XXIV. On Jupiter's Lodging in the Places.

第二十四章　论木星入驻诸位。

[1] If Jupiter is in the Ascendant, the native will have a good marriage, children, and brothers whom he loves, and praise; he will be virtuous, a guardian or a ruler, especially in a diurnal nativity; in a nocturnal nativity it is less than this.

[1] 若木星在上升，此人婚姻美满，有子女，有他所爱的兄弟，受人称道；他有德行，是监护人或首领，白天出生尤其如此；夜里出生则不及于此。

[2] If Jupiter is in a feminine sign, his mother is better than his father; if in a masculine sign, his father is better than his mother; and if in a bicorporeal sign, the native is called after two fathers.

[2] 若木星在阴性星座，此人的母亲胜过父亲；在阳性星座，父亲胜过母亲；在双体星座，此人会以两个父亲之名相称。

[3] If Jupiter is in the Ascendant and Saturn in the Descendant, he destroys his brothers who were born before him and harms his father; the native sees what he desires befall his enemies, with praise and good repute, and he will be in houses of worship and in the houses of kings, or will preside over the people, entrusted with the affairs of the community.

[3] 若木星在上升、土星在下降，会害死比他先出生的兄长，并伤及父亲；此人会看到仇敌遭殃如其所愿，有称誉、有好名声；他会出入礼拜之所与王宫，或主持民众，受托掌管众人之事。

[4] If, in this configuration, Mars is in the tenth, that is the Midheaven, or in the place following it, or in the second place, he diminishes what I have mentioned, or ruins it at its end.

[4] 若在这个配置里，火星在第十宫即中天，或在其后一宫，或在第二宫，就会削减我所说的这些好处，或在末了败坏它们。

[5] If Jupiter is in the Ascendant and Mars in the Descendant, the native will be stronger than his enemies and superior to them; if Venus testifies to Jupiter it is better, and if the Moon too is regarded with this, it is higher and finer still.

[5] 若木星在上升、火星在下降，此人会强过仇敌、胜过他们；若金星给木星作证就更好，若同时月亮也被照见，就更高贵、更好。

[6] If Jupiter is at the Midheaven, the native will be of far-reaching fame, noble and conspicuous, with good fortune and children, especially in a diurnal nativity.

[6] 若木星在中天，此人声名远播，高贵显赫，有福有子，白天出生尤其如此。

[7] If Mars is with this in a good place and in his own sect, the native will be one of the commanders and leaders of armies, renowned and praised.

[7] 若火星与此同时在好的位置、又合自己的区分，此人会是统帅、军队的首领，有名望、受称道。

[8] If Venus regards, his good fortune increases on account of women, and he will be praised and well known.

[8] 若金星照见，此人的福分因女人而增加，受人称道、为人熟知。

[9] If Mercury regards from a good place by day, he increases in knowledge, intelligence, and understanding, and gains his livelihood from speech and learning.

[9] 若白天水星从好的位置照见，此人学识、智慧与见识都增长，靠言辞与学问谋生。

[10] If Jupiter is in the angle of the Descendant, it signifies that in his old age his condition and standing improve, his old age being better than his youth, and his end is good, for it signifies a good death; this is best if Jupiter is in his house or his exaltation; but he toils and suffers in his youth, is harassed by enemies, and sees the death of his wives and brothers, especially if a malefic regards Jupiter or is with him, for then it brings dangers and plots.

[10] 若木星在下降之角，主此人晚年境况与地位改善，晚年胜于少年，结局好，因为它主善终；木星在本庙或旺时最好；但他少年时劳苦受难，受仇敌欺侮，见到妻子与兄弟之死，尤其有凶星照见木星或与他同在时，因为那会带来危险与阴谋。

But he will have work and business in the houses of kings and commanders, living in princely courts as master of other people's affairs, receiving gifts and praise; he will possess wealth and goods from the power he gains, his praise increases, and when he dies he leaves behind a good name and fair repute.

但他会在君王与统帅的府邸中任事经营，生活在王侯的宫廷里，掌管别人的事务，受人馈赠与称赞；他因所得的权势而拥有财富与产业，名声日增，死后留下好名声与美誉。

[11] If the Descendant is a tropical sign, he departs and flees from his kin, incurs the anger of kings, and ruins the property of his fathers, especially if a malefic regards Jupiter (and we have seen men like this who were masters and chiefs and then went out from their wealth reduced to nothing); and such a man settles down with a slave woman, a courtesan, a foreign woman, or one of lower standing than himself.

[11] 若下降是回归星座，此人会离开、逃离亲族，触怒君王，败坏父辈的财产，尤其有凶星照见木星时（我们见过这样的人，曾是主人、首领，后来失去财产，落得一无所有）；这样的人会与婢女、娼妇、外乡女人，或门第比他低的女人过日子。

[12] If Jupiter in the Descendant regards Venus, while Mercury and Mars regard, and the Moon is with him, it signifies licentiousness, affliction, and toil: they will be adulterers, lewd, and with few brothers.

[12] 若在下降的木星照见金星，而水星、火星也照见，月亮又与他同在，主放荡、苦难与劳顿：此人会通奸、好色，兄弟稀少。

[13] If Jupiter is in the Descendant and Venus regards him or is with him, and both regard the Moon, he will be a learned man, an utterer of oracles and a seer, who tells a thing before it happens.

[13] 若木星在下降，金星照见他或与他同在，而两者都照见月亮，此人会是有学问的人，宣示神谕、能预言，事未发生就先说出来。

[14] If Jupiter is under the earth, it signifies benefit from secret work: he grants inheritances and the finding of treasures, the native rises, manages his property and goods well, and the condition of his parents is good, for it signifies glorious parents; but the children are hostile to their parents, and there is no good in his marriage, or he marries at the end of his life, and children are born to him late in his life or in the middle of it; in the middle of his years he falls from his good fortune, then rises again and sets his affairs right.

[14] 若木星在地下（天底），主从隐秘之事得益：它给人遗产与发现宝藏，此人地位上升，善于打理财产与家业，父母境况也好，因为它主父母显赫；但子女与父母为敌，婚姻没有好处，或到晚年才结婚，子女在晚年或中年才生；他在中年时从好运中跌落，之后又重新振作，把事情理顺。
