XXVII. On Mercury's Lodging in the Places.

第二十七章　论水星入驻诸位。

[1] If Mercury is in the Ascendant, oriental, the native will be good and accommodating in everything and toward everyone; he will have many children, be intelligent and eloquent, known to everyone, and eager for learning and for speech.

[1] 若水星在上升，又东出，此人良善，事事随和、对人人亲近；子女多，聪明而善言，人人都认识他，热心于学问与言辞。

[2] If Mercury is at the Midheaven, or in the place following the angle of the Midheaven, or in the place following the Ascendant, and in a tropical sign, he will be known and praised among the peoples and among men of repute; yet such men are unstable in their undertakings and do not persevere in their craft.

[2] 若水星在中天，或在中天之角的后一宫，或在上升的后一宫，又在回归星座，此人在各族与有名望的人中闻名、受称道；但这类人行事不稳，在技艺上不能持久。

[3] Mercury at the Midheaven or in the Ascendant, oriental, gives brothers; and if the sign is bicorporeal, he will be a fosterer and a teacher, or a guardian set over the children of others.

[3] 水星在中天或上升而东出，会赐人兄弟；若星座是双体星座，此人会是抚养者、教师，或受托照管别人孩子的监护人。

[4] If he is in a feminine sign, the native gains honour on account of women, for in a feminine sign the advancement of his livelihood always comes from a woman.

[4] 若水星在阴性星座，此人会因女人得到尊荣，因为在阴性星座，他生计的进益总是来自女人。

[5] However you find Mercury at the Midheaven or in the Ascendant, he will be rich, or a scribe, a grammarian or a geometer, or one whose livelihood comes from reckoning.

[5] 不论水星以何种方式在中天或上升，此人会富有，或是书记、文法家、几何家，或靠算术谋生。

[6] If Venus is with him, he will be a poet or a maker of speeches, a famous singer and musician, praised among many people.

[6] 若金星与他同在，此人会是诗人或作文辞的人，是著名的歌者与乐师，为许多人所称道。

[7] If Mercury has Jupiter with him, he speaks by revelation, a theologian and a prophet, and becomes great; and if the rest of the nativity is good, neither they nor the benefics being harmed by the malefics, he will be set over many people as a head and administrator in houses of worship, in the houses of kings, in the cities, or in the countries, especially if the sign is tropical.

[7] 若水星有木星同在，此人会以启示说话，是神学家、先知，地位尊大；若盘中其余部分也好，它们与吉星都不受凶星伤害，他会居于众人之上，在礼拜之所、王宫、城邑或国中做首领与主管，在回归星座时尤其如此。

If Mercury is also the lord of the Sun, of the Moon, or of the Lot of Fortune, they become administrators of temples, of kings, or of cities.

若水星同时又是太阳、月亮或福点的主星，此人会成为神庙、君王或城邦的主管。

[8] But if he is under the beams of the Sun, he will keep secrets, scarcely showing anything of what is in his mind, a man of stratagems and crooked counsel.

[8] 但若水星在太阳光束之下，此人守口如瓶，心里的事几乎一点也不显露，多计谋，心思弯曲。

[9] If Mercury is in the Descendant, there is no good in his brothers or his children, for he destroys them, and disputes, slanders, and accusations are stirred up against him, especially if the sign is bicorporeal or tropical or Mars regards him; and he signifies the same when he is under the earth.

[9] 若水星在下降，此人的兄弟与子女都没有好处，因为水星会毁掉他们；纷争、诽谤与控告会冲着他而起，尤其星座是双体或回归星座、或火星照见时；水星在地下（天底）时也主同样的事。

[10] If Mercury is under the earth, rejoicing in his light, with the benefics or the malefics, he will be of good intention, intelligent, shrewd, and secretive, for Mercury always rejoices in being with malefics and benefics alike: the benefics make him effective, the malefics crafty and intelligent.

[10] 若水星在地下，光芒欢欣，与吉星或凶星同在，此人心地好、聪明、精明而隐秘，因为水星与凶星、吉星同在都会欢喜：吉星使他办事有成，凶星使他狡猾而聪明。

But if the malefics regard, the benefics being turned away, he will be with this a sorcerer or a wicked thief full of falsehood, faithless, a robber of temples, a perjurer, a liar, and a poisoner.

但若凶星照见，而吉星背离，此人会因此成为巫师，或满口谎言的恶贼，不讲信义，盗窃神庙，发假誓，说谎，下毒。

If Mercury is afflicted together with Venus and Jupiter does not regard, he provides the native with a moderate livelihood, gained deliberately and in a blameworthy way, and brings no small harm to those who partake of such means: these are the so-called love-potions and hate-potions and the like.

若水星与金星一同受伤害，而木星不照见，水星会给此人一份中等的生计，是有意以可指摘的方式得来的，对分享这种来路的人带来不小的伤害：这就是所谓的催爱饮剂、催恨饮剂之类。
