乱；若父亲在世，此人会因父亲而忧伤，甚至父亲因此丧命，或是一位如同父亲的长者；他在工作上、在与君王打交道上都会出岔子，尤其在公事上。

[216] When Mars reaches the place of the Moon in the revolution of the years, that native suffers pain in his body, or loss of property, and afterwards recovers, and prevails over his enemy with hardship and toil.

[216] 流年中火星到达月亮之处，此人身体疼痛，或钱财受损，之后恢复，并历尽艰辛胜过仇敌。

[217] When Jupiter reaches the place of Saturn in the revolution of the years, he takes away the ruin of Saturn in that year, relieves a grief that was already there, and the native gains property and good.

[217] 流年中木星到达土星之处，会除去这一年土星的败坏，减轻原有的忧愁，此人得财得益。

[218] When Jupiter reaches the place of Mars in the revolution of the years, it is good: it increases the native's property and he prevails over his enemy in that year; and likewise when Mars reaches the place of Saturn.

[219] When [lacuna] reaches [lacuna]: Jupiter coming into the square of Mars or of Saturn likewise signifies good things, and so does Venus; for the benefics, coming into the squares of the destroyers, always bring pleasures, health, and honours.

[220] When Venus reaches the place of Jupiter in the revolution of the years, there is no good in the affairs of women: grief and quarrelling befall the native in that year, his hopes prove false, and nothing that he plans comes about.

[220] 流年中金星到达木星之处，女人方面的事不顺：此人这一年会有忧伤与争吵，希望落空，所谋之事一样也不成。

[221] When Venus reaches the place of Mars in the revolution of the years, anger departs from the native, and he does not regard anyone [text uncertain].

Venus coming to Saturn is good for action and for everything, just as Mars coming to Saturn is good.

[222] When Venus reaches the place of Mercury in the revolution of the years, she increases the native's work, increasing what Mercury provides.

[223] When Venus reaches the place of the Moon in the revolution of the years, it is good in work and cheerful, but a bad name concerning women flies about him.

[227] When Mercury reaches the place of Jupiter, it is good in every work, and best of all if that native wants to go in before kings.

[228] When Mercury reaches the place of Mars, that native's heart becomes hard, all treachery.

[229] When Mars reaches the place of Mercury in the revolution of the years, that native is distressed, entertains thoughts with no good in them, becomes hostile to his friends and suspicious of them, and some of them have slaves who disdain them or run away, or thefts; and loss befalls him in his property, for above all it diminishes livelihood and undoes undertakings.

[235] Look at these four angles: the reckoning of the native's life is known from the Ascendant, which is the first angle; the matter of children, of work, and of honour is known from the tenth; the matter of women and marriage, and of old age, is known from the seventh angle; the end of life is known from the fourth angle, which also governs the hidden parts of the body, foundations, buildings, and markets; and the matter of the body and of property is known from the division of the degrees and of the kinds.

[236] Look at the angles, for the Ascendant gives the matter of youth, from the place where the Sun rises out of the water, when the darkness of the eyes lifts from the people of the world and the eyes of the messengers whom He sends to His creatures are lit [text uncertain].

[237] After youth, look at the tenth angle and its gift, until the native's body grows warm, the hair of his groin grows, and he loves intercourse.
