XLIII. Chapter: Explaining the Phase of the Moon and the Head and Tail of the Dragon, Which Signify Buying and Selling, Cheapness and Dearness.

第四十三章　论月相与龙头龙尾，主买卖与贵贱。

[1] The Head is called the ascending and the Tail the descending; and the signs that the learned in the stars call the covered ones, from Leo to Capricorn, are the side of descent, and from Aquarius to Cancer the side of ascent.

[1] 龙头叫作升，龙尾叫作降；星学家所称的「遮蔽」星座，从狮子到摩羯是下降之侧，从水瓶到巨蟹是上升之侧。

[2] Look: if the Moon is in the side of ascent, at the ascending node, full of light, her course increasing in her numbers in longitude and latitude, whatever you buy, you will give more than you should: whoever buys then buys dear, above the price it is worth.

[2] 要看：若月亮在上升之侧、在升交点，光正盈满，行程中经度与纬度的数值都在增加，那么你买什么，都会付得比该付的多：那时买东西的人买得贵，高于它所值的价。

[3] But if she is in the side of descent, travelling in the descending node and going toward less, decreasing in her reckoning, the purchase will be light: whoever buys then buys cheap, for less than the price it is worth.

[3] 但若她在下降之侧、行经降交点、走向减少，推算值在减少，买卖就便宜：那时买东西的人买得便宜，低于它所值的价。

[4] Look also at the phase of the Moon.

[4] 还要看月相。

[5] Her phase, when she comes out from under the beams of the Sun and goes from the conjunction until she reaches the left square of the blazing Sun, is better for the more just: it benefits those whose intention in buying and selling is honesty and good faith; for whoever buys goods then will give money as much as it was worth buying, and will lay down the better business, neither less nor too much more: he buys it at what it is worth, with neither cheapness nor dearness in it.

[5] 她的相态，从出离太阳光束、由合朔起，直到走到炽亮太阳的左方四分为止，对较公道的人更好：买卖时存心诚实守信的人会由此得益；因为那时买货的人付的钱正合货值，做成的是更好的生意，不少也不多：他按货值买进，不贱也不贵。

[6] When the Moon travels from the left square of the Sun until she reaches the opposition of the Sun, it will benefit the seller and the one who begins a dispute, the accuser.

[6] 月亮从太阳的左方四分走到与太阳对冲为止，对卖方与挑起争讼的一方、即控告者有利。

[7] When she travels from the opposition of the Sun until she reaches the right square of the Sun — the third square — then it is good to buy what one wants, or to make off with it by stealth: the buyer benefits from it, and the one from whom a right is claimed.

[7] 她从与太阳对冲走到太阳的右方四分为止——即第三个四分——那时宜于买想买的东西，或暗中取得：买方由此得益，被讨债、被控告的一方也是。

[8] When the Moon travels from the right square of the Sun until she reaches the place of the Sun, the goddess going to the conjunction on her fourth side, you would give little out of much, and that will be better for you: the people whose intention is truth and justice benefit from it.

[8] 月亮从太阳的右方四分走到太阳所在之处为止，即女神沿第四边走向合朔时，你会以少换多，这对你更好：存心于真实与公正的人由此得益。
